What would be a realistic level of stamina/run time?

I would not mind a slower running speed. But maybe that should wait untill there are basic vehicles in the game to serve as an alternative to walking. Also we need a toggleable "run" key, keeping w pressed can become quite a chore after some time. -

Even when they add vehicles (if that is fun for you) I wouldn't find occupation for more than two hours lol. It's only a game, plus I don't get bored THAT fast.

I mean seriously, would you rather they push out some piece of garbage so that you can have more gun, bases and vehicles or try to fix the existing issues like Ai pathing, wall glitches and unlimited ammo clips and the other issues? The game is stuck in alpha for the foreseeable future, all we can do is give feed back instead of ermahgerd this game sucks cause I can't have more stuff. And yes OpTic_Polar I am grown up, just tired of you kids and your need it now mentality. Put on your big boy pants and help out or move along

Here is the second update this time there are alot that we fixed and added, thanks to our new test server we can safely test everything and take our time working on the server. New Things , no longer do you have to sell all those guns one by one. added Loading screen. Harvest able hemp, you can now harvest weed from the weed farm marked on the map. (You need a hunting Knife) Smoke weed by right clicking on it. Traders Sell your weed at the blackmarket. Fixes No longer able to tow locked vehicles. Ikea mission to many metal floors. Walk amongst the dead should work again. cannot load texture ca/misc3/wf/data/black popup no longer shows. FHQ_XM2010_SD_BASE removed was cuasing all kinds of problems. Detaining no longer works in safezones. -

Admins that hack themselfs gear constantly and hackers that blow up my base and vehicles multiple times put me right off Epoch -
I would love to be able to grab a plow to put on the front of my truck, maybe some Iron plated windows to prevent bullets blowing my head off why im driving lol and of course the ability to eventually attach a big gun or even have a gunner seat for a friend to blow people to little red chunks lol. I really hope to see these sort of attachments when the big vehicles are introduced and hopefully the DEVS take it even further in the future.

My friend, with all due respect this thread is nearly two years old! the mod has come a long way since then... If you hate running try overwatch, you can instantly build yourself a bike there, and plenty much vehicles lying around, and then theres epoch where the zeds are about as deadly as a drunken bum staggering around... Its 2014 and you have options now ;)

Introduction Thanks for checking out our thread. DayZcraft is a newly launched community founded around previous groups playing on the old BSB Network clan servers. After months of playing on various well populated public servers (and endless heartache after experiences and disappointments of poor administration, hacking problems and general poor conduct!) we decided to formalise our various groups into one single public community comprised of many individuals, clans and groups all centred around balanced gaming with transparent and fair administration. As a community we're made up of adult gamers (30s, 40's and olders!!!) who have supported DayZ since the very beginning. We have experienced admins and limited access moderators to reduce accusations of admin abuse etc. We welcome all mature and fair players who are cap able of following basic common sense rules. We're based largely in the UK and surrounding EU countries and all speak English and all love a bit of good natured banter as we play! What We Offer We offer a community that is deducted to DayZ and associated mods. Our selling point is our fair play and common sense. Initially the community is geared heavily around Epoch, providing two established Epoch servers that are open to the public and a free public Teamspeak 3 server for comms. We also offer a website for bugs/player reporting and public chat etc. We plan to expand our server support (and invite other adult and respectable server admins to become a part of our community) and also expand into other "flavours" of Day Z and associated mods sucha s Stand alone, Breaking Point, A3 2017 and Epoch A3. Playing Epoch with friends until the Standalone is more fleshed out. I personally prefer the Standalone at the moment, but my group of friends are very stupid about the vehicles and zombies walking through walls so, here we are. -
BF4 re-used almost everything from BF3, they just designed new maps, added some new guns & vehicles, and added 100% more lens flare. Keep in mind, also, that BF4 was developed by a much larger team, on a much larger budget, and had all of the problems it did on the full release (DayZ is still in Alpha). You're attempting to equate making new firearms with designing an entire system of base construction and vehicles. Sure, weapons need a good deal of modelling and coding, but that's almost nothing compared to the much larger buildings and vehicles, which also have to be modeled and given their own systems, proper physics and animations, tweaked to prevent odd bugs, and then implemented without placing a large amount of stress on the server, which constructions & vehicles would place a lot of on. The team can't work on all of these things right off the bat, and it's not like all of them do the necessary work (Artists don't do codework, etc.) and even then, they can't all be working on it at once, so do you just expect them to do nothing until one team is done with their part of the vehicle/building? Besides, you're already getting killed on sight, it's not like adding new guns is going to change the frequency of getting killed, just the variety of weapons you'll end up getting killed with. And to go further, the MP-133 is a pump-action shotgun, a kind of weapon we don't have in DayZ yet, so it's adding something to the game and isn't redundant. Cancer and heart disease are huge problems in the world today, but does that really mean that everyone in every government should devote all of their money and people? (Not just the doctors and scientists who research to cure them, but also soldiers, ambassadors, police officers, fire fighters, tax collectors, construction workers, and even mail men, because all of them are obviously qualified to work on said problems).

New vehicles have already been setup on the hive. Servers running 1.8.0.3 may have errors during launch.

Yeah, I understand. But would you really use the gas for powering a fence, instead of driving/powering vehicles? I mean, gas is very rare, since it isn't produced anymore... So being mobile and having a vehicle is much better than securing a fence in an apocalypse, IMO. (But that's just ma opinion, your argument still stands ;) )
