  1. Regarding vehicles and anti-material rifles, although in reality their purpose is just that... In this game however i find there is no tactics required in order to take out a vehicle. Instead having the AS50 with Nato rounds means that without even thinking of cover etc, jsut shoot the front of it "once" and within seconds i have just dusted an entire squad and the vehicle...

    we don't bother with whitelist yet, We don't mind having Bandits around so long as you don't combat log, you will be banned if you do. On the vilayer hive. vehicles usually in the 80's (search for trickery.net in DayZ commander)

[based in UK] We host a number of established DayZ and Arma servers (it varies) on dedicated hardware, with robust anti-cheat protection and active ingame admins. We have a name and shame policy on banned scripters. We are also proud to host a new LIVE STATS page: http://iogc.co.uk/stats/namalsk/ especially for your E-peen (If you die your stats get wiped). We have our own TS server, website and active forums at www.iogc.co.uk. We play a variety of different games, and we have hosted games that members suggest. Many members play Arma though, so we attack DayZ with a vengeance (well some of the time). KOS if you like (You have to on Namalsk). We'd be happy to have you onboard if you like the look of us - we're always looking for non-idiot new members. No shitty hierarchy or egos here, or jumping through hoops to get noticed. Our members age from 18ish up to 60. We like to have a laugh and everybody's opinion counts. We're currently playing on DayZ Namalsk: It's by far the most difficult map for DayZ, and It's a hardcore server, so no crosshairs, tags or 3rd person. Always action on this one - Americans, Europeans and Russians. EVR and Stalkers are active. If you've any issues like lost gear, suspected scripters etc, then posting on our forums will get a quick response. Standard loadout/vehicles etc with a few tweaks (Railgun is in, but extremely rare). We are currently getting 20-30 players consistently in the evenings UK time. Check out our server by filtering IOGC in DayZ Commander, or use 188.138.122.37:2303. We've a fair few burnt out DayZ vets who've stopped playing the mod, but are itching to get into the Standalone: A small army is pretty much guaranteed when we host the release on our own server whenever that is..... :). For the time being it's Namalsk though.

Hey guys i want to present you our private hive server: IP: 85.131.238.146:2302 PW: on the HP -> www.aimforfame.enjin.com We have about 400 Vehicles and 12 Choppers on the server and the most common weapons of arma2 like PKP and AK PSO etc. (only at helicrashsides) We also designes a new city which is at the area of novylug (beneath krasnostav) with many residential, millitary and industrial spawn points (called LootCity). There are several admins which are very active against hackers and in our forum we try to solve every problem of the community members!   5. Hi Narnn, Thanks for your interest! Here is an explanation of the situation and afterwards I will give some options that could interest you? Overall Sitrep 1. There are two fairly serious paramilitary factions on the Islands. One holds the small island locked down, the other holds the northern part of the large island fairly securely. Recently some of those "caught in the middle" felt they did not have enough access to gear because the two major teams are too organized. So, admins took some steps to alleviate that by custom spawning in vehicles in areas that were likely to be found by the independents. Well, there are always unintended consequences....a major team found them first. However, we will keep trying to increase the availability of things for independents to keep it balanced. On the other hand, independents do have other advantages...for example, the two majors have agreed not to attack each others main bases. However, independents are welcome to. If independents have a very lean and mean playstyle, act like partisans, capture major team base gear and wreak havoc with it and on it then its possible you will do very well. If two or three guys expect they can operate safely without guards when scavenging and what not then they would be wrong. For example, we have two German players who are a team who have not died in days, they know the map and know how to move around the major forces, sometimes killing us off when the opportunity prevails other times not. -The majors make a point of not killing bambi's and we hunt bambi killers. -You are welcome to join a faction but the main language is English unfortunately. -There is great opportunity for a well disciplined team to hunt the majors as any time 5 or 6 players are together at least 1 will get sloppy. Overall, we highly welcome you to our server, but it won't be easy...then again it won't be any harder than any other server that peaks out at 30 or 35 people on the weekends. Every week our server pop just keeps on growing so its only going to get harder. For an example of some memorable moments. One major group deployed some listening posts around helicopter crash sites and helo spawn sites. 1 of their snipers sat waiting in a location for 5 hours. Eventually a chopper came by and it was shot down and in turn a few of the helo crew. 8 of one team found 3 of another on their island and conducted a very orchestrated search and clear over half the island to pinpoint them and wipe them out. An independent stold a C130 and then spent 30 minutes trying to ram a helicopter ending up in the c130 crashing into the bridge. We have had motorcycle gang, sniper, bambi butcher, and other events where custom weapons are spawned in and its told to the server all at the same time to give everyone a fair shot. Admins are not allowed to use these weapons unless they kill someone for them...therefore, for admins its in their interest to see the weapons end up in the other teams hands. Tonight we are having a escort the VIP mission. So, we are active, well managed, and have only had 1 hacker in two weeks of uptime and they were booted before causing any harm!

    DayZ: Namalsk

    Unfortunately not, most of them requires animation work, which is quite time consuming when you don't have any mocap studio available. I will be upgrading DayZ Namalsk sometimes soon to 1.7.5, so we will see :) I don't have currently any plans with unbanning a2/oa vehicles for DayZ Namalsk for now (it requires some config work to evade those banned records in DayZMod). But if DayZMod gets some stuff unbanned, you will be able to use it on Namalsk too (not sure, if they are planning to unban uh-1y for example).

    Bicycles are best vehicle in game (but they cant store anything). If you have a group of people vehicles are very usefull, but are noisy and an easy target for someone to take pot shots at. I find the best way to avoid your position being given away while you have a vehicle is to hide it around 300 meters away from the area you plan to loot then move in by foot. Or another thing that I find is also effective is simply stepping on the gas and zooming through town! Chances are if there is a player there you will suprise him/her and they will take several rapid and inaccurate shots at your vehicle (most probably will miss) thereby giving away their position and telling you what weapon they are using. I have hidden cars for weeks on end without anyone finding them but those days are long gone now (back in the days without skiddies and glitchy private hives that reset every 3 hours).
  12. For anyone looking to establish themselves on a new server this is the one for you - very active, meaning hackers are dealt with quickly. Bonus spawns that change each week, custom vehicles, loot and buildings (but still keeping the balance of the original DayZ).
  13. The SS is recruiting experienced or exceptional players to join our ranks. We are an active squad of elite soldiers that can handle any situation calmly and effectively. We are a respectable squad. We do not loot, pillage, or kill survivors/heroes on sight. Bandits will be asked to turn the lower their weapon, turn the other direction, drop their weapon on the ground, lay down, and roll to the side away from their weapon. Instructions will be given to new players, and if all of these steps are not acceptably complied with, we will open fire. We will only kill hostiles, trespassers, intruders, infiltrators, and bandits. Unresponsive players are also an exception. Unknown or unidentified soldiers must lower their weapons before approach or they will be shot. When firing at survivors or unresponsive soldiers, we will always attempt to knock out our target. If that succeeds, a medic will tend to the soldier and retrieve them in an air vehicle (to avoid escape from vehicle without lethal consequences). The killing of unarmed survivors will lead to removal from the squad and elimination of killer(s). We often set up a trading post for non-clanmembers in any server we are currently stationed in.     It depends on what kind of server you play on. If you play on a high spawn server with 50+ cars on it, chances are most of the players are going to be wheeled, and you will meet on equal terms if you randomly meet someone else. If you play on a normal spawn server (eg. official hive spawn rate), vehicles are best used at nighttime, and in conjunction with NVG,s. Driving a car at speed, with the lights off will most likely leave anyone wanting to shoot you out of range to fast. On both servers if you plan on doing anything more than drive straight trough a town, park the car a little away, scout the town, then drive in and get the loot. In real life cars are awesome and saves me walking every morning.

    I've always seen bikes as the best choice, but oddly enough with all the vehicles I've found I've only ever found a bike once on Taviana and it was damaged and went like 2MPH.

    Vehicles are a disposable luxury, viewed as anything more, they're a liability. Useful if you're rolling as part of an organized group. With the present graphics engine though, they're almost impossible to hide (trees become 2D at long range, anything hidden behind the tree therefore becomes visible to a long-range observer), particularly from helos. Risk versus reward though- with a vehicle, you can cover large distance, with much better chance of finding a helo crash. As ever though, keep all you care about in your inventory and backpack- including enough food and water to ditch everything and run for it. AC

    Third person vs First person view

    I do think 1st person would be good to be enforced for vehicles. That I wouldn't mind- anyone else?
  19. Right now server has 2 choppers spawning per week and 45 vehicles, as the pop goes up we'll keep raising the number of vehicles. Right now we only get about 8 or so regulars coming on, we'd like to see alot more :)

    Outlines Gaming DayZ+ Private Hive

    Been playing on your server for the last 2 weeks but it seems new vehicles aren't spawning, also downed choppers (we have driven all around the map). Bit of a problem because I love flying choppers haha
  21. Hey guys. We are a pretty new server looking for some loyal members to fill up our DayZ+ private hive. We are working on creating a community around the server and plan on migrating over to standalone when it comes out. Currently we are working on a website, community events and having custom loadouts and giveaways. If we end up getting popular enough whitelisting will also be in our future. We have over 130 vehicles on the server, this includes 4 helis. Planning on adding custom buildings Hopefully I'm not missing anything, hope to see you on our server.

    SA DayZ: No Modifications? [POLL]

    Why should it be locked down just because it's "becoming a game" though? Do you want the game to be equal across the globe? That can (and is) already happening. You have the official DayZ servers and you have the private hives. The official servers are almost helpless to the many varieties of cheaters out there. The private hives can have whitelists which filters out most cheaters because they are only after a quick rampage on a server they can easily access. Then, private hives will cater to the many kinds of players that exist out there. Some like low vehicle count servers, having a vehicle becomes so much more special to them and those that don't have a vehicle will hunt those that have or leave the server because they are fed up with walking. And there are those servers that have plenty of vehicles, some to the point of absurdity, which ensures nobody will have to walk from point A to point B very often. There are servers that reduce the amount of zombies to save on performance for both the server and the clients. There are servers that have limited view distance so players with low end PC's can compete too. While all of this can be turned into settings server side you will quickly find that there are several orders of magnitude more that the players may or may not want to have in the game. If it wasn't for the open nature of DayZ we wouldn't have Namalsk and all the other maps as alternatives thus far. We wouldn't have a few of the features that are part of DayZ today without customization. On that note and relevant to this topic. Battlefield 1942 was mod-able. It spawned the Desert Combat mod and without that mod, Battlefield 2 would not have become the success it was, we might not have seen any more battlefield games at all. Interest in that type of game might not have been as high and ArmA 2 might not have become what it is today. Lack of interest in the title may have kept Rocket from making DayZ and we wouldn't be sitting here talking about this to begin with... Mods are a very important part of a title, especially one that is independent and doesn't have a huge flock of blind sheep that will line up at the store as long as the title contains anything like "Call of Duty" or "Battlefield" or has a Blizzard logo on it etc etc. All of these games thrived on the success of mods made for them, then they turned their backs on the core community and started releasing "just another game". Mark my words... One day these kind of titles will be doomed to failure and their developers will have no idea why. But titles like Minecraft, ArmA 3 and others like it... Games that allow modifications and customization from the community will thrive as more and more gamers want THEIR game and not something some ill informed game designer decides to make. Not saying Dean "Rocket" Hall is ill informed but eventually, he too will fall prey to making bad decisions whose counter complaints drown in the day to day rambles of the community. A decision that will destroy the title in the long run.
  24. Checkout BLACKOUT DAYZ+ server.. Friendly active admins. And quite afew awesome features like auto refueling/heli lift ect.. 150+ vehicles on the server aswell.
