TheLaughingMan's private hive has consistantly 35+ people, extremely low ping and the only thing it starts you with is a compass, map, watch, and an extra bandage and beans. no weapons. Only downside (if you don't like that kind of stuff) is it has quadruple the amount of vehicles.

Don't waste your time on Public Hives. If you do, live out of your pack (no tents, vehicles, etc.) and abort as soon as you hear the word "hacker" on side chat. Find good weapons and ammo in barracks / heli crashes. I don't even mess around with weapons in towns any more. Always keep at least 1 morphine auto-injector on you at all times. Always keep at least 2 bandages on you at all times. play on the Balota Buddies private hives. Too many benefits to list. Easily the most expansive private community among American/Australian/UK servers. Click on my sig and go to the whitelist section. The whitelisting process is intensive in order to keep hackers out.

Forming a Private Hive Trading Post with a Custom Base

This group is for those that are looking to give DayZ a little more structure. For some time I have wanted to secure a location where players can trade items as safely as possible. Recently, I have come across a server that provides what we need to get this going because of the custom base building features added by the server owner. I don't want to place many restrictions on how you play your game. You can play the bandit all that you want, just not around the trading post because people need to be able to trust that they aren't going to be killed by us for no reason. I would prefer to keep the group 18+ but this is not a strict requirement. Server Features - Namalsk Server with Blowouts & Bloodsuckers - 24/7 Daylight - 300+ Vehicles - Ability to Harvest Vehicle Parts / Siphon Fuel - Custom Base Building Features with Keypad operated gates (Not DayZ+) Trading Post Operation The Trading Post will be surrounded by walls so that it can only be entered by gate or helicopter. A tent will be placed going through the wall so that it can be accessed by people inside and outside of the base. The inside of the base will be complete with watchtowers that overlook the trading area and we will build campfires inside of the base to signal to customers that the trading post is in operation. Once there is an agreement on what is being traded, the customer places the items they are trading into the tent, we then take the item out of the tent and replace it with the item being requested. Group Objectives We've already started on some of the groundwork needed for this project, but we're still pretty early in the process and need to get a few things set up before we're fully opperational. Here is a list of our current objectives. - Complete Construction of Trading Area - Collect all Vehicles of a specific type for group use only (SUV?) - Gather a surplus of supplies for trade - Repair additional vehicles for trade - Come up with a group name - Create a Steam Group or some other forum for internal group discussion Group Rules - No attacking players within the proximity of the trading post unless they are hostile or refuse to identify themselves - No targeting players that are entering/leaving the trading area - No stealing from the trading post or camps of groups that are not hostile toward us. The server is dedicated to the BBSC mod game Dayz, itself based on the game Arma II and Arma II Operation Arrowhead. It was created on 15.11.2012 by several friends as part of a team named BBSC (Security Corp. Blackbird). This server is neither nor withelisté Role Play, so it is available to all and there is a good atmosphere between teams. Been on for a couple of days now. Nice server lots of vehicles. Had the best start with a new spawn here, within an hour had a sniper rifle ak-47 alife pack all survival tools and a white pick up! Only thing is I work nights and get in at 2 in the morning when its dark so tend to do on constant daylight servers. If I get an hour in the day play on here. Lookong forward to the weekend to see whats going off. Would be good too if the server coild maybe have a week of constant day and a week of day/night cycle. Good sever keep up the good work. -

Whoever hacked the server just doubled all the vehicles there are, I guess it shouldnt be a big problem deleting those doubled ones. But dont delete my Mi17, delete the damaged one still up on Devils castle :D -

Matters to people who play on your server and have tents and vehicles lol... The only reason I admin a server is PA1 got shut down despite my buddies begging them to keep it up. I don't even have a computer that will run the SA (I don't think at least) so I'm not overly interested in it, and for reasons stated above on both sides... 1. As far as players leaving the mod for the pvp fps of the SA... I'm not sure that is the case for the SA, but if it is THANK FUCKING GOD!!!!!! Mod will become the most amazing game ever if all the dumb noobs who just want to run and gun aren't there... I HATE most simulation games this game is AWESOME, if the SA turn in anyway what so ever away from the realism of the mod then I will 100pct not be on board for personal play at least. 2. I have WAYYYY too much invested, I've got 2 keys for OA2 BAF,PMC, 2 servers, lol 3. Diversity of maps and private/public.... at my prime of playing prior to making admin duties take up most of my time, I had 20-30 active characters on different maps and servers... knew where they all where what they had etc etc... with the key switching I had multiple characters on the same private hive so if one got killed I could help him along with the other character... it was pure magic lol. I have friends who STILL talk about Operation Flashpoint... so chances are my crew will be playing the mod for quite some time lol. Keep the replies coming... -

first i would like to say thax you are the only one that has showed me ho to use php can you give me a list of vehicles i can spawn with this method i want a hummve and a knighthawk i dont have any other mods other than dayz please help -
That's somehow an in game limitation for vehicles. I opened the pbos some time ago and changed the speed settings, there are even "gear ratios" which only change the sound, so there is no real transmission. Changing the speed didn't do anything. Somehow 120-130 kph is the limit for ground vehicles considering they are already hard to control. Some managed to make vehicles faster but i think it's a script. We've managed to get a vehicle to 300kph by using a booster script but it's more a ride on a cannon ball than driving because the steering won't work and you would be only skidding around taking damage from "colliding" with the ground.

hello i was wondering about vehicle spawns on my taviana server currently when i run the spawn vehicles script not All the vehicles will spawn on the map i have vehicle limit set to 900 just in case could that be a issue? also i was wondering how I can change all the current spawns on the map to Fully repaired also is there a way to make vehicles spawn every reset ive noticed if the vehicle spawn is still in it wont spawn another one is there a way around this ?

Could anyone give me some info on the way vehicles exist in the server? What I mean is, if you're in a vehicle, can you logout whilst in one? Would this then make the vehicle dissapear also so no one else would be able to get it until you log back in? If you park them somewhere, do they stay there permanently unless you get back in and drive them somewhere else, or does a server reset put them back in the initial spawn area? Any answers much appreciated (I haven't come accross any vehicles yet, other than a bicycle which couldn't even go up a very small slope for some reason) Also, on a different topic, can you form groups in the server so you can use group chat? I know some people are in the police etc but are they actually a group, or do they just find each other and go around together? Thanks -
I need some help, i am trying to spawn more vehicles on restarts on my private hive but can't seem to figure it out. What i want to do is increase the umber of helis the spawn but i am having no luck, also i can't find any tuts or anything because i do a search and all i find is info on hacks..... Any help will be appreciated.

Ok, just get the application called "CPBO" Bookmark this page : https://community.bi.../wiki/Main_Page Open up your game and go to the multiplayer screen, find the button called "NEW", this will openup the first screen of the "MULTIPLAYER" editor. Place some objects on the map and save the mission, now go to your "mydocuments\ArmaII\Yourname\MPMIssions folder(might be little different path, but you know what i mean) Find your newly created mission there and start looking into these script files inside the mission folder, specially the "mission.sqm" file, just open with notepad. From here you will learn the object class names and object names used ingame, also when for example you want to add more spawnpoints for a vehicles you can get coordinate and other info about particular objects. What i'm trying to say is that if you really want to do all you are asking, you really need to know how the structure of this engine is working. Just adding a new spawnpoint to the database will have nothing to do with anything of arma, you need to know how to manipulate databases, but if you want to change fundamental logic of the DayZ code you will have to extract the original files and edit them as how you like it to be, then you have to repack these files and update your server AND CLIENTS with the new updated files, in this case you really need to know how Arma engine works and what file extensions are used where and when. I always will promote the courage to start figuring out how things work and i will always try to help people trying to edit or create addons for this amazing OFP/ARMA engine. But be prepared to start looking yourself for solutions, BIS will give you all the Tools, but you have to figure out yourself how to use them. The official VBS clients of BIS pay thousands of dollars for there professional Combat simulator tools and applications, they are not able to just give away these tools to the community for free and without hassle. I used to do it that way, but then I found out using E is the same thing as "Shift+W". But some vehicles tend to go faster when you're holding Shift+W instead of E. But none of the vehicles in DayZ uses that.. I think.

What stages of StandAlone would you set the Outbreak in?

Now I'm not sure if this has been ever discussed, but I'm genuinely interested in what kind of setting people mostly like? Initial outbreak : The initial outbreak is obviously within the first week or so where it has become out of control. To me, this means: - Supplies would be plentiful (Loads of household weapons, food, clothing, etc) - Environments (buildings, etc) will be relatively clean and in their normal structure - Electricity still running in some areas, trains still operational etc. - Avatars still dressed and looking Normal - Military Presence is high (i.e military blockades, military camps set up in large areas, helicopters flying over, dropping off supplies, etc) - Zombies look fresh - Vehicles are plentiful - Fresh bodies everywhere - If possible, NPC's inside barricaded houses telling you to go away, or seeing them getting ravaged to death Early Months: The early months of an outbreak would still have a hopeful looking setting, despite being out of control. Think season 1/2 of the walking dead and the walking dead game: - Supplies made less available, but things such a civilian clothing and household weapons are still plentiful - Environments starting to look more run down with broken windows, crashed cars, etc. However, a lot of remote areas still looking fairly untouched, like farms, small towns etc. - Electricity very rarely works, and if it does, only in random areas and flickering. - Avatars still dressed in normal civilian clothes, but looking a little haggard. - Military Presence is low (i.e overrun military blockades with dead army corpses, military camps have less supplies, less helicopters flying over, less supply drops, etc) - Still a lot of fresh zombies, but a few rotten ones shambling around - Fair amount of vehicles, but with parts taken out A year or so after outbreak: This is a year+ after the initial outbreak, and the hopeful setting is almost gone. Think season 3 of the walking dead, or the 2 episodes of the walking dead game: - Supplies are far less available. Difficult to find new clothing, weapons, food, etc. - Environments are close to run down, loads of houses boarded up, rubble everywhere etc. Very few remote places look untouched. - Electricity is completely gone - Avatars are dressed in civilian gear, but extremely haggard looking (i.e torn clothes, etc). - Military Presence rare. Dilapidated military blockades, military camps are overrun with little to no supplies, barely any helicopters flying around, no supply drops - Less fresh zombies, mainly rotten ones - Less vehicles with most parts gone Years after outbreak, the world has collapsed: This is after all hope has gone and the world is now overrun. This is 'The Road' sort of setting: - Supplies are extremely rare - Environments are completely run down, buildings falling apart, no where looks 'nice and safe'. Very bleak and depressing. - Electricity is completely gone - Avatars are dressed in makeshift clothes, very homeless looking - No military presence. Everything where the military use to be is picked clean. - Mainly rotten zombies - Extremely rare vehicles with parts taken out, and made rare to find. Personally my favourite setting is 'A year or so after the outbreak'. Everything looks overrun bar a few areas, military presence is still there but made rare, people dressed normally but war-torn looking. I like the road kind of setting, but I still prefer the game to look like everything still could be inhabitable. -

Hello guys, This morning, January, 11th 2013 @ 8:50AM (GMT+1, Paris clock), I spotted the obvious godmode hack of the player Drizzt. I shot him 3 times point blank with as50, he didn't even bleed. It happened on the server "DayZTaviana - 2.0 - (Regular|3D:ON|CH:ON) - La Cantina | 400 Vehicles | Daytime" - 64.31.39.122:2322 At this moment i'm uploading the video proof of this. -
Hello everyone, I know that most trading is done on public servers, but I play on the set of servers: Dallas dayz madness, you might know it from it's absurd amount of vehicles. What I am wondering is if anyone plays on these servers and is willIng to trade stuff on it, I know alot of people screw around on this server, so, if anyone on this forum plays on the Dallas dayz madness server, and trades or is willing to trade, I'd like to know, because often times I find something I don't want (as50 for example) but if I try to trade, I'll either get sniped, or smashed by a ural. :P

You are correct it is a scripter and each of those can be identified. But have you ever seen them combined in such a way? Also perhaps the OP could not identify all of the vehicles thus making his title correct.

I have been banned last night at 1:09am. It said the reason for the ban was something about anti hacks. I have not used hacks, but if i'm honest, there were hackers giving out stuff and I may have taking some, I understand that it is wrong to take weapons from a hacker, though I did not realise at the time, he asked if i wanted his spare DMR, so I said yea, eventually he kept saying he found vehicles, I did kind of figure out he was a hacker when nearly all the vehicles where full on everything. I am asking to see if there is any possibility that I may be unbanned. Character Name: Lt.Jones -
Are you saying that if Radios were placed in the Game they would be findable items like in buildings or would they be more like a part for vehicles and in some vehicles the radio is missing because that would be a great concept.

I want to dislike this idea, but I can't :/ I think it's because part of me doesn't want it to be easier to hide vehicles.
