    US WDC SERVER - CHERNARUS

    Due to all of the hacking we which takes place DAYZ, a few guys have put money towards a server that we are running and we'd like you to join! We currently have a player base of around 15 players and 3 clans, but are looking to grow the community. The server is currently password protected as this is our attempt to stop hackers from joining the server and only allow genuine players who wish to play the game in a hack free environment, it also allows new players access to vehicles. The server is currently full of vehicles and plenty are very accessible. The server is hosted by DayZ.ST and always has a very good ping, the actual server is located in Washington. The server is now running the latest version of Bliss and Dayz v1.7.4.4 The server IP is: 173.193.202.109:2636 We have just completed a website for the server and all information can be found here: http://dayzwdcserver.zxq.net/ Rules All current game rules can be found via the link, these rules have been worked on by all players who are currently playing on the server and online polls are conducted on a weekly basis if players have any suggestions on how to make the community better. Hey man, I'd recommend checking out British Sargeants Mess server that I frequent: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/107612-british-sergeants-mess-bsm-fully-admind-more-loot-vehicles-weapons/ It's a Private Hive on Chernarus, which is closely admin'd, with a very good base of players. There's a bandit clan that regular, and a lot of help in getting yourself set-up in the server at the moment. I'd really recommend taking a look, I'm having a great time on there!

  6. I love playing dayz and i also play a mission file called Takistan Life Revolution. But now whenever i try to join a TLR server a big window pops up saying i dont have files like: arma vehicles and stuff like that. I am not a big computer guy and i am very confused can someone please help me. -jkwizzle21

We do have pvp servers , we are providing something different to dayz , if people simply dosnt like the rules then we kindly thank them for joining but they can kindly move on there way. also we only ban players if they are being a bandit but at the moment any vehicles on the server are free to take if unowned, players will get warned and kicked if needs be, we are trying to have a pure friendly server with something different , as i just said , if people dont like this then they can kindly move on. there are plenty of other servers out there with there needs. We have disabled that map and we have it more privatly now also only selected admins are able to see it. *it was down to our host which we have contacted and complained at*
  8. Custom load out now includes a hand gun (limited ammo) 0-15 min rollback available on server now. Quite handy when 3 hackers decided to move 50% of the vehicles to their location. Detected, banned and rollback initiated within 2 mins....have it scumbags ! Just wanted also to pass on some love and thanks to our legitimate community base for making this server a great place to play, also thanks for the stream of information that is passed to admin with regards to dishonest conduct. It's your efforts that spur the admin and designers on to maintain, develop, fund and police this ever increasingly popular server.   10. I agree, combat logging should be activated by zombie aggro. Not being able to get rid of the horde of zombies chasing you by simply logging out would be awesome. Woah, nice. Zeds not spawning while in vehicles is a total immersion breaker. So is the fact you're magically safe getting in one. Frankie doesn't like this. Am I the only one who didn't know there was a chance of infection from zed attacks? :huh:

    If I had the same experience as the OP id be frustrated as well. However, I had a totally awesome weekend playing Celle most of the time. Lots of space but also small towns good for fire fights. Also lots of vehicles needing repair so good for team work and meeting new friends.

    There is so much i dont know where to start.il mention the most important ones. -less military type of weapons,vehicles and clothing. -more civilian type of the same stuff. -more endgame content is maybe the most important. -the end of following. Hacking, glitching, duping, ghosting, server hopping, force spawning. -Autogyro -working ATV's

    I would love to see some skillpoints implanted, but not like in any other MMO where you got to train them. It should be like when you spawn a new char you choose some specific skills, like medicin(you can take and give medical supplies), weapon maintance(gives you the ability to clean weapons and keep them working, while others weapons will break after some time and they dont have the skill to fix it again), mechanics(you can repair vehicles) everybody should be able to play there style so all klasses can use all things that are out there, but you need specific roles to finish spezific goals, like fixing weapons, vehicles or injuries. That is just little what should be possible and would make the gameplay more teambased. So lonewolfs are able to survive alone but if someone got a specific need that he does not have the skill for he needs to get social, what should be much much harder when you are in a banditskin. WTF, Dude!?!

    remove helicopter or nerf it

    I dont spend as much time on the forums as most people....but i find it so ridiculous that people try to get there idea across with the lame tag of realism or in your case "illogical" You better reload your axe with 10000000 swings.Because after i run in sprint for a hour..eat 10 tins of beans and chicken stake,brake my leg from steping off the 2nd step in the barn and shoot up morphine to recalcify my broken bones instantly .shoot a unarmored person in the heart with a DMR and they run away with shock.eat 10 more tins of beens and drink 10 cans/4 letters of softdrink just so there's none for the next person.crash, go from 60kmh to 0 in 0.001 of a second and walk away or drive on a bridge and get flown in the air randomly...after all that i want to be able to jump in a helicopter and be exactly the same in real life..because this isn't a game..this is LIFE!. That being said im sure there are legitimate augments as to why helicopters can be removed...But using a post by rocket about lights in a city being illogical. by saying flying should be more realistic its "logical"?.. To me it just makes you look butt hurt about helicopters. Sorry for the tone, but honestly man you provided no legit reason why helis should be removed.. as far as " it would eliminate the abuse of admin or cheaters and increase the level of very rare object and survival or remove army helicopter and add civilian helicopter or helicopter reporter" I think the only way it will reduce the number of "cheaters and abusive admins" is by driving people away from the game ..(And it wouldnt stop the cheaters...you would just see a increase in non dayz vehicles being spawned)I also trust ROCKET if he dose change the games vehicles(or anything for that matter) it will be for the best of the game for the vision he has with the final product How about providing a constrictive idea..like making helicopters only usabil when someone is in the fly chief chair? or what ever its called..or making the guns on the side require ammo? Or one that fits in with your take on "realism".disabling or tweeking the auto hover?.. "then we would have implanted a system of skill initially as a bit jagged alliance has it gives you a series of questions that predetermines your specialty but we change the subject." Not sure if you mean the players personal skill or implementing some sort of in game class system.if done correctly i think classes would be a great idea

Add them to your vehicles table with a loadout of choice example: class_name: TKBasicAmmunitionBox_EP1 limit min : 0 limit_max 1 inventory: [[["BAF_LRR_scoped","glock17_EP1","HandGrenade_west"],[1,2,4]],[["5Rnd_86x70_L115A1","17Rnd_9x19_glock17"],[10,5]],[[],[]]] Then use day.st's tool to create a "custom" vehicle spawn point for the classname TKBasicAmmunitionBox_EP1 in this example. Run the vehicle spawn script to get your new boxes. You can tweak the percentage chances for each spawn point in the world_vehicles table. As others have mentioned now though it's not ideal because the crates refill contents on server restart, they also need to be manually deleted to be removed and respawned. I'm going to probably going to attempt to pursue a solution using tents instead unless changing mission files gets easier on dayz.st.
  19. Hey guys, just curious to know if anyone has any info on vilayer private hives. Logged on to a couple of vilayer servers today to find inventories wiped. This issue was experienced by everyone I talked too. So does anyone know if there was a vilayer wipe scheduled Or are the hives simply down? I also noticed that vehicles and tents did save along with all the gear they contained. cheers.
  20. In stand alone, If you're going to have guns with Thermals and promote militarizing DayZ. You must give counter measures like Mortars, 'WW2' fighters, Armed vehicles to balance it out. (not Abrams and Av 8b) Other wise get rid of it.
  21. The only major problem I see with the huey in dayZ, it that it's the only vehicle (on the vanilla Chernarus game) that weapons (in this case mounted M240) can be fired from. And even then, that makes it a problem with the OTHER vehicles, NOT the helo. Crash sites can be fully taken advantage of, and that sucks. But it's still a "first come, first served" scenario. With regards to camps being found, I believe anything with camouflage should be tagged as such by the game, and only rendered properly within a certain range. It's really hard to represent the function of camo properly in CGI. I think this might serve to simulate it a bit better. EDIT: Don't bite my head of for suggesting it, it's just a thought.

    I like having helicopters in the game and don't agree they should be removed, I do agree there are some balance issues (specifically with being able to find camps/vehicles/crash sites too easily) but think these issues can be sorted out without removing or nerfing the helicopters. 1. Camo netting for vehicles. 2. Chopper Crash sites spawning randomly, not just on server restarts.
  23. BEFORE YOU SAY 0 POST RANDOM, DONT BE FOOLED. I HAVE BEEN AROUND SINCE THERE WERE ONLY 20 OR SO SERVERS. I HAVE JUST FOUND NO NEED TO POST ANYTHING TILL NOW. With the release of standalone coming up and the inevitable amount of people who are going to want servers for it I figured I would take the time to give my impressions and what not on the current hosts of Dayz and how I feel they will be when standalone comes out. First and most important let's get a list of all the current server hosts that are worth noting. Survival servers Vilayer HFBSERVERS Dayz.st Xelaservers Zaphosting Defcon servers And several other random short lived hosts Now let me give a little run down of each host in the order of oldest to newest. HFBSERVERS Hfbservers is currently the oldest dayz host out there. They have been around since the early days of dayz and in the beginning were known to have the best and cheapest servers out there. This was back in the days when there was only one type of servers and that was an official server connected to the dayz hive. No fancy private hives and no extra bells and whistles. They were at that time the largest host in NA for servers. They gave the customer the most flexibility for their servers in the way of full ftp to their servers when every other host was limiting ftp. That all then changed when the hosting rules changed which required all hosts to pull it. They currently have the domain www.dayzserverhosting.com Which I can only imagine will be an amazing domain to have once standalone is out which also shows how long they have been around lol. Now they are not without their issues, They had during a small period of time a decent amount of complaints about server issues. The root of the issues actually had happened to be as simple as battleye having a faulty build where with a setting enabled servers used a TON of IO causing them to lag like crazy. Even after turning that setting off and the servers returning to their perfect lag free selves the owner publically apologized to everyone for the issues and vowed to change everything about the company for the better. Since then complaints about hfb have been few and far between. I have also noticed that hfb has done something some people have said is impossible, they have a chernarus server running (with custom buildings) and over 1400 vehicles on it, With OUT lag and crashing issues. This I think is pretty damn impressive lol. Vilayer Vilayer has been around almost as long as Hfbservers. They started mainly hosting servers in EU and quickly became the largest server in EU for dayz. They also started with official dayz servers connected to the dayz hive, and like hfb were known for their great performance and reliability except instead of NA like Hfb they were EU. They then started to expand to NA during the small period of time when hfb was having the battleye issues, I can only imagine they were getting some of the clients that were leaving hfb not knowing the real cause of the issues. Then during the time when private hives began to become popular and more and more people wanted them vilayer was the first to make their own custom dayz map (takistan) which then sparked the creative minds of dayz as a whole which lead to many custom maps being made and well you can now see how popular non chernarus maps are lol. I also did notice that they had basically taken the entire survival servers web based control panel and built it into their tcadmin, which was the first host to do this all within one control panel. Complaints about Vilayer have also been pretty low with most complaining about long support times, not really too many server issue complaints. Defcon servers As much as the name defcon makes me cringe I do need to make a short post about them as at one point they did host a small number of dayz servers. This host by far has the biggest negative light cast on it as at one point one of their support reps told a customer that he would give the customers personal details to every known hacker out there and called him a little shit. This is the only company on this list I will say to avoid at all costs. Survival Servers Survival servers has not been around nearly as long as hfb or vilayer but they definitely have some time in dayz hosting. I personally have not followed survival servers too much till recently so I will try to do my best to explain them. They started out by being the cheapest host out there, beating hfb and vilayer in price by about $10/mo there servers ran pretty good and there were few complaints about them for awhile. They were one of the first hosts to do a web based control panel for managing private servers and were the first to offer database access to your servers for an extra cost at the time. So they in a sense were the first to really allow people to customize their servers how they liked when on a private server. They have now more recently received a LOT of negative reviews and customers posting on the forums stating how poor their support was. They seem to be attempting to flex their TOS muscles a little too much on people. But that is really what it is there for I guess. At the moment it seems that the vast majority of activity on the forums about them is negative so im not sure how they will get themselves out of this hole they are in. I also have noticed they are seeming to have a lot of issues with things like tcadmin which hfb and vilayer simply do not have. Dayz.st Dayz.st came to be a little after survival servers, they were the first host to not use tcadmin (pretty much what every other gsp uses) This non standard control panel has its benefits and has its issues. The benefits are the fact that they can add pretty much anything they want to it as it is pretty much not being held back by anything. This has allowed them to add things like push button spawning of vehicles and a map which allows you to spawn vehicles based on a map of your world with once again the push of a button. Now with it being a custom control panel coded by the owner of the company you have some issues that tcadmin simply does not have. Things like changing your map without losing your ip and port are an issue with dayz.st, but not with the hosts using the much more developed tcadmin. I am also a bit surprised by the fact that the users control panel details are in the URL of the control panel in plain text this is INCLUDING the users password, That does not seem very secure to me. Now a negative thing about the owner of the company I have noticed. The owner seems to talk down to other hosts and he seems to act like he is running very large multi million dollar companies as he called vilayer "microscopic" in comparison to things he has done, He then does not back up ANY of his claims and simply says he does not need to tell people his personal life. I had seen another user post this a little while back and found it a very valid point that is why I am pretty much copying what he or she said. I find this a very bad business practice as if you are in to talking bad about other hosts and then apparently lying about things you have done that does not go well in my head. With all that being said I do not see dayz.st doing very well when standalone comes out as one his control panel will not work with standalone as dayz is all going to be steam based including the server files apparently. And all those extra little tools that people switched to them about will be gone as standalone will NOT support it. So they will simply be just like all the other hosts Xela servers I know very little about them other then the fact that they have been around for a decent amount of time and have had no complaints, They have cheap servers and from personally joining one they appear to be lag free. I did notice that the owner did use his thread as a sort of twitter like new system but thats about all I have to say about them. Zap-hosting They are a VERY cheap german host, I have from friends heard pretty much nothing but issues about things like multiple servers being on the same port and simple settings not saving at all. I have not seen many complaints on dayzmod.com but they apparently do have a lot of complaints on german gaming websites. I also do not see them doing very well with standalone. And now here is where I talk about the other hosts that have come and gone. Host Altitude used to be a pretty decent size player in the dayz server hosting world. But they seem to have shutdown and been bought out by another EU host. I personally do not consider them a relevant host anymore as they are only hosting minecraft and websites now. Elipse host was also a decent player not too long ago, They had a lot of happy customers and seemed to be doing well. They pretty much appear to have vanished from the dayz hosting market and have gone back to minecraft and other source games. There are also some other random companies that have come and gone at the end of summer as they did not do well enough to stay around. None personally stand out too well in my head. Now onto who I personally feel should host servers day ONE of standalone release. I feel that the dev team should go with those who have been around the longest and built the trust of the dev team up. So that should be HFB and Vilayer. I say them because they were around before there were really any requirements for dayz hosting other then no passwording and locking of your servers, and banning for no reason. When the dev team started to enact rules, they followed them to the T and applied them to their servers almost instantly. Plus the owners of Vilayer and Hfbservers have shown that they are not asses to each other and have even worked together on things to better the community. This type of footing and history should be the same that leads the community into standalone during its early days. I think maybe after a few weeks to a month other hosts should then be allowed in as hfb and vilayer will have worked with the dev team to iron out server side issues and what not. I just do not want to see server hosting be ruined by other hosts trying to either mod dayz to run their broken or half working tools, or have them try to sway the idea of DayZ that rocket has just to try and sell more servers. I almost guarantee that dayz.st or survivalservers would either sell servers for far too cheap to get customers or they would try making another map or something to sell more servers which is something rocket has stated he DOES NOT WANT. And I mean heck the owner of dayz.st has said it himself that he has and will continue to oversell nodes as it is the nature of website and game server hosting, Which is something will NOT work when standalone comes out as 99% of the servers will most likely be filled to capacity. So if Rocket or Matt Lightfoot ends up reading this I would suggest you work with the oldest hosts first for getting servers up for standalone. Or at least acknowledge them as a recommended host or something as they have hosted servers for your mod and here soon game for SOO long, they have had to deal with bugs and issues that they simply could not fix and have most likely lost countless thousands of dollars from people who just do not understand something's are just a bug.
