So here is a question to all players out there, what type of events would you like to see take place on Private Hive Servers? I am not trying to compete with Survivor Games or anything like that ... I am just thinking about a way to get a bunch of players together to complete a task or storm a bandit camp or whatever. Would just like to hear some thoughts on this ... it can be as random as you want. ;) So instead of replying to my own thread, I thought I would add to this thread ... with two chained ideas that I came up with while sitting at work. :) Chapter 1: The Great Escape Survivors (players) are hold up in the town of Cherno and Elektro in small groups of about 4 or 5 individuals. All hell has broken loose and the town is filling up with Zs. The survivors hear a radio broadcast that the town of Gorka offers a safe haven and all survivors should make there way there as soon as they can. The players must now escape the town they are in with enough food and drink to last each survivor at least 5 meals, as they are not sure how bad the situation is out there. They will also need medical supplies and weapons (this is optional if they so choose) and will have to be quick about it. Night time is fast approaching and they don't want to be on the roads at night. The towns will have the normal loot points and maybe the odd surprise here and there. Most of the server vehicles will be moved to the cities or close proximity and will be at various levels of repair and use. The players will have to make choices about scavenging what and taking what and whether they should spend the time fixing a vehicle or just hoof it. Admins will play the role of helpless victims who have a tendency to die right in front of other groups with a shed load of Zs in tow. There will be no PvP and no Bandits ... just a whole lot of players having fun and trying to survive. What decisions will you make? Chapter 2: Everybody Needs a Hero The players make it to Gorka and enter the town only to realise that the town is overrun and the radio broadcast was a week old and was on repeat. Now the Admins take on the role of the Survivors stuck in the town and the Players are now going to be the Heroes coming to the rescue. The players hear an emergency broadcast from the victims inside Gorka, calling for immediate assistance ... there are woman and children (well Admins acting like children) and they won't survive long. The players will start at Balota or NE Airfield, they will need to decide whether the hoof it on foot, take a vehicle (which will need repair) or take air transport (which will also need repair). They will also have to take medical supplies and provisions as some of the victims have been stuck in Gorka for a while. There is a time limit however ... so players need to make critical decisions that could affect whether a victim survives or dies. Once again there is no PvP and no Bandits. Chapter 3: Exodus This is still a work in progress ... but the idea here is that players will have to make there way from Gorka to the NW Airfield ... as they heard rumours that there is a flight landing in a few hours that can evacuate X amount of people. There are also rumours that a group of Bandits have been spotted at the airfield and are laying in wait for the plane for their own purposes. In this chapter the Admins will be Bandits ... they will have to gear up just like other players and will actually be at a disadvantage because they are not allowed to leave the air field at all. :) This time there will be PvP ... but we all no Admins suck at shooting. ;) Anyway ... these are just my thoughts ... it could also be expanded to say that the flight from Chernarus is heading to Lingor (or elsewhere) and more chapters can be written. It would be cool if players record their footage and we can do a nice Movie Style Playback for those who don't take part. Oh well ... just a thought ... I thought it would be cool ... but that is just me. :)

So regaurdless the port is changing, if i ban the IP that will work? or like you said, continually ban him till he leaves. Worst case he kills me, and allt he vehicles.. I can respawn those, even roll back the vehicle, although they would lose their loot. -

Hey Everyone, I'm the main server admin over at US 106's Private Hive Chernarus server. Our server features a starting loadout of the old DayZ - Makarov, beans, patrol pack, etc. Some of our features is that we run custom antihack scripts as well as TSW (Silentwarrior antihack.) We keep our scripts always updated and have admins around the clock to ensure and remove hackers from gameplay. The server itself is on a dedicated box of ours with 8-cores of hard cranking 3.8Ghz +36gb of RAM. We run this to make sure that you, the player will not be lagging even when we are at our cap of 50-players. Many in the server are friendly and we operate a public teamspeak at ts3.totalpunishmentgaming.com, declarations should go there or be broadcasted in side/direct chat (no voice in side however.) The server features custom buildings to make some useless towns more useful as well as boost some already useful areas while still maintaining gameplay. We have every legal vehicle in DayZ in spades, though not in such enormous quantity that you'll be passing tons of them on the road. 170+ vehicles allows them to still be somewhat rare while maintaining that vibe of hopefulness in locating. We welcome rival clans, bandit, survivor, etc and have many players who only hunt should you be wearing that faithful bandit skin. Any are welcome and should any other clans out there wish to make themselves a part of our server, we'll gladly throw in a custom sort of base somewhere on the map for you to hold/defend/stash your stuff. The Server name was changed after I kept receiving emails from players on other Bambi servers complaining about Hackers in those servers.... Wish I could of helped them but I offered them to come play Here. 50 Slot server - Time GMT-11 Chernarus More Vehicles & Custom Vehicles, not so much that they are everywhere. New players are welcome. Admins are friendly and will help any way possible. Server will have continued support, updates, and possibly other addon mods.

So I have a situation that I cannot control. I have 3 people(they are friends) that have been joining my server a lot lately. As such, some fishy things have been happening. At one point with 1 of the 3 was on, I just said striaght up, look, your pal is using scripts, not sure if you know this but they have popped up, and beyond that, I have seen him logging in on multiple GUIDs. He softly denies this and continues playing. A short time after he asks me to join their teamspeak because the 'suspected' friend had just logged in. After joining, the culprate immedately admits to using scripts and hacks. Spawning weapons, vehicles, telporting, going invis, refueling/fixing vehicles... The kicker is, he says he buys these GUIDs from a guy that somehow aquires them from "youtube" through a banner/program/ad type of thing(in his words). He has 20+GUIDs and he admited to me that there is nothing I could do to stop him because he can just change his GUID at the drop of a dime. A few times i seen him join and immediately was kicked with a message saying the GUID was banned or bad. With that said, he told me he wouldn't drop any bombs on people, or teleport them out to kill them. Instead he only will use them to "help his friends" by spawning guns and other items. At one point he even joined the server, popped in a few meters behind me, and said "hey, your only 50 meters from me!" then giggled. For now, i have covered up his info until i know something can be done, otherwise he might some how get bothered/harassed and trace it back to me... I do not need my server or myself becoming a victim of countless attacks, I just want him banned, can i IP ban?? and how, he seems to change his PORT often, but IP the same. I'm not a computer/network guy, I just play games so im hoping for some good advice.

Hi everyone, this post is about a new server that is now up. As the name says, we are a chernarus server, and, we have bases set up all over the map, in these bases there are tents filled with loot, vehicles, buildings, etc. If you happen to come across one of these bases then feel free to claim it as your own! Coming soon, in the next few weeks we will be bringing in a lwhitelist, so apply now if you want you're place to be reserved! Now, for the part about clans, any group that wants to join our server can do normally, and play dayz as they normally would, with a few extra things which ill discuss after this. However, on the loading screen is a website where groups / clans can register and they are then given a few extras to help them out, first of all, by registering on the site, they can choose their own loadout for EVERY TIME they spawn! So, if you get killed by another group, you wont spawn with nothing as normal, but instead you will spawn with the loadout that you requested! Also, groups are given bases and their own private helicopter spawns within those bases! So, if your heli gets shot down in a fire fight, on the next restart it will respawn back in your base! Now for the new things that have been introduced to the map, first of all, we have built another airfield, its called the SW airfield and has some treats for those who go to it! At the NW airfield, there is a fun zone, with ramps and vehicles to do jumps over planes! Also, Skalisty Island has now been turned into a helicopter airbase! If you are a solo survivor, then you can still get access to all the same extras as groups, just register through the site and when you spawn, you will have the gear you chose! We are active admins, who are on the server daily, any problems which arise are dealt with quickly to ensure that everyone in our community gets to play problem free. We also hold tournaments for those online willing to participate, these can range from assaults on bases and cities, to races around the map, with whoever / whichever group winning earning themselves / their group valuable prizes! So come on over if you want this experience! I'm guessing the skins will not be in the SA, since that would seem to conflict with the fact that players can now change their appearance through a wide selections of clothing. What I think they should add, is some sort of karma system. It would work similar to the humanity system, but would be more developed. For example, killing another player wouldn't being a fixed penalty, but would instead depend on a variety of variables. First off, the system would need to be able to figure out who the aggressor is in a situation independent of who actually hits first. Ideally the system would be able to flag someone as an aggressor if all they do is fire at someone, even if the shot misses. A grouping mechanic would also need to be in the game, so that the aggressor flag could easily be spread or associated to a group of players that are travelling together. The aggressor flag would need to persist for several hours so that a griefer couldn't just keep using death to clear his flag. The system would then award or deduct karma points based on a bunch of different actions, such as... - Attacking an unarmed player = high negative karma - Attacking an unarmed player using a sniper rifle at long range = very high negative karma - Attacking a player that has been flagged as an aggressor against you = no negative karma - Attacking an armed player that you are in close proximity to and only just became aware of = minor negative karma - Destroying someone's tent (unless the owner is currently flagged as aggressive towards you) = moderate negative karma - Destroying a parked vehicle (unless the last person to exit the vehicle is flagged as aggressive towards you) = minor negative karma - Being near another player and not attacking them = minor additional karma (fixed max bonus per each unique player per server reset) - Giving medical treatment to another player = moderate additional karma - Surviving a day without ever earning the aggressor flag = minor additional karma - Accomplishing various PvE goals, i.e., repairing vehicles, clearing spawns, exploring different parts of the map = various additional karma A far as a player's karma score impacts them in the game, there would be several bonuses or penalties for high and low karma respectively... - A player with really high karma would spawn with slightly higher max blood and a slightly faster run speed. - A player with really low karma would always be flagged as the aggressor to other players, except for players he's grouped with. - A player with positive karma would who is killed would have an increased chance to respawn at a location closer to his corpse. - A player with negative karma would who is killed would have an increased chance to respawn at a location farther away from his corpse. ------------------- Regardless of what they do in the SA, though, there needs to be something to tone down the excessive level of killing on sight, banditry, and bambi hunting that's currently in the game. Anyone who says differently is either a griefer themself, or someone who plays on a low pop server. In a zombie survival game, the thing that kills players the most should be the zombies, but I'd be willing to bet that on the majority of high-pop servers, any players who's been player longer than a week gets killed by other players probably 10 times as often as by zombies. That right there is a problem.

And since there are no millitary vehicles or armored in dayz there is no need for these weapons. If fact, there is no real justification at all for keeping them in, as already mentioned, we removed the AS50 from our server and the game is much better for it, but some people don't care less about that and the crying here is simply self serving, or they just don't understand the issue. -

Pros: One shot, then reload means you can't go "Oh shit, I didn't line it up right, better put the whole clip downrange". Huge-ass bullet means it still works on vehicles. Cons: Looks stupid Freaking massive, good luck hiding with one Looks really stupid -

Hi a while back I had a private hive Dayz server but i had to cancel subscription for a few reasons. But now we are back and are hosting the original map Chernarus no extra or misplaced buildings just 300 vehicles including extras such as, a-10 jets and Apache helicopters. Global chat is allowed as long as theirs no violence or threats hope to see you there :) IP: 5.63.147.148:3000

How do you add vehicles to your DayZ.ST server EXACTLY where you want them?

I just can't figure this out. Using the Dayz.ST control panel is great. Especially for people not familiar with database work. What I started doing is placing vehicles in the map using the control panel map. This is great for general placement but if you want to put something right next to a building or anywhere exactly you're going to have to use the database. So I searched on how to do it. I found you can just spawn a car. Park it in the place you like and then get out and search the database to find it's exact worldspace coordinate. I just can't figure out how to get it working.. So my questions are..... Where in the database do I find a car that I have parked to get its worldspace coordinates? Where in the database do I place these coordinates to make the car spawn in the exact place I want? Thanks in advance? -

I don't think we should remove them, not one bit so. They would be present to some extent IRL, obviously, as has been mentioned. The ammo itself would actually be MORE common than it is now, because... .50 BMG is .50 BMG. Sure, there is specialized rifle ammo for the big-boy AMRs, but you can still strip the bullets out of 100rnd .50 belts for the M2 and shoot them out of an AMR. Which is something I want to see in the SA, putting bullets into magazines independently. The idea that I can have one round in an FAL magazine and nineteen in an M14 magazine, and I can't make either of them twenty. But the guns themselves might be a bit too common, especially since they seem more common than the SVD, which is carried by about 1 out of every ~75 WarPac infantrymen. The Soviets believed in organic marksman support even more than we do. And yes, I agree with getting a Russian one as well, obviously. Not the PTRD/PTRS, because that's not exactly something that would be around. That's the type of gun that only shows up behind museum glass, even the ridiculous hoarders in the Russian Army don't have them. And mind you, AK-47 serial number 1 is in a museum in Moscow, and AK-47 serial number 2 is in a warehouse somewhere. Maybe using the OSV-96 or the KSVK would be better. But still, keep them, even if we reduce the quantities, considering they're slightly more common than they really would be. But their presence on helicopter crashes especially is fine, because that type of rifle is frequently deployed on an aerial platform, to precisely neutralize vehicles' engines without (hypothetically) killing anyone. Coast Guard does it all the time. -

we are not releasing the .2 server files publicly. A future version will be made public for the server side. We have plans to change the map/game pretty drastically over the next month or two so it's kind of pointless to release until we have a more solid base of THAT build... not just rush out a functioning dayz port of the map sahrani... which is what it is now (with some added buildings, weapons, vehicles, AND game mechanics)... but it's no where near as far as we are going to take it. So for now it seems like the best choice to have it only released on the client side. This will change long term, it will be a public map/project.
