  1. We have a great server that is locked down, at the time it is not white listed but it is locked and you must register for the password on our forums at http://forums.sernix.net/ Our server has custom base building with password protected gates that only the owner of that wall knows. 300+ Vehicles on the map; you can harvest parts and siphon fuel. We have a smelting script that makes those useless cans now useful to smelt building supplies. We are ever expanding out building mod and always striving to make a better server. We have several outstanding Admins on the server keeping the server clean of hackers as well as we can. A few images http://imgur.com/a/hduk5
  2. Standard spawn chances for weapons other than the newly added weapons. Vehicles soawns are standard apart from 2 new vehicle spawns and a new PBX spawn in kamenka and a new blue open v3s spawn in a secret place :) this v3s spawns with a lot of gear btw and is designed to give some lucky bambi's a head start :) More vehicle spawns will be added next week.

    SA DayZ: No Modifications? [POLL]

One of the most common misconceptions in gaming development is that locking down mod-ability or not going open source is somehow going to stop cheaters, exploiters, hackers etc from breaking into the game. In fact, lack of customizing and insight into the source is detrimental to the anti hack efforts. Please understand how game/engine development works and how hackers break the measures taken to inject their cheats into a game. Any game. I will try to explain it in as much "layman terms" as possible so everybody can understand. Let's start off with an example, something that most people should have faced at one point or another. Imagine you are a kid around 7-10 years old, your brother gets one of those plastic safes to keep his loose change in. You would love to have that change, you wouldn't steal it but you want to at the very least hold it in your hand. So your brother is out of the house, maybe he is at summer camp or somewhere else. He isn't coming home in a few days at least. It's one of these: You already know that you need to turn the wheel one way and then another. So you start messing around with it, you turn it clockwise a few times and you turn it counter clockwise a few times and try to open it. It stays locked but you keep on trying and trying. Eventually you get frustrated with not being able to open it so you take a table knife and stick in into the side of the door to try and pry it open. That doesn't work and you are afraid you might break it or leave marks that your brother will see. But you notice as you turn the wheel with the door slightly opened that the wheel is scratching against something as you turn it. And you learn that by simply pulling on the wheel as you turn it you get the same result. Intrigued you pull on the wheel and turn it around until *clunk*, the door opens part way! You now turn the wheel some more until the door opens completely and you can now pick and choose among the stuff inside the "safe". You look at your brothers money, you leave it be because you know he will find out if you take it. But you also find small clippings from photos, lots of girls from his school that he likes. A few half finished love letters etc etc. That is how hackers operate, they poke and prod until they get to what they want. Except this is not a kids game, this is not a kids safe. But the underlying reason for doing it is the same none the less! They do it because it intrigues them. So, continuing the story then. You are proud to have broken into your brothers safe, you now know his secrets and know you can take his money whenever you want. Should he wrong you in any way you know you can retaliate by stealing his saved up pennies. Then, one day you and your brother are spending time together in his room playing with whatever toys you have. You have a great time together and you have this idea to build a puzzle box... Example of what a puzzle box is: As you can probably figure out, this would be a dream for a reverse engineer such as yourself (you, the 7-10 yo kid) to break into. And you find it just as intriguing to build as you would taking it apart. So you start making it together and you show it off with pride to your parents. In that moment of joy and feeling of companionship with your brother you also show him how easily you can break into his safety deposit box. Your brother initially feels insecure and a bit upset over the whole deal but since you are such good friends he doesn't mind. But now he will surely find a better place for his secrets and his pennies. However, now your brother have learned how to break into these kids toys. He in turn have friends who own such boxes so he messes with his friends by opening theirs and finding out their secrets. He uses these secrets to poke fun at them and maybe even as leverage to stay on a competitive level with them at school etc. "If you don't stop teasing me i will tell everybody about your secret crush on that girl i found in your safe." And so, a cheater is born. You use the trick you learned from your brother to gain an advantage over others in the game of life. ---- Like i pointed out, this was just an example of how a "hacker" operates and how a script kiddie (your brother) takes advantage of your work to cheat others. There are hobby lock pickers that pick locks on their spare time. Whenever a new lock comes out they swarm that lock to pick that too because it's a brand new challenge to them. Just some random example video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueNgC5_cEoA And there are countless videos like it! While hobby lockpickers generally don't use their lock picking skills to do bad things, others who are not of the same good character will use that same information to do bad things. So, what does this story about you as a kid and hobby lockpickers and hackers all have in common? Neither of them have access to the "source", you didn't have the blueprints to the toy safe your brother owned but you cracked it open none the less by trying to find a weakness in it's design. Lockpickers know how locks work because they have disassembled them and looked at how they are made. They didn't see the blueprints but they looked inside and figured it out. The Nazi army, Navy and Airforce in WW II had the Enigma machine. The allied forces managed to get their hands on one but it would be useless to them since the "key" to decoding the message changed on a daily basis. But knowing the flaw in the machine (one being, a letter never became itself when encoded) they figured out a way to minimize the possible combinations of more than a few billion possibilities down to a few million ones. And then they brute forced it with a machine called the "Bombe" made by Alan Turing. Mind you, WW II wasn't a game... Real lives where saved and lost because the allies broke the Enigma code. Once again, neither of these cases required the source code or blueprints to be broken. ----- How does software work then? How can you reverse engineer a game so you can make a cheat work in a game that you have no source code to and no ability to modify out of the box with modding tools? You can't just poke and prod until the door just opens for you, right? Well, you know what you want to have happen and you know something about how a game works already since you are so involved with the process. You do it as a hobby, the goal is to break into the "lock" and thus you have a life long experience doing this already. You know all the tricks! A simple example (one that even YOU can do, there are plenty guides online on how) is hacking Minesweeper from Microsoft. You want to stop the timer in the game... Because then you will beat the game in 0 seconds and be the top of the leader board on that PC. (And there are other ways to do this mind you) You know that the timer increases by one every second, you know that the timers value is stored somewhere in memory (called a variable) and that location has an address that the game knows, otherwise it would not be able to increase it every second. So, you start a program (a tool designed to watch applications memory regions) and that tool has a feature that lets you find values that increase, decrease or stay the same among other things. Knowing that Minesweeper is a 32 bit application you can assume the variable will be a 32 bit integer. So you set your program (hack tool) to look for integers that increase. It will now scan through the games memory and filter out all memory addresses that doesn't increase in value. You are left with a few thousand values, all jibberish to you as they range from negative two billion to positive 2 billion with change. But, you know the value of the timer. So you filter out all values that are not equal to the timers value and you resume gameplay. You are now down to maybe 4 values, one of those values is the one you are looking for and you use the program to alter the value in real time to see what effect it has on the game. Voila! You now figured out the value and it's memory location, you can alter it to read 2,000 seconds and you can (as you wanted) alter it to read 0 seconds. But you are not done yet, you need to be able to change this value on the fly. Say by the press of a button. So you scan through the games memory for pointers (addresses that reference this location in memory) to figure out what is actually changing this value from within the game. Then you disassemble the games raw code (known as the Assembly language, that most hackers know by heart) and alter the way the game works by changing out the code. So, you make the game set the value of the timer to zero and then you forcibly make the game not change that value anymore. You have now successfully hacked your first game, you should be very proud of yourself and you are most likely left craving for MORE. ------- Now comes the anti hack measures, they scan for activities on your computer that resembles these reverse engineering and injections/altering of code. If they find something suspicious they will kick (and ban) you from the game. Flag your key as a hacker and you will never be able to play online again. But the hackers will have none of it! They find a new challenge, bypass the anti hack measures. And they do this the same way they hack the game itself. They hack the anti hack and forcibly disables it from making these sanity checks. And so, the hacks keep on working and the anti hack measures are toothless as they "seem" to be operating normally but they are in fact doing nothing at all. Once again, no source code required. No mods needing to be installed. ------ Another method that has been extensively used is reading the network traffic between the server and client, reverse engineering the structure of this traffic to determine where all players are on the map, where all their tents are hidden and where all vehicles are stashed. Word got out that this was happening and there was no way to stop it from happening. Well, short of cryptography, encoding the traffic so it becomes unreadable to the average person with his simple hack tool. But you see, that's the problem with client->server communication. Each side needs to know how to communicate with each other. One encodes the data and sends it and the other needs the key to decode the data. Hackers find out where this key is stored in the games memory, reads the key and uses the key do decode the traffic sent between the client and server. And the cheaters will now once more know where you are hiding, how many you are, what weapons you carry and so on. All without source code or mod tools! --------------------- I will finish with an argument for why having open source and mod tools is a good thing. Server admins will be able to develop tools to catch cheaters. For instance, they can develop a tool that records players movements. If they can see that a certain player is moving in straight lines towards other players tents, vehicles or the player themselves it's a pretty clear sign that player knows beforehand where everything and everyone is. Strike them with the ban hammer and no amount of anti hack circumvention will save them. If you can read the source you can also see potential problems and fix them. While a hacker can do the same, he can see potential back doors and abuse them. But he will find those back doors with or without the source. Now the average good person can find the holes and plug them instead of having to spend a life time finding the holes through reverse engineering to point out that there is a problem but have no solution on how to fix it because he doesn't know what code needs to be changed. Thanks for reading!
  4. I'm really glad I joined these guys. Everyone's helpful and works together as a team. Transport/backup/etc always available for the asking. We usually roll around in multi vehicles both air and land and just wreak havok. All legit PVPers and no whiners in the bunch. Dedicated server/forums/teamspeak3 FTW. It's pretty hard to even find a bandit clan in the first place, and I found a great one!

    Ammunition types

Here's my thoughts on this: * HE and Incendiary are somewhat one and the same, both have an explosive element but are largely restricted to Heavy Machine Guns and Anti-Material Rifles. Incendiary rounds are often confused with Machine Gun tracers which are already in-game as it is. HE/Incendiary rounds Should only be used for Anti-Material rifles like the AS-50 and Barrett .50 Cal for the purpose of taking down vehicles and/or equipment from extreme range. If the poll went for ALL weapons, I'd say restrict the use of HE rounds to Explosive Grenades and Rockets used in various Launchers like the M79, M203 and any man-portable Rocket Launcher like the RPG-7 for example. * Some ammo is already subsonic, a standard .45 ACP load for example is inherently subsonic when fired from a handgun or sub-machine gun, which is why they are popular for Special Forces, no need to swap magazines for specialised sub-sonic ammunition. However the most common kinds of sub-sonic ammunition are .22, .9mm and .45 with rifle calibers in .30 caliber range capable of being sub-sonic. .223/5,56 and 5,45 sub-sonic ammo like many have said is inherently rare to being non-existent, whats more is that most 5,56 sub-sonic ammo often does not cycle the action of most fully-automatic rifles like the M4, M16 or AK-74. If SD or Subsonic ammo is to exist, it should remain in the use of Handguns, Sub-Machine guns and very select rifles. In my opinion, Suppressors on weapons like the M4 should only muffle the shot from long range, reduce the chances of detection by players and elimanate muzzle flash. Forget rounds like STANAG SD and stick with just standard SD pistol rounds. * Hollow Points are frequently used for Hunting rifles, they also used in a number of Handguns in Civilian and Police use. I think they deserve a place with there being Hollow Points which offer the greatest damage to unarmored targets and soft points which offer mild penetration with mild tissue damage, also with the advent of a crafting system in SA, the ability to craft "Dum-Dums" or improvised Hollow points should be considered from easily aquired ammo such as .45 ACP. I've also got a few of mine own I'd like to share: Match Grade - Refers to ammo which is used for Accuracy and finely tuned for that purpose, commonly used in Sniper Rifles, used by Military and Police Sharpshooters as well as Civilians for Shooting Sports such as Target Shooting and Hunting. Often tagged alongside other types of bullet, like Match Grade Hollow Point for example. FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) - Only really available for the majority of Military Rifles and rarely appearing for Military Handguns (such as the M9). Increases chance of penetrating Soft Body Armor (Armor without a ballistic plate). Only found on Military grade weapons. AP (Armor Peircing) - Used for high powered Military Sniper Rifles and Battle Rifles, can penetrate Vehicle Armor, Hard Body Armor and light cover (such as sheet metal) with a decrease in tissue damage. Doesn't expand as much on contact, leaving a less severe wound. Found at significantly rarer chance in Military Loot Spawns. Handloaded - Like Match grade, appears alongside an additional ammo type like "Handloaded Hollow Point". Increases chance of a weapon jamming and/or a catastrohpic failure of the weapon (the gun blowing up). Could also be available as a crafting option with the right materials. Corrosive Ammo - Like Match Grade and Handloaded, it appears next to a regular type of round, like Corrosive Hollow Point. Refers to very old ageing ammo that is often dangerous to use in a firearm. Increases chance of a weapon jamming and actually damages the gun the more you use it without cleaning it (presuming you can actually clean your guns in SA). Fairly common ammo drop, but care should be taken. Overpressure Ammo - Only used for Handguns and Sub-machine Guns, increases range, speed velocity and damage of each round. Available in .9x18mm, 9x19mm and .45 ACP. Often signified with a +P or +P+ next to the ammo type to signify the difference.
  6. thanks for the replies. also, have any changes been made to spawn chances for anything? and do vehicles have spawn chances and custom spawn points?

  8. Currently looking for a bandit or 2 to join my current group of 3. When I say bandit.. I do not mean KOS'ing Bambi's, I mean engaging targets at "High Risk" areas or in vehicles. A little about us: Our ages range from 23-30. We do not camp. usually play 5-6 nights a week and sometimes during the day. use Mumble. We usually play on a Taviana map or a death match Fallujah map. (but are open to others, just haven't found a lot of good servers) We are all East coast. If you have any other questions please feel free to message me on the forums. Hoping to go into the SA with a nice 5-6 man group. Thanks
  9. we're at nearlyy 200 vehicles, and we think it's right about where we'd want to keep it. but we're always looking for feedback on this and any other issue you, the players, think needs to be discussed. so hop in game and in ts and let us know what you think!
  10. How hard would it be to unban some of the vehicles such as the UH-1Y for example so they can be spawned in on custom spawn points.
  11. We have had a few people ask questions about the additions that DayZ + add to the game. On this server we have: Multiple new skins. New Weapons - a lot of AK variants! best private/community servers?

What if we removed the crosshair?

The only problem that I've notice is that while in vehicles, you can change the cameraview with your mouse. Or maybe I'm the only one who had this problem on a server without Crosshair.
  14. What experiences are you talking about exactly? The experience of running 10 km to get to NWA only to find at most 3 people, all fully geared lying in wait in one of the several tree lines around the strip? The experience of then running the extra ~3 km around the airfield, checking every little hiding place on your way? Or the experience of becoming one of the same group of campers around the airfield, waiting for whatever amount of time it takes for one to make a sound or make a move? Are we talking about the experience that is suggested to every new player, walking inlands to look for gear for hours on end and constantly checking every nook and cranny around the hotspots for the "elite" snipers that are bound to camp from them? Finding a heli crash site that has been looted by several others before you get there so all you find is a few bandages and the junk they didn't take like a Bizon? Or in the off chance you are the first to a crash site and you still only find a FAL? Or should you be so lucky as to find a M107 or AS50 only to have to make the same thing you did before, camping or get camped...? --- Mind you, i have done all that already. I have had vehicles, i have had a helicopter, i have been carrying full gear, i have fought the "elites" at NWA and Stary. I have been a friendly, i have been helpful... The one thing all of these things have in common is they take lots of TIME and effort with very small returns, if any. The best experience you can have is spawning fresh, finding a double barrel shotgun and going full on commando with it with another bored player in one of the big towns. Taking his gear and repeating the process. Instead of wasting 4-6 hours running and looting you spawn, find a weapon in 5-10 minutes and are good to go fighting others for dominance. IF you are any good you will come out on top and eventually snag someone elses AS50. I have killed a few DMR/M107/AS50 etc users already, simply by coming up behind them with makarovs, winchesters, hatchets and putting a well placed bullet to the back of their head. That's the best experience of all time, knowing they most likely spent DAYS finding their gear only to have it taken away by someone who spawned no more than 20 minutes ago.
  15. I am currently playing on Server US 310 and would like to start a mature team to play with. The server currently has 400 vehicles. Its the best server I've played in for the past 9 months. It is currently whitelisted. When you log in it will give you information on how to apply. Most of the time it is instant approval. Or you can reach me (Snoopy) at ts101.light-speed.com:4888 and I will ask the admin to add your name to the server. I would just need your Dayz gaming name. We have had the minimum amount of hacking compared to all the other servers i have played on.
  16. I was basically a noob when it came to flying a heli. Found a server that has plenty of heli's. At one time I had over a dozen that I didnt crash. I took a "crash" course in learning how to fly. If you want to learn how to fly I can teach you how. I'm playing on server US 310. Just ask for Snoopy when you see me on the server. If the server is whitelisted just apply at their website, you will see the info on how to apply when you log into the server. Besides heli's there are about 400 vehicles on the map to choose from.
  17. Hi guys, I would like to present some buildings that could be helpful into(maybe Chernarus) I would like to see things such as.. (Images displayed in links are examples to prove a clarification to my definition as a support) Inspirations; Dawn of the Dead, Dead Rising, Resident Evil series. Confirmed by Dean Hall! Shopping Malls; It's one or more buildings that forms a complex full of stores and shops that offer walkways, stairs and escalators for people to walk with ease. Here's how it could work out..Main place for supplies and equipment; only downside is that due to it's popularity, it'll host more zombies(I mean, a lot more) so it wouldn't be a walk in the park.Size should be a consideration of a mall. Larger the better as it'd serve a better purpose.Adding some type of interior designs such as these; Interior(With Zombies)Police Stations; There had to be law enforcement in every cities right? Why not have this become a part of the Standalone? Additional firearms and gadgets like hand-cuffs/batons(even confiscated from criminals) can be found through file cabinets, armories and so forth.Police uniforms which provide more urban 'camouflage' to the city environments and some protection.Police vehicles in garages(most likely empty or damaged but can be fixed)Items available such as city maps and consumables.More Stores than supermarkets; Tired of seeing supermarkets as the only stores available? How about clothing, restaurants, gun shops(maybe) and such. Offers more variety in towns when you are in seek of things you pursue for survival.Adds in more civilian grade equipment instead of military taking the spotlight.Possibility of adding car dealerships, hardware stores, newsstands and drug stores.More open land farms; We all know that Old Macdonald had a farm before the apocalypse so what can we expect to see after it? Lifestock still alive or even crops maintained from weather conditions possibly? Possibility of horse stables which can house several horses(not kept)Lifestock such as cows, goats, chickens, pigs available.Plants/trees which could host fruits/vegetables and even beans! :beans: That can be found depending on the condition such as being covered with diseases and other threats to crops; which could reflect from the weather conditions over time. Useful for foraging. If you guys can improve on this idea or share your thoughts, please post your responses below. 20. Hey guys, This isn't a very complex idea so I'll get straight into it. Current State: Once you have a vehicle repaired, you can currently simply hop in and drive it. This works fine, but it does allow for someone to easily get to your car, and hijack it, or even hop in the back/boot. Theres really not much to do to prevent this besides shooting this person or driving away. Sometimes you are unable to do this, because you are preoccupied etc. For example, one time when I had just spawned into a new server, I had a vehicle approach me almost straight away. I noticed there were 2 Ghilli Suit characters inside the car, and both hopped out to try to shoot me (for whatever reason). I was relatively close to the vehicle, and the instant the driver move a bit away from it, I just dashed for the door, jumped in while bleeding, and drove off. One of the other guys managed to get into the passenger seat, and it was quite awkward driving away while bleeding to death looking at this stranger that had just hopped out to try and murder me. Point being, did I really deserve to get into that car? No. Would I have been able to do that in real life, even IF they were that bad a shot to not be able to kill me? No. They would simply drag me out of the door, or push me away. Its hard to represent that in game, besides a melee system with staggering etc. I don't really want to cover this, what I want to cover is realistic vehicle handling. Proposed Idea: I'd suggest a new item be added that spawns in with each working vehicle. This would be a simple key. Now before you start thinking i'm going to suggest you need to have this key to drive, stop. I'm not going to say that, because I realise the effect that would have on the game. You could essentially log out, and have a vehicle that is un-drivable until you come back with the key. What I am going to suggest is the following. If you are in possession of the key (which can act as a utility style item (theres little to no information on how the new inventory will handle items), you are able to start the vehicle it corresponds to, and lock/unlock it. Locking a car is available once you leave the car, and while you are in it (the latter can be done without the key). Locking / Unlocking Once you have locked your car, several situations can occur. The car doors and gear are inaccessible to a player without the key. However they can break into the car. Breaking into the car causes several things: Once you break into the car, you are able to unlock the door which you broke through (using the window). You can move to any seat inside the car as you can now, without having to break any more glass. That windsheild is now considered broken, and will need to be repaired (exposing the passenger/driver to easier damage, and zombies dragging you out of the car). If the car was locked when you broke the windsheild to get in, the car alarm will trigger. Car Alarms If you happen to trigger the car alarm by attempting to (and succeeding to) break into a car, it will sound for as long as the car's engine is not turned on. Turning the car engine on isn't as simple as it is with the key however. It will take a bit longer, and make a bit more noise. Essentially you would do the Hollywood style "break open the dashboard" hot wiring of the car to start the engine. This will be an action that takes a few seconds, meanwhile the car alarm is going, and the sound of bashing the window in has already happened. The car will rev a bit while you attempt to turn it on until finally it turns on. Consequences of Stealing a Car The reason why stealing a car would then become a harsh decision, is you'd have to take several things into account. While breaking into the car, you're left in the open, bashing in a window. This will create a fair bit of noise that both nearby players and infected will hear. While starting the car, the car alarm will attract and draw a lot of infected to the vehicle, and alert any player nearby that there is a car being stolen. The windshield on the drivers side (or passenger side) would now be broken, which leaves you with little defense against bulets and infected (who can hopefully pull you out of broken windows). I'll leave it at that so that I don't go off-topic too much into different ideas. Please post what you think of these ideas, and how I could improve them, or anything else you think of! Thanks for reading!

    suggestion for the scoreboard

I'd love to see a L4D style screen when you die, running threw every single thing possible in the game, and how many times you did that. For example: Zombie kills Player Kills Player Bandages Self Bandages Other medical support etc. Vehicles repaired Distance ran Distance drove Distance swam Distance flown Distance floated I won't go on anymore, but hopefully you get the idea of it. I'd love to see, and be able to show off a great life I had in DayZ without having to record the entire time I was alive as proof. A simply death screen scrolling with stats like this (obviously it doesn't have to look the same) would fill that gap :)
  22. I can't for the life of me understand why nobody has posed the question... "Why would you want to be friendly to begin with?" At the current stage of the game the only challenge you will ever face is when fighting other players. Killing zombies is a no-brainer. (pun indeed intended) Finding loot is only good for what exactly? You are farming gear to do what? You find and fix a vehicle so you can move about quickly but what is the purpose of moving about if all you do all day is kill zombies and look for gear? Gear that you can find pretty much everywhere? Sure, you won't come across many heli crash sites without a vehicle of some sort. You won't be able to stack up on good gear without a camp someplace or at least a vehicle or two... BUT WHY WOULD YOU WANT ANY GEAR TO BEGIN WITH... Considering you will rarely if ever use it? The best way to be friendly is to not have any gear at all besides maybe a hatchet to kill zombies with. That is the safest way for whomever you come across to know you are not a direct threat to them. You clearly don't need a backpack if you intend to be friendly. All you need is the hatchet and some food. Nope, the mere existence of "friendly" is totally alien to me. Either you are with my group (IRL friends) or you are a target, simple as that. Trust no one and kill anyone who is a direct threat to you (they carry a weapon of any kind) and you will find that this game has a lot to offer to you. I started out being a "mr nice guy" and wanted to create a base of some sort, have lots of vehicles and eventually a helicopter. I spent hours upon hours searching for vehicle parts and whatnot, at one point i had 5 vehicles tucked away in various locations on the map. I had an AS50 and M14 AIM, a coyote backpack, NVG, GPS and all that jizz. TO WHAT END? One little mistake and you where set back several hours of painstaking gear farming. As it is now, unless i carry something of any real worth like a DMR, AS50, M107 etc etc i just roam the two big cities looking for someones head to pop with whatever weapon i happen to come across. If i die i just make my way back to Cherno or Elektro, find any weapon and go hunting for players. Take their weapon(s) if better and repeat til i have something resembling good gear. Then i move out occasionally to hunt the "elite" players who roam the "big spawns" for gear. The one thing most players don't know about DayZ is you don't really need to leave Cherno or Elektro to find good military gear. All you have to do is clean out the military loot spawn points and wait 10 minutes. Come back and find your upgrades right there. If someone happens to "steal" your loot you just pop his head or die. At least you have now saved yourself the trip to the bloody NWA and all the boredom and time it takes to make said trip. And there is nothing as exciting as being smack bang in the middle of Elektro and having 5-7 random people all running around looking for you because you killed them or their freshly spawned friend. Why waste your time doing anything but look for a weapon and go hunt other players? Sure, you can set a limit so you only hunt the "bad guys", that's quite alright with me. But in the end, this is nothing more than a free for all deathmatch with zombies as a nuisance.
