    Vehicles not respawning

    Yea that thing never spawns on my server. I bet it only spawned on my server when it first came out and when razor first ran the script on my servers to bring back broken vehicles.

I'm sure you could understand not wanted to fly around the map for half an hour every time a fix was pushed. Not to mention HALO jumps, kill messages, study body and to an extent even auto refuel (for gathering vehicles at one pump for testing)." -Rave The admin debug will be locked so that everyone has the same thing. We simply had it to see our options and impliment features to everyone accordingly. If people have a problem with this we would be more than happy to remove it completely. However, just keep in mind this may result in losing features such as altitude in the debug until we figure something else out.
  4. Sup. Pretty self explanatory, me and 3 other experienced players are looking for a whitelist or passworded server to join, UK preferably but EU too. Cherno map, not too fussed about loot tables/features however a few changes from vanilla would be welcome (more vehicles, but not like 150 tanks roaming around). 10+ players desired, we've geared up on so many hives that get like 7 people max and just us on a night with nobody else online - so a few players is a must. Thanks :)

  6. I see alot of hives with over 200 vehicles and crazy custom loadouts, looking for something a little more hardcore. The server i currently play on lags terribly. I've been going through the lists and have seen some cool looking servers, but they involve downloading mods. Looking for something that uses the default files, have a decent starting load (atleast a hatchet), and isn't loaded with tons of vehicles or admins who abuse their power. Thanks.
  7. What does ACE change compared to the original game? * Improved IR Strobe simulation. IR Strobes can be attached to players and vehicles, can be re-used and preplaced by mission designers via special functions. * Improved flare simulation that makes flares visible in daylight. * Improved explosion effects. Explosions don't just create a whistle in your ears like in the original game, but they also can knock you out, blind you and make you deaf. * Realistic working laser rangefinding devices. No magic range display. * Realistic bullet trajectory depending on the type of ammunition and barrel length of the weapon. * Realistic rocket ballistics. Rockets hava a parabolic flight trajectory like in real life. Not a straight shot. * Improved backpack system which is backwards compatible to Arma2 units which don't feature the original game's backpack system. * Improved vehicle damage simulation. The damage depends on ammunition used and where a vehicle was hit, like in real life. No incremental damage destruction. * and more .. and there is lot more of changes. when i started to play arma i thought it totaly crap game coz of clumzines and controls what made me cry. Then i get used to movement and controls. And then I found ACE2 mod - I thought only sick people can use ACE2 coz it makes arma even more difficult. And now i can not imagine playing arma2 without ACE2.   8. Chernarus isn't safe anymore, if zombies aren't trying to eat your face, bandits are trying to shoot it off. There are still however those brave few that offer protection and safety in the face of evil, although there numbers dwindle day by day. Seek refuge with these men and women or with the ever loyal company of a canine companion. Be bandit if you must but be warned friends are a rare commodity in the days of the apocalypse, and if you kill the innocent, there will be those who seek revenge. Crack Clan offers a well balanced, more personal experience with the customization of our server adding all those things we wanted from DayZ, whilst staying true to it’s gameplay. With features like stripping vehicles for parts and gas siphoning, both friendly and non-friendly NPC AI, even canine companions, also adding a few extra features on the island like a dwindling power supply, and the ability to ride in/on the boot of a few selected vehicles.   9. Our latest Developers blog is now live yay We’ve gone for a reasonably quick and dirty video blog this week, mainly because things have been very busy for us. Inventory System One of the biggest improvement areas has been the inventory system, now almost ready for a public display. This new inventory system supports crafting, interchangeable clothing, degradation, tracking, weapon customization, and much more. It’s really a revolutionary system for us and we’re extremely proud of the results that Jirka (our programmer assigned to this) has achieved. Crafting Not touched on in the video, but what we will be showing soon is the basics of how users can interact with items in the world - this is the next step in development of our inventory system beyond where it is now. This is not a traditional crafting system, but one that encourages layers to explore the ways in which items can be crafted. Zombie pathfinding In the video, towards the end, some before and after footage of work on the zombie AI pathfinding. Not only has this changed the role, threat, and speed of the zombies - but it has also yielded performance improvements. The increased accuracy of the zombies movement allows their movement to be slowed down to more sensible values, in line with those of the players themselves. We still have some other avenues to explore in this regard, but we’re very pleased with the results so far. Mass zombie spawning server side Now all zombies are spawned directly on the server and their movement is governed directly on the server itself. This has allowed us to provide increased security and hack prevention mechanisms by disabling functionality at the client level. It also means that zombies no longer “pop” in and out of the world, previously used as a mechanism to tell if someone was in the area. It also paves the way for us to allow migrating zombies and zombies traversing open areas in search for their next meal. We still have some way to go in performance, the initial tests of 4000 zombies spawned reduced the server FPS to 4. After performance optimizations this increased up to 21. We’re now confident we can have the server FPS back up to 30+ with maximum numbers of zombies in the near future. Expanding health system Health is extending far beyond just blood, into a system that incorporates health, blood, and consciousness level. How these are all interrelating will be touched on in its own devblog in future. Some of the exciting developments coming include longterm play effects such as poor diet affecting your long term health levels. All this translates into the importance of a longterm plan for survival of your character, and we’re sure the role of medical specialists will become very important - hopefully emphasizing social interaction opportunities. Chernarus Expansion This continues at a huge pace. The two new villages in expand Cherno and provide it a true city feeling. Also expanding is the top (north) map area and the continued development of our large-scale features being added to the map. More to follow on this! (we can’t wait to show some more of this!) Loot spawning Finding loot now involves scavenging inside of vehicles, looking for items stuck between furniture, prying open car boots, or strewn in the wasteland itself. Consuming your bounty now results in rubbish, such as empty cans after consuming your beans. This is no mere gimick, because your trash can be used to track you. Conclusion There is a great deal more that can be covered, but we’re really deeply in the thick of development at the moment and we just wanted to get something quick and dirty to all those waiting for standalone. We know that you want it released, and we know you want to know when this will be - but we’re 100% committed to making this a great game, and that means we are making sure to do things properly. We’re happy and confident about the progress, so it’s one foot after another and soon we’ll be at the finish line.

If it's a public hive server give this a read: dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/120666-dayz-server-administration-guide/ You should quite easily be able to find any spawned in vehicle in the hiveext.log file. Private hive servers (depending on the hoster) might have some kind of admin tool available, but I dont have any knowledge of those since our server is a public 1.     The radar has always been weird. While playing on Arma, Radar detects things what aren't even there, like wrecks/dismounted vehicles what have despawned.

    Make Loot Less Obvious

    I keep seeing suggestions that the game should have building X so it will have items A B C. To me that just too much of an easy button if you know exactly where to go to have the best chances to find what you seek. Maybe i just haven't been through enough apocalypses but it seems to me that the most sought after supplies ... food, water, guns, ammo, survival equipment ect would not be found at your local grocer, gun shop, sporting goods store. I don't know about yall but every apocalypse i have been through, if im short on supplies in hitting up the first store i see that might have what i need. By the time some random survivor washes up on the shore X # of months or years later im thinking the odds of him finding supplies in the obvious places are pretty darn slim. The better the gear the less likely you will find it where it would have been found pre apocalypse. The SA seems to be heading this way with gear being hidden in buildings, vehicles ect so hopefully we will see much less loot in the obvious places.

    the problem didn't disappear. playing on the "united-warriors" server I don't see the helicopter. my friends see it. the helicopter can damage me. (all Vehicles which I don't see in game, in the editor it is visible)

  15. there is no customization of vehicles however they have added over 100 new ones. no you cant build a village either, but there are 500 new weapons a complete new sound mod, new movement options, rolling fog at night, tazers etc
  16. Hello, really like the new map layout, great work gyus!! ( Sometimes theres just not enough beans.. ;) ) We visited Devils castle yesterday and noticed that there are many iddle/empty cars, mostly skodas and gaz. Some of the cars you cant even get in to. We started to wonder if someone really uses those vehicles or are they just left there after a roadtrip from coast to north. If nobody needs them, I like to suggest that we gather all the idle cars in nice big pile and blow them to smithereens!! Might be nice community happening where everyone are invited, like a barbeque feast. I bring the beers, you bring the gasoline and matches... B) This way these cars will spawn again, hopefully somewhere near south coast, where they are much more needed for new spawners. just my 666cents... -P-
  17. Be aware when I am on. While I totally understand your idea with the bait thing (and I don't doubt that it works out many times), I am usually expecting to find more, once I found a vehicle or a tent. ESPECIALLY on servers that don't show your position on the map. I usually acted like you described: found a car/tent with some gear and I ran away, hiding the loot, assuming I found what I needed. But there was this one incident, I was driving a tractor (yeah I know, pathetic) and a helicopter was to be heard. I drove into a forrest and saw a white car. "Cool, exchange tractor for white car" was my thought. The helicopter was still flying not too far away from me (couldn't see it but always hear it), and I decided to check this little forest area before I drive the car out. I discovered a tent with 4 main weapons, some grenades and medical supplies. I was happy and put that stuff from the tent into the car. The car was facing direction Berezino and since I came from there, I turned it 180 degrees and drove through the forrest (that god damn helicopter...) until I come close to a ridge that goes down sharply. My eyes fell off when I saw a military offroad and a military truck. So I check the jeep (completely empty) and the truck. Holy lord! 3 AS 50 with 12 mags, 12 grenades, 1 ACOG, 1 DMR, 2 M 249, 2 M 16s, 2 GPS and 2 tents). So I destroyed the tractor, the white car and the military offroad (scorched earth policy for the win!) and drove the truck North, placing 2 tents, splitting up the gear in between them. Parked the truck (which was found next day, but empty) and had some fun. 2-3 days later, 3 bandits were reported at Stary Sobor. A newbie got killed and in side chat he said sth like: "These guys said I stole their vehicles and gear because I was carrying THEIR AS 50 and destroyed their cars...What's wrong with these people." I was like <_<, patiently waiting for 3 bandits, coming to the NWAF. Unfortunately they didn't show up. Still waiting B)

    A Tale of Banditry

    Gather round, fellow survivors and listen to my tale of banditry. I do not normally play as a bandit, so I had surprisingly good luck when deciding to do so for the first time. It began when me and a friend were raiding the North-West airfield, and we realised that we were becoming hungry and thirsty fast. So, after each finding various AKs, we headed east and soon found ourselves in the town of Grishino. However, running back up the hill to the forest, our backpacks crammed with food and drink, we heard the sound of a beeping horn and, moments later, we saw an approaching UAZ coming up the dirt track beside us. We took cover in the nearby woodland. We decided to ambush the car without damaging it, so we could take it, as it was a rare occurrence for us to find vehicles, never mind fully repaired. So, we attempted to take out the driver as he drove past. As he did, I missed the first shot and managed to damage a wheel. This did not matter too much as we had previously looted a wheel and were carrying it for this precise reason. The car was still mobile, however, and had driven a fair distance away from us. Just as we gave up hope of looking for it, side chat revealed that the driver had to stop to repair at a nearby deerstand, as he queried his friends on the server in hope that one of them may have been carrying a toolbox. Luckily, I had a toolbox with me, and I told him. I explained to him that I had just managed to escape the "two bandits who I saw shooting at your car". Accepting my offer to repair his car back at Grishino, he parked up outside the church and told me to meet him there. My friend and I knew this seemed like a trap, however we were careful. I holstered my AK-47 and moved over to where he was. I said hello and tried to seem like a friendly player. What I didn't yet know was that he had a sniper friend on a hill. What he didn't know was that I was repairing the car for my own use. His ally sniper covering him had obviously let his guard down, thinking I wasn't a threat. I said goodbye and good luck before riddling his face with Makarov rounds and jumping in the car. Hastily, I pulled the car around and turned it towards the eastern-leading road, when suddenly, I hear a DMR shot ringing from the hill to the west. At this point, I am shouting at my friend to get in the car, with him not expecting me to have stolen it. He ran up to the car and jumped into the passenger seat. I pressed down the W key as hard as I could and accelerated away, with DMR rounds pinging on the road behind me. An average bandit story, but pretty cool nonetheless.

Me and a few friends are looking into the possibility of buying a server the things we want to accomplish are as follows; Whitelisting (Obviously we would want this to stop hackers from ruining our fun) Custom buildings (Maybe a few extra barracks here and there, medical tents in areas such as Kamenka to make that part of the map a place to go. Camping shops/super markets added to some places like Kamenka. Custom weapons Some added guns from the Arma game like the KSVK, MK12, Saiga 12, as well as others. Custom vehicles Camouflage SUV, Firetruck, Ambulance (for medic teams), Police cars (Chernarus Police) Custom crash sites Lynx sites, Ural sites, AC130 sites. Clan Identification If clans are joining then they are more than welcome to have certain clan custom skins (albeit there will be rules set on what is available I, unfortunately do not know about the code or scripting that would go into such a server or where to go about buying one that will not go into maintenance more time than not. If there is a thread on this already then I apologise as I have used to search bar and Google but I always find forum help to be the best

  21. I'm looking for a new Taviana map to play on and start a new camp and many new players. I would like the server to have. 150+ vehicles. Crashed Helis +5~7 of them. Barracks that spawn loot etc weapons. No overpowerd weapons like AS50, m107 or thermo. Not spawning at the far beach far away from anything. No overpowerd spawn gear. Active admins. side chat friendly people and some bandits to make it more interesting. If the server is whitelisted it's okey as long as you can accept a request fast.
  22. So my buddies and me were on a private hive, The map was chernarus. We were playing for 2 weeks and had all the end gear and a couple of vehicles. Helping bambies and shit. The owner then changes the map to taviania. Ok we can deal with that, the map is new and we found an little bird and a h1 huey. Set up a base at knin. All is good we had again some gear. I was gone for 2 days to find that the shit turned the server back to chernarus WTF i dont mind loosing my gear when im killed but like this. No wonder his player base went from 30-40 to like 5 players
  23. I'm looking for server WITHOUT - 300 vehicles , must be normal number of vehicles, - i don't wanna 24/7h daylight etc, i want normal server like few months ago. Another informations: - veteran - 3DP: ON - CH: Off And numbers of players must be above 25, that would be nice. If anyone know that server, please write IP or website here.
  24. I had made a dayz private hive before but i can't edit anything! Sure, i can edit the config file and change some simple things but i can't do anything cool I want one where i can add extra vehicles, spawn vehicles, Edit people's inventory, spawn guns, add extra guns, repair all vehicles, fix all vehicles, and just do every thing that is needed to be done. Please do not recommend Dayzcc because the dev's stopped working on it and it well no longer be updated. If anyone know's of a good youtube video or can explain it to me right in the form that would be more than awesome :)
