Check out this server. It's worth it. High FPS (even with all this added) ( IP & PORT 192.99.18.169:2342 ) -New traders on the coast (selling/buying-vehicles, guns, skins, drinks) Now you don't have to run up north. Just loot and make your way to a coastal trader. -Mountains and caves everywhere with barracks and loot hidden inside. -21 Caves around the map that you can build a base in. -Secret trader (Somewhere on the map is a secret trader that sells new weapons, combos, chainsaws....etc) -New City bigger than cherno. -New cities and towns. (I didn't just throw down some roads and buildings and call it a town. I put a lot of work into the detail and I hope you enjoy it and get that feeling when you first played chernarus) -All major cities and towns look different. With new buildings and objects added that aren't originally in Chernarus. (The goal was to make Chernarus feel new again and make you feel lost again.) -New Airfield way up north (guarded by Ai foot patrol, Ai paratroopers, Ai M2 tripod gunner, and Ai heli patrol) -New Military outposts/bases with Ai (guarding gun/gold/building supply boxes) -Ai missions -Ai in Cherno, Bolota, NWAF...etc -We have TeamSpeak and a forums -If you are looking for a challenge, this is your server! okay the game is doing great ! B) we approaching 1.5 million in sales ca-ching :D so...with the game doing so well sales wise and a decent sized dev team and studio behind the game now can we have some updates on the main core features and any projections or pointers to when and how the real meat in the game or you may call it game content is being added? this isnt a i want it now, im happy to wait. i just would like to know what is going to be done roughly or a idea on what is planned. alot of people are waiting for these particular , bases or base building and vehicles. B) those two are what most people are really waiting before getting there teeth into Dayz in current state/build. now...as i pointed out we believe in the game, we brought into the concept we paid in we have brought 1.5 million copies of Dayz ! dayz has got tripple a title kind of money in now so work rate needs to be upped.you cant just farm out small items with the money thats flowing in now.i know recent updates have been frequent but they have mainly been small items. so can we know about such vital game mechanics ? dont need to know exact dates, it isnt a dummy out the pram i want now. its just a rough time frame or somekind of outlining to what is being done on these two massive game features which most people are frantically waiting for. the last thing is personally seen ,read on this topic was on reddit and was a single sentance which mentioned upto 6 months over a month ago. i dont know how many others feel but hats and small items arnt going to cut it for another 6 months before those key features are added.many will be bored by then. so can we please be updated on these features thankyou. :)

The title is a bit of sarcasm. Based on the response from Impulz to my and others arguments within the Experimental thread, I have moved the conversation about just how awful vehicles are in their current state here. Console players, feel free to join in as I know you guys are suffering as well. My entire argument is we have been told that vehicles would be fixed and let's hope before the end of the year as it was pointed out by Parazight that support for the game lasts through the end of this year and we have not been told if BI will support it further. Vehicles have been broken for years and little if anything has been done to address the issue. This is fact, nobody should blow up over this statement as a given truth about DayZ. In general, vehicles work OK as long as the pop stays low and their are not a lot of bases in the vehicle vicinity. But vehicles can and will move around even on low pop servers. If two people are in a vehicle and one has a crappy internet connection, in my experience in particular if it is the driver, you can expect to be launched and die eventually. Many community servers are using mods to work around the terrible results from the current vehicle implementation. They use mods like "No Vehicle Damage" or "Car Cover" to keep vehicles from getting destroyed along with their occupants/gear and to remove the vehicle from the simulation so it doesn't move around or disappear until you are ready to use it. The purpose for this thread is for the community to demonstrate just how horrible vehicles are so that new players thinking about buying DayZ can look at what BI calls a finished product and understand just exactly what they will be getting into. So feel free to post videos and tell us your horrible vehicle stories. I would encourage community server admins and hosters to put their two cents in as well. If you've experienced nothing but good things about vehicles, then feel free to tell us. To help gather information, please include what the server pop was, were their bases nearby, did people have crappy internet? As much detail as possible. Hey guys, i hadn't played the mod for a very long time ( 10/15hrs at max) and i was truly enthralled by the vehicles. All of them felt good for me, and had a really nice drive with quite a high amount of work ( and as such food and drink) to put into them just to get them to run. I really loved this and it was my main agenda, to get a working vehicle, and when i did it was such a thrill. I currently had a massive power spike and could go anywhere and take on anyone just due to my pure mobility and flexability i had from them. And i ask to you, GD , what do you want The developers to do in terms of mod/ new vehicles. TL:DR : felt like a hero with a cape , jax hitting 6, waking up before the alarm went off. and ask you, what do you want devs to do with cars in mod/ SA

Ummm... the flying vehicle issue in Reforger is TOTALLY different than DayZ. Since BI doesn't communicate with it's community any longer the best theory going is this is a bug where if the driver disconnects while currently moving the vehicle will maintain velocity and continue to move in the direction it was until another player gets in the driver seat to resume physics simulation ecause even after the player leaves, the vehicle does not return to the server's ownership and continues to give the player ownership and, in doing so, input even though they no longer exist. Completely different from waht is happening in DayZ where vehicles are client side PERIOD as it exists today. Seriously, I jsut want to see them fix something of substance in DayZ. The 1.18 patch does not address Vehicles or even more importantly, Server Exploits. -
This in today's Reforger patchnotes: Fixed: Vehicles would be left in undefined state if their driver’s game session terminated unexpectedly (“the flying vehicle” issue) Took them two hotfixes... So, when will testing of the imported Enfusion physics to DayZ start? February 10th you said "in the coming weeks". No surprise that it has taken longer, and I don't mind waiting, but could we please get a bit of communication about the whys and hows of the delay? Pretty please with sugar on top? @Kyiara @ImpulZ

Hi, I´ve playing DayZ SA for almost 2 months now and what is pissing me apart from bandits that instead of talking just shoot is that there isn´t any bicycle or similar like in the mod. Anyone knows something related to vehicles being introduce to the game?

So, I was checking out DayZ TV.com and ran into this.. <snip> Not sure what to make of it, or even is this if official. Hoping a dev or a mod can maybe chime in. But it does show a UAZ in what does appear to be the Standalone version of DayZ. As nice as it would be to see vehicles in DayZ, I do think this may be faked, or someone figured out how to port vehicles into DayZ SA from the leftover files..

If anyone is interested I run a Dayz server called DreadZ, Anyone is welcome and I can assure you that it's fair and friendly (as friendly as Dayz can be I suppose). I run the server the way I like it as a player...medium population, under 50 vehicles, with hacker protection and no modified spawns. I can't stand these servers where admins abuse their panels or every player has a helicopter and a DMR. I just want to enjoy Dayz for what it is, and if that sounds like you too then I invite you to stop on by the server! If not that's fine too...more beans for me. We now have a website, including high scores and a deadliest player alive feature! Check it out! I've had a modded server for years, but suddenly, with the 1.17 patch my Dex storage boxes are disappearing. Looks like they are getting picked up by the cleanup scripts suddenly, and I'm not sure how to stop the cleanup scripts from cleaning these items. My types are set to 999999999999 like my tents and other containers. I've tried specifying them as <horder> items in the config spawnable types file as well. Any advice for keeping storage containers perisistent on the server? I'm having no issues with tents or barrels or other DayZ in-game containers. Only the modded items. Hello DayZ Forum! My buddy, Mr.Snatchit just started a brand new DayZ Epoch server! We don't have a ton of players on the server right now but we usually have 5+ members on at all time which is why I'm trying to get your help! The server IP is: 107.150.34.194:2382 The TeamSpeak IP is: ts3.hfbservers.com:10084 The server has over 300 vehicles so it's not terribly hard to find yourself a car! Our server has increased loot spawns so you will find yourself finding more weapons and ammo! All of our admins are above the age of 16 and are not abusive. They are reasonable and they love to help out as much as they can. This server is very custom and quite a bit different than any other server. If you need any help getting used to anything, contact one of our helpful moderators or admins in game and they would be more than happy to help you! All that you need to do to help us is play!
