Hey! I have established myself in a heavily crowded server, built a base and stashed 3 vehicles there. However, i'm unsure about the *Save 'Vehicle name'* option. What exactly does it save? The location? Gear inside? Binds the vehicle to me? How often do I have to use the save option? I'm mostly concerned, because one of my vehicles just disappeared. I don't think it was stolen, because the tents full of goodies were untouched. I think the vehicle just respawned after a reset. I'm afraid that it will happen to my more valuable vehicles. Just basically elaborate me about the option :> Thanks!

So recently I started hosting my own DayZ private Hive. At the start I didn't have to save vehicles, but now if I don't save them they will go back to the last place where they were saved. I don't know if it has something to do with the 1.7.7.1 update or something else. Can this be fixed? If so, how? I am using http://www.vilayer.com/ to host and HeidiSQL Please help

Helicopters on vanilla dayzmod were usually used just by a few people/groups. They were hard to find, a pain to repair and impossible to hide and they were used to gather more loot and terrorizing the coast. And in this securety state of the game, the hackers would profit the most. How should you repair a chopper anyways? Carrying rotary parts and and a whole engine in a field backpack like back in the old dayz? Simple vehicles for the common players would be more fitable, bicycles, motorcycles, craftable stuff (could you theoreticly craft a bicylce?), easy to repair or even wheelbarrels would fitbetter. For modded servers helicopters/planes sure is a different story.

I was wondering how to get blown up vehicles to respawn at server restarts....I have full admin access to all my files just need someone to walk me through the details.

Hey Dayz community, Just wanted to report some strange behaviour, and maybe get some explanations / confirmations from other people. Thus far the following has been happening to me: I have been playing on NZ servers, v1.7.7.1 and I am mostly focussed on repairing vehicles. I set up a couple tents on a server, and repaired an ATV and parked it there. Also found a tractor and parked it there too. When the server restarted the tents, ATV and tractor that I had saved to a certain server were duplicated across ALL NZ servers. I can log into any server and sure enough my stuff will be there, and not to mention there are a bunch of weapons and items in these vehicles as well. So I have a DMR in the tractor, + over 10 servers, each with a tractor = I can server hop and get 10 DMRs... Then I repair an Offroader and park it at camp. Instead of it now being saved to / appearing on all servers like my other things, it has disappeared... obviously I assume it was stolen and my camp compromised... So I set up another camp, way out in the northern mountains where no one will find it, then I spend a ton of time finding and repairing another offroader and park it at my new camp. I log in this morning (to the same spot on a couple different servers), sure enough the tents have duplicated across servers, but the offroader is missing again. I don't understand what's going on. I'm pretty sure my vehicles are being deleted / reset back to spawn when the server resets, but why are my tents being copied onto different servers? Why is my tractor copied across multiple servers, but not my offroader? Is anyone else having similar issues? All I really care about is whether this is a bug or not, since that would mean finding / repairing vehicles is a waste of time as they'll just keep disappearing and I'll stop doing it. If someone is stealing my stuff, fine, I'll change camp sites again, hide things better, blah blah... But with the tent / tractor behaviour, something is definitely wrong with how the servers are treating certain objects... right?

Once upon a time, there was a group of friends who desperately wanted to excel in the wastelands. So they made a plan. To set up a base for all and collect vehicles for daring adventures was their goal, and one night, they set out to reach it. At a small airbase, one scouting party was astonished to find a Little Bird helicopter. Excitedly telling his friends of his discovering, one member of the group quickly set about fixing it, adding glass, a rotor, and scrap to the mix to make a perfect vehicle for himself and his friends. Finally, after over 48 hours of work, the band stood back and admired their work. It was beautiful, and they quickly made good use of its speed and nimble movement to find a Ural, artfully dodging bullets and bandits alike. They brought with them parts to the Ural, and breathed like into the hulk of a machine, and rolled it away from its resting place. as they brought it back into base, they pitched a tent, and downed a toast to their fine work. Then they retired for the evening, content with their mastery of the wastes, and ready to start new adventures the next time they could meet. However, all was not well. the server they were on had a problem with resets taking vehicles away, and as a member of said group logged on to admire the camp, and begin the days labors, he nearly screamed. All of their hard work was gone! The little bird and Ural had been spirited away by the servers reset, despite being hard saved, and the only thing remaining was a tent, untouched, and only containing paltry amounts of goods. He sat, and thought only of how robbed he was, and sobbed softly to himself as the images of his lost time and effort flashed before him. What had the wasteland become when the very fabric of the game, the reset, had robbed him and his friends? what had it become?

Dynamic Vehicle Spawning - Vehicles now spawn in random areas near buildings and roads. Dynamic Debris Spawning - Debris now spawns in random with loot. Debris Removal - You now have a chance to find a vehicle part when removing debris. Vehicle Ownership - Purchased vehicles come with a key that is used to lock/unlocked the vehicle. Cargo Check - Ability to check the free storage space available (Vehicles, Tents, Safes, etc). Salvage Parts - Remove wheels and window glass from vehicles. Siphon Fuel - Fill Empty Jerry Cans on vehicles if they have enough fuel. More Player Clothing - Loads of player clothes. Play as infected - Die while infected and you will return as a random infected player. Photos Coming Soon How to install It is really easy to install just follow the instructions below. 1. Title is the suggestion. Shooting in the vehicles is highly needed.

What about adding 2 extra parameters to the vehicles. (cars, choppers, motorbikes) First of all, it would need 2 extra parameters (database change) : - OIL level - Motor parts condition ( should not be defined on detail level, like spark plugs, carburator). What I am aiming for in this parameter is how dirty or rusty they are. basically one parameter called "engine maintenance" The above could have 3 main levels (reached by the analogue meter, just like how the fuel meter work. But you only see it when checking the vehicles engine) with oil level: 1. very low, 2. low and 3. okay with motor parts condition: 1. very dirty, 2. dirty, 3. okay The consequences of low levels of one or both parameters could be: starting problems (with some smoke ;) ) . Driving slower. Engine shutting off when running stationary too long. Or at very low level oil, the engine could catch fire. or just not starting at all, when all levels are very low. That way we could have a bit more vehicles on the map, without too much in good condition. Plus it's something extra to worry about.

We enjoy the game and the fluidity of vehicles for what they are. They think they're bouncers in charge of this forum just cause they hang around non-stop complaining, posting excessively. Entitlement at its finest. I second your congratulations to Bohemia. Wonderful job you're doing exactly everything you should! They really gave us the survival game of our dreams. Only some insignificant kinks to iron out at this point. We know the vehicles will be perfectly polished by end of 2022 with the hard work you're doing!
