Me and some mates decided to start running our own server , since we were tired playing on servers where admin abuse there powers or where there are no active admins. This server is running allways on daylight and around +- 200 vehicles ( 6 choppers ) , we also added custom vehicles to the spawnpositions ( no cars with gun on cause that seems a little bit to overpowered in dayz). [SA Suggestion] Corpses in vehicles (and more)

Sure, this sounds sensible. Keep in mind though that when it comes to coding this sort of stuff it can be pretty damn tricky to make it so that sometimes the bodies fall out and sometimes they don't when it comes to closed vehicles. Not talking about motorcycles here. (Though not impossible. It could be implemented as a probability but I hate that approach. I'd rather not have the game delayed by 2 months because of a slightly practical vanity feature). So to simplify things, if you're in a car or a chopper you don't fall out, but on a motorcycle or a bicycle or you would. Simple to code, just mark the different vehicles as either open or closed. Wouldn't delay the game's release too much. ;) -
We did the same thing to fix the UH1H ammo reload kick. As Ameo said before, Dwarden can u please add the new vehicles in the attachto.txt filter. Thanks for your job. DJ Teschmi

I never said i hunt fresh spawns only. I hunt everyone, no matter what gear they have or how long they have been around. To me you come across as just another whiner who can't deal with being killed and want everything served on a platter. Why? Because you shape what others say to suit your own agenda so you have someone else to blame for your own mistakes. I have been around the map several times the past weeks but the one place where you are sure to find players is Elektro. If you go to NWA you will find a player 1 out of 10 visits and a group of players once every 20 visits. And that is long before you realize that these players are just as horrible at PvP as the rest of the fresh spawns in Elektro. They sit out in the open and unload on zombies making their presence known to the entire server and most of them die to zombie attack anyways, leaving me with nothing to kill in the first place. Then you have Stary, Zele, Berezino, Balota, Krasnostav + NEA and all the other little places players go to find good gear at. Each of them are even more deserted than NWA. If you combine all of them into one you may find as many players during your day as you do in Elektro in 1 hour. But once again, they are all just as bad at PvP as the next guy. They play the game to hoard gear and fix vehicles, they don't know a thing about combat with other players. Nor do they care to learn and instead they cry like little babies when we come up and kill them off. The other day we decided to make a round trip around chernarus and kill off a bunch of carebears and all their vehicles. We hit them at the factory inside the Dolina, Polana, Orlovets triangle and killed one of their fully geared players just as they where leaving with a land rover. The other player exited the vehicle and remained in the factory for about 10 minutes before he decided to hop into the vehicle. (My mistake was to not shoot out the tires of the vehicle though) And a few moments later he jumped into the vehicle and ran off, leaving his friends fully geared corpse behind. And 1-2 minutes after that we had a MI-17 circling the area for about an hour doing nothing useful at all. Hardly entertaining. Mind you, these guys have "sworn" that if we leave Elektro they would kill us without problems. After a while, not finding anything else there we move on north to look for heli crashes. We find one, bring some ammo and the sidechat reveals that some snipers are shooting everyone in Elektro. We decide to head back down south to deal with them. As we run back past the Factory we are suddenly being shot upon. Wasn't paying attention to our surroundings and one of us where hit and bleeding but still alive and managed to bandage. I administer a blood bag while our third guy flanks around to come up behind the threat. This third guy is rather noobish though and he runs straight into the attacker, no more than 2 meters away from eachother they engage in a nasty gunfight. The enemy has an M14AIM and our guy fields an M24. Clearly the M14AIM at 2 meters distance should rape face against a bolt action sniper but the guy seems to have no experience at all and simply unloads his magazine and only managing to hit our guy once. Our guy in turn shoots back once without the scope and misses. And the second shot hits home right in the attackers chest and he falls down unconscious and bleeding. One more shot and the guy is now dead... It took less than 5 seconds before the side chat was being filled with hackusations like "i hit you 5 times!!! You cheater!" and "Noob kiddies can't play the game without hax" and lots of profanity. We haven't seen this particular player ever since. --- Yet you have the tenacity to say we can't deal with people firing back at us? That we are scared of dying? We do PvP every day, we mix in camping Elektro with roaming the inlands. We fear nothing but total humiliation. (As in, we fail miserably and get shot down doing something really noobish) We also occasionally help other players. We do give people rides from time to time, we give away vehicles we don't need and we always help people who have issues with the bugs in the game etc. We tell players where there are cars to be found and fixed (and no, we don't camp said vehicles either) and i have given morhpine and blood to people in need. I have spent many hours playing the hero, medic and helper and now i am playing the KoS bandit. Just about every time we kill an unarmed player we are "camping Elektro kids" and every other time we kill a armed player we are "evil people who do nothing but KoS". The remaining people we kill actually say "GG, that was fun" and learn from their mistakes but that is extremely rare. Thus in conclusion, all players (who aren't bandits) want to do in DayZ is farm gear all day long and fix cars and helicopters. They don't want other players in the game. They could just as well play on their own pw protected private hive. -

Script users are on every server public and private. It's worse in a way on the whitelisted and private hives because it drives them underground. Instead of being blatant and careless they tell hardly anyone, instead of teleporting all vehicles they simply teleport to the one they want. -
I think there should be like a Safe Town where there is no way to kill anybody and then have a garage where you can store two vehicles only for each player. And last have a vault to store equipment, this will help to build player relationships and have a place to go.

Standalone Weather; more predictable/effective on player's condition

Hey guys, TIC here bringing you guys another idea which came upon my mind. What if weather had more of an effect instead of getting sick/cold? For a heads-up; I have used the search function and while there are some topics retaining this suggestion, mine goes down to detail of how it could put an effect around for players and possibly zombies alike. Warm/hot weather clear skies with low winds, clouds will not be able to provide shade from cloud layers.Gives you a faster chance of getting dehydrated while doing strenuous/mild activities such as sprinting, running and so-forth.Wearing lighter clothing can help reduce the chances of getting 'too hot' .. Even if that means running around in your briefs. Could increase infection probability.Drinking a lot of fluids would give you a longer time where you won't suffer these effects like a heatstroke or dehydrationIntroduce ice packs; which could be found in mostly grocery stores and residential areas to reduce core temperature to a certain degree.Possibility of having muscle cramps as one of the symptoms; fainting, heat exhaustion, and a heatstroke could play a role without proper care.Zombies could experience their corpse rotting at a faster rate as heat increases core temperature.Staying indoors, being in the car, staying in the shade and so-forth will keep you cool.Expect more animals to be around lakes during this time.Symptoms on the Player: Mild: Expect to be thirsty faster, small increase of being exhausted Moderate: Breathing increases at a faster rate, exhaustion will follow if doing physical activities. Fainting increased. Severe: Possible respiratory problems, shaking or muscle spasms will occur, increase fainting then death. Snow Thicker cloud layer blocking the sun, reduces temperature significantly with snow. Zombies will move at a slower rate due to being warm blooded(they're not dead, just infected with a virus) an udnead body is able to produce glycoprotein or something related to it. It would have a workable system that no longer needs internal temperature to function. Zombies would be more likely to move slower in extreme cold, their blood would never convert into a solid, continuing to flow and power through the body.Players would have to find more clothing, T-Shirt and shorts wouldn't be suitable ;)Have to find an empty space on the ground to make a fire instead on top of snow.Depending on the parts; the vehicle would endure the snowy environment which would mean slippery road conditions.Some lakes could become frozen, making it a bit harder to find water. Water not being frozen? Expect it to be very cold to swim in.Decreased animal count due to being in their burrows/densSymptoms on the Player: Mild: Shivering, making aiming a bit difficult; similar to being in pain but shivering could draw attention. Could be solved by holding breath. Moderate: Decreased movement speed, perhaps some vision altering changes. Severe: Expect hearing a slow heart-rate; unable to do certain actions, walking could be impossible. Death follows shortly. Rain(Light-Heavy) Liquid water in a form of droplets being condensed from water vapor and then being precipated. Depending on the volume of the rain, it could affect your immune system. Increases chance of getting an infection/sickness.Making roads more slippery to drive on.Decreases sound of footsteps the player makes from the rain masking the sound. Wind could contribute to this factor.Animals will decrease at a small amount, their pattern will change.Zombies won't be affected by rain.Symptoms on the Player: Mild: Shivering, making aiming a bit difficult; similar to being in pain but shivering could draw attention. Could be solved by holding breath. Moderate: Could hear your character sneezing or coughing, shivering increases. Possible fever can endure. Severe: Infection starts to increase it's strength without care, your blood will drop to 0 at a certain rate. Fog Fog would decrease visibility heavily. Enables players to sneak around easier visually but could hinder your sense of direction.Using fog lamps which could be found on cars would make it easier to drive through, if available.Zombies would have increased hearing but decreased sight, making it slightly easier to lose them in this condition.Symptoms on the Player: None at this moment. -Shop is enabled, everyone use it, after server restart, like crash site, Shop building will be spawned on the map (2-3x) -Dogs in, but too rare, just on North. -We have problem with auto refuel, but will be fixed for 2-3 days. -Lock your vehicles is enabled but u most buy key in the shop or lock pick for theft. -Clan system is disabled for now (will be enabled next week, we try to fix one bug). really awesome server, and i tried almost every new private server, posted here for weeks now. This is one of the best so far: - exceptional good ping for europeans - the best antihack you can get - non abusive admins - lots of vehicles - completely changed vehicle spawns (everyone gets a chance to discover a vehicle) - custom bases, added buildings and lots of little gimmicks i didnt found at any other servers. The placement of some of these is creative and fits well in the Chernarus map without overdoing it. On the other hand there is not everything implement yet as it is listed in the description. - Shop System: not fully functional yet - Dogs: not fully functional yet - Auto refuel: doesnt work with helis on gas stations. - Lock your vehicles: Didnt see how to use that although this would assure my eternal love for this server :D - Clan System: no further information given But even without those things, like it is in the current state, its still better than most of the other privates (IMHO) For new dayz players every spawn will be an adventure (including kamenka) Even for expierienced players there is lots of new stuff to discover. You never would expect bases on places like they are on this server. Give it a try!

This is by far the best server I have ever played on. It has tons of military vehicles, many customs buildings and bases (huge fucking bases), military camps and outlets, great spawning loot, and a very friendly community. There are many server events as well. Absolutely amazing server and look forward to playing on it every single day. -
Hi guys, I've recently rented a server (UK) and set it up as a Taviana map. We're looking for a good player base to come and join in the fun. Server stats are all in the title and we are set up as Veteran with 3rd person and Crosshairs on GMT -4. We want to keep the spirit of the game in tact so there aren't hundreds of vehicles and the starting loadout is that of a prepared survivor, but nothing crazy. And always looking for suggestions on how to set up the server so that people will enjoy it. Server IP is: 146.185.20.210:3221 Or just search for Garlic, it's the ony one with that in the title haha. The Requirements & rules of STH: -First and foremost: The STH/CTH is for gaming enjoyment! We are here to have fun! Mean, hateful, antagonistic, racist, sexist behavior will not be tolerated. -AGE: You MUST be 16 years of age or older. -Required knowledge: You need to have a working knowledge of the primary keyboard controls and functions of the game. You should have several weeks of game time under your belt so that you know what you are doing. -Teamwork: On occasion it will be necessary to follow instructions when asked in order to be effective in group strategies. -All vehicles: These are off limits until you have taken your test. We do not wish to lose a vehicle from inexperienced driving. If you find one, contact a ranked member of STH with map cords (or at least a general area approximation so we know where you are located) and wait for instructions. -High value items (Low spawn rate): These items will be distributed by officers or appointed members of leadership positions so that we will be able to do the most damage. -Base Camps: Areas that stockpile equipment for the teams use: You will need to be a “team” player and demonstrate this with donations of loot before you receive cords to the base. Camps are not five finger discount stores. -Your in-game Profile name needs to have "STH" in front of it. -Must be able to speak reasonably good English in order to communicate with other STH members. ]-Only STH Members need to add the word's "Surviving The Horror" Or “Green Eggs” to your application so that we can identify that you want to join our Clan.
