  1. New server IP: 74.91.18.202:2402 Server updates: Dogs added, commands available: Sit, Follow, Find animal. Mapping all over chernarus. Lighting at night time (brightness and chance of light changed), 35% chance to turn on, 65% chance of flickering off. Full moons at night. Helis (mi17 and huey) can now tow vehicles under them using a cord. Debug Monitor. Auto refuel script added, you need to be 10 meters from a petrol station and it refills slower. Fixed 3 door bug. You can now sit on the back of vehicles and on the front of others.     Well, not too many people play Fallujah sadly I would love to go on there and have some fun like back when it was a fresh release. Anyways, you can find most of the air vehicles at the Airfield and depending on the server there may be some scattered around the map.

  4. BLACKOUT Hey guys, If you are looking for a cool DAYZ+ server with quite afew cool feature's you have come to the right thread! BLACKOUT Server Features List: 50 Slot Server 24/7 Daylight Very Active & Friendly Admins ( 4 in total ) ( Very levelheaded admins, No admin abuse whatsoever ) As the admins are so active we catch cheater's almost instantly, In the event a hacker teleport's everyone..ect we do rollbacks so you never lose your progress/gear. Auto-Refueling Script at Gas Station's Heli Lifting Script ( Certain heli's can air lift certain vehicles. ) Custom BLACKOUT Debug Monitor! Starting Gear! ( You start with a G17 and 6 clips, You also get a backpack full of med's & food to get you going. ) We have our own TeamSpeak server for our player's to join. We also have a second instance server running Namalsk, If you ever feel like a change :P There's probably other feature's that I'm forgetting to mention right now so come checkout the server for yourself...   5. A group of us got together to start a server due to the abuse of admin powers and tent duping. Our server is fresh only a few dayz old with custom vehicles and helis around the map. We have included scripts which enable vehicle part salvage, autorefuel, and a custom Ai military spawn. These Ai patrol the map with rare loot in their gear. Have tofind them to get it. Heli crashes and loot tables have also been tweaked. So join us to help us improve our server. We have multiple admins who are friendly and readily take suggestions about the direction of the server.   7. hi guys ive just started to rent a dayz.st server, for some reason the main writing/info/name of servers you see on lets say "dayz commander" is still in grey writing and not lit up and white like a running server. why is this? as it is playable still. also i changed the map from taviana to takistan (only breifly as its now ruined by airport spawn) then back to taviana, and noticed there is less vehicles and they're also spawnin out in the sea :\ im not used to or confident with editing the database yet but wanted to know if there is an easy way to sort this and also add more vehicles as i am new to renting a server. thanks alot, matt :)
  8. Hey guys i play on the server - Dayzed and confused - There's over 75+ vehicles. ALMOST everyone is friendly and will take you in to there group. The Admins are very active and great guys. You start off with very good gear so for the new comers its easier for you to survive. All in all its a great server so come on in tonight and join on in the fun of DAYZ !     More dumb questions

    Let me clear this up: 1. You need to open the backpack by clicking it in gear, and selecting to open it, Then you can put stuff in. The 12 slots are your inventory. 2. Yes, use the method above. A primary is 10 slots, a secondary is 5 3. a. Anywhere you want, but I'd recommend some safe place in a forest. b. it's open to anyone, but only you can pack it on your current life c. yes! d. yes, but be sure to empty it first e. Vehicles can't be put in tents4. You must find a GPS first. It's rare military loot. 5.It should stay, but it might glitch and break, or just respawn. It should be there for seven days if you don't touch it. Be sure to hide it so other players don't steal it! Your tents and vehicles are only found on the server you had them on.
  10. Simply looking for a new place to call home, sick and tired on joining servers only to see 1000+ vehicles weapons no night time and getting given half your gear as you start the game. I am looking for something that has a player base 24/7 and is without all the bells and whistles. Sick to death of the CoD servers that serve no purpose other than to join and maybe practice flying. Also don't want any servers that give you your location on the map and showing placement of other survivors or any of that crap. Also one without crosshairs would be a bonus as well.

  13. We’ve gone for a reasonably quick and dirty video blog this week, mainly because things have been very busy for us. Inventory System One of the biggest improvement areas has been the inventory system, now almost ready for a public display. This new inventory system supports crafting, interchangeable clothing, degradation, tracking, weapon customization, and much more. It’s really a revolutionary system for us and we’re extremely proud of the results that Jirka (our programmer assigned to this) has achieved. Crafting Not touched on in the video, but what we will be showing soon is the basics of how users can interact with items in the world - this is the next step in development of our inventory system beyond where it is now. This is not a traditional crafting system, but one that encourages layers to explore the ways in which items can be crafted. Zombie pathfinding In the video, towards the end, some before and after footage of work on the zombie AI pathfinding. Not only has this changed the role, threat, and speed of the zombies - but it has also yielded performance improvements. The increased accuracy of the zombies movement allows their movement to be slowed down to more sensible values, in line with those of the players themselves. We still have some other avenues to explore in this regard, but we’re very pleased with the results so far. Mass zombie spawning server side Now all zombies are spawned directly on the server and their movement is governed directly on the server itself. This has allowed us to provide increased security and hack prevention mechanisms by disabling functionality at the client level. It also means that zombies no longer “pop” in and out of the world, previously used as a mechanism to tell if someone was in the area. It also paves the way for us to allow migrating zombies and zombies traversing open areas in search for their next meal. We still have some way to go in performance, the initial tests of 4000 zombies spawned reduced the server FPS to 4. After performance optimizations this increased up to 21. We’re now confident we can have the server FPS back up to 30+ with maximum numbers of zombies in the near future. Expanding health system Health is extending far beyond just blood, into a system that incorporates health, blood, and consciousness level. How these are all interrelating will be touched on in its own devblog in future. Some of the exciting developments coming include longterm play effects such as poor diet affecting your long term health levels. All this translates into the importance of a longterm plan for survival of your character, and we’re sure the role of medical specialists will become very important - hopefully emphasizing social interaction opportunities. Chernarus Expansion This continues at a huge pace. The two new villages in expand Cherno and provide it a true city feeling. Also expanding is the top (north) map area and the continued development of our large-scale features being added to the map. More to follow on this! (we can’t wait to show some more of this!) Loot spawning Finding loot now involves scavenging inside of vehicles, looking for items stuck between furniture, prying open car boots, or strewn in the wasteland itself. Consuming your bounty now results in rubbish, such as empty cans after consuming your beans. This is no mere gimick, because your trash can be used to track you. Conclusion There is a great deal more that can be covered, but we’re really deeply in the thick of development at the moment and we just wanted to get something quick and dirty to all those waiting for standalone. We know that you want it released, and we know you want to know when this will be - but we’re 100% committed to making this a great game, and that means we are making sure to do things properly.   14. shutting down and moved back to server 1. Server 1 capped at 60 players to stop the previous lag. Server 2 is still up so you can move stuff over from any tents/vehicles, (same character data). Sorry for the hassle!

  17. hi, We're hosting a DayZ public server and we had a guy there who joined our TS3. We know exactly that he cheated - he also told us... At first he spawned ammo boxes, vehicles and some other stuff - then he kicked all 36 players from our server. And in the end he destroyed a load of buildings. I'm sorry that we have no videos or screenshots of it, but it wouldn't help that much. Our Server: DE 870 ... (I understand why it is disabled, but it's really a problem) Why the fuck isn't it even possible to ban such kiddies only on our server?

    Why make instanced or underground bases?

    I never got around to discussing the technical implementation side of this, but this guy beat me to it: http://dayzmod.com/f...ggestion-bases/ Essentially what this would mean is that the buildings that could be altered would have to be made into objects, similar to how the guns and vehicles will be in the standalone.     An easy way to build bases

    I do not want to use fuctioning vehicles ...I want to add a push script (used in Iron front 44 which is based on ARMA2) so that these vehicles or gates can be pushed forwards and backwards...that's it but yeah you know what I mean :)
  21. Just a thought. If the MAJOR influence on whether certain forms of construction are practical is the load on the servers, why not hande barricades and construction materials the way vehicles are handled? Roll with me a minute. I'm just letting things pop into my head. If there are a finite number of barricades/structures (wire, pallettes, sandbags etc.) already set-up somewhere on the map, players could find them, take them, and use them to build bases without really adding any new data to the server. It would just be shuffling things around. It would make the end-game require a LOT more organization than we've seen so far. Players would need tools to remove/place structural items and would only be able to move these items one at a time. The one item you carry could possibly take up your whole inventory, or a meta-inventory,so you can't operate normally while building. Vehicles should be NECESSARY to move structural items across the map. Making the road to end-game a slow build-up, as opposed to blah, blah, blah, END. As I say, that's just a few thoughts on the subject. You can form the lynch-mob now.

I've been looking for helicopters for a while, and they don't seem to be on the spots where it shows on the map. I play on unpopulated servers ( 0 players online ) What do you use and how accurate is the one I'm using?

    Preferred Maps?

    I prefer Taviana and would say its a bti better for newbies too simply because Theres more points of interest , more enter-able buildings and more loot. Also the roads are clear (for vehicles), theres a good few loot spawns in every town/city, theres closer cities/towsn so u rarely have to run forever in the wildenress and the whole map is actually bigger.Also theres more content in the actual map Our server is actually geared towards survival play (although we dont stop people playing PvP), but the map is so big and our regulars are at a low enough level that it's easy to sneak around undetected and survive.   24. There has been a lot of applications for the Whitelist since it was turned on, we are still looking for active players of all types to mix things up a bit! The server is running Chernarus, more vehicles have been added, but not to an excessive amount. The server is based in the UK and has a ping limit of 150.   25. Just wondering what sort of things in the standalone or further versions of the mod do you not want to be turned "realistic" or "harder?" For me, I would prefer them NOT to go over the top on endurance. Don't get me wrong. I would very much like to see a slightly more realistic ability in terms of how much you can carry and how it slows you down. But i think it should effect the sprint aspect much more than the jog/run aspect. At this point and time it just takes forever to get somewhere, even with the ability to run forever, so changing this would not be a good idea until more buildings get opened and finding or repairing vehicles becomes slightly more intuitive and less buggy. However, in contrast i'd very much like food and water to be made more realistic so that i don't have to drink or eat every ten minutes. Also, i'd love it if weapons were kept extremely realistic regarding ammo types, effectiveness, ranges, sounds, etc. So, any thoughts?
