I know that. My point is that this is a release thread, which starts off by documenting what has been fixed. It vehicles are not mentioned, then adding a +1 to the 5 year old pile of complaints doesn't help.

I have only been playing game for few weeks and before the update came out some things was fine and some wasn’t but what I’ve noticed since update not sure if it’s happening on pc and xbox but on playstation if you build 1and half walls high and try take the nails off the 2nd wall you simply can’t I’ve tried everything I can but can’t find a fix so now my base has bunch of nails and even in some cases planks just floating around my base. vehicles...Don’t even know where to begin with them they are that bad in the game! Best option don’t get in a car or truck cause it simply won’t last long and you die or your pretty much constantly flying in the air or under the map also fix them from despawn if constantly when they are parked near a building or some sort of wall. Let’s not forget to mention the mic problem... may aswell run around the map shouting where your base is probably the best use you’ll get out of it while it’s broke. All I can say is what the actual fuck have they done to the game now, makes the game completely unplayable...now I can see the bigger picture of why they realeased the game with so many problems....Money hungry!! Any other game developer would not realease a game with this many problems unless they hungry for money but hey it’s all about money these days we put our money and time into a game just to get absolutely terrible things thrown in our face all the community ask for is too FIX THE GOD DAMN FUCKING GAME from what I’ve been seeing it’s been broken for the past 5 years or so Everyone simply needs boycott them till they fix the game properly like what the actual fuck are we meant to do with a shitty smg and completely useless alarm clock (my opinion) and all the other useless shît in the game £48 spent on a game a kid could make better Thumbs down to this game company rant over 😂

Are there server exploits for finding vehicles, because I swear no matter how well I stash one… another survivor finds it almost immediately. For instance, we found an M3S — put wheels and battery in her, drove to an extremely remote location that was near no civilization whatsoever, and within a very short amount of time as I was setting up a medium tent in the woods I heard the engine start and it got stolen. I pulled the battery and my friend logged off with it. We were parked over an hour’s walk away from spawn points in the middle of the woods. How the fuck did someone find the truck and happen to have a truck battery on them!?

You need to put water in the radiator. The car may show the water level as full in a normal world, but this is dayz world and as such most vehicles have this dial backwards. If the needle is pointing right the radiator is empty, pointing left and it is full. You need to be at least half full of water to not damage the engine. The gasoline dial works correctly (right full, left empty).

I try to trap alot of rabbits for food. Wire seems scarce these days. Got me thinking of alternative sources. Rummaging through wrecks for scrap wire could be a neat feature. Perhaps not as strong as snare wire but still useful to trap with.

Fair enough, but to me it seems like they are confident in it this time. I mean they are porting the new enfusion vehicle simulation thingy to dayz... if their new engine can't handle vehicles, then it's a big F. -
So still no change with the flying vehicles? Flying bears? Bears glitching through walls? Weapons glitching through the body while stowed on back?

So you stick my kam in contaminated zones then reduces the power of my m4? What are you guys playing at? Shouldnt you be doing something constructive like i dunno fixing the constant game crashes on the xbox or maybe adding more things to the base building menu. Or how about explaining why the infected can climb over/through player created walls. Or perhaps shal we dare say fix the vibrating dancing through you through the game map vehicles?

There needs to be the ability to pull unconscious or dead players out of vehicles. Currently there is no way to help an unconscious friend who in a vehicle, you can't bandage them or administer aid. Getting in a vehicle and occupying the same seat kicks dead players out (have not tested on unconscious) but that is more of a glitch than a feature. It is also not useful if you don't have the required amount of players to fill the available seats (for instance the back of a truck, the upcoming bus etc). The ability to administer aid/interact with a player who is in a vehicle without them needing to get out (provided you have direct access to them) would be nice as well.

Vehicles , first iteration. (Experimental) I wanted to preface this, as we are going out with vehicles this soon into their implementation, only to be sure that performance impact is as expected and we can continue on this course. Currently the vehicles (as a feature) are very rough, however the underlying structure is there. Ranging from visual bugs, to physics issues. You can expect anything. We are aware of most of them. Although the data for parts and some tech is there, the systems need to be configured. You can expect to drive the vehicle, use it for transport of you and your codriver from point A to point B. However for this experimental you dont need to repair anything and you can find vehicles easily. This will not be the case later in their development. We increased the number of available vehicles by a great amount so you can have fun and break them. Many issues are part of polish that will happen over time. Some of them are critical, thus will have higher priority. Please use our feedback tracker for any specific cases, with as much data as possible. It does help. Now to the core of the problems that you can expect with explanation of each and every one (Most of the systems have been rewritten and the development time has been invested into having proper underlying tech for the modules of the new engine) 1. Animations Wheels overturning is visual bug with animation source and simulation itself . Its annoying, however we do have to ignore it for this experimental. As for other animation bugs. We removed the move in/move out animation for the release and will fix the issues we were having with its implementation. The wheel and doors are animated however the visuals themselves might change. 2. Ragdoll/Collision/Physics Most of it is tuning of all the knobs (weight,suspension,force, and a lot more etc.) and finding solutions for problems that are out of the normal range. The results can be go from minor to catastrophic, like, vehicle moving from shooting, player force moving a vehicle, not having right friction and sliding improperly,getting stuck and killing the codriver sometimes. But than again its just tuning (and that takes time). The system is there and its robust (bullet sdk). Some of it is rare, some of it is much more common. Just understand that it will be better in next few weeks 3. Damage system The vehicle can be damaged , however its rather rudimentary and only a placeholder effect. With more advanced underlying tech introduced later. 4. Driving model The driving model (sliding and general feel of driving) is again matter of tuning. The underlying system is there and it works well. But it needs more time and dedicated work for the feel to get right. That is a big part of our work on vehicles. 5. Clipping Expect a lot of clipping issues with player gear and objects around in the game. It can range from minor to major issues. 6. Sounds All sounds are placeholders before we set up a proper recording of v3s. 7. Persistence Cars will be persistent in the future (once they are made of parts and repaired). This implementation however focuses more on data gathered from any desync or interaction with network code. 8. Crashes Client crashes can happen, and will happen. Be aware that you can run the client with the option of -dologs to create crash dumps that can be attached to feedback issues. If you do encounter them please report and give us as much information as you can. I will try to answer some questions but I do have and update to prepare so please be patient.

Bicycles, dirt bikes, helicopters, airplanes etc etc will not be part of DayZ in the foreseeable future. The reason is not that the devs don't want it, it's because the DayZ devteam is not assigned the resources it would need to implement the necessary systems into the engine. If and when DayZ is shifted to full Enfusion that will change things, but current development is purely stability, life support and minor content implementation. They (the DayZ devs) have said numerous times that there will be no major graphical overhauls or changes to the game's physics. That means no flying vehicles, no two-wheeled vehicles, no ragdoll physics, no volumetric clouds, no lighting improvements. It sucks - but it is what it is. BI are focused on building Enfusion to have a platform for the next Arma. DayZ is a guilty pleasure and not likely to be allowed to get all the nice stuff before the flagship Arma... As for new vehicles I expect they will eventually add the old transit bus and perhaps the s1203 van, as well as a couple of more V3S variants (chassis & open flatbed). Since two-wheelers are no-go for the above mentioned reasons, I hope they will consider adding quadbikes too at some point.

Dirt bikes would be cool, but adding vehicles isn't a priority for them I assume. There are much bigger issues they need to solve first.

I only say that when the armchair internet developers all claim that every fix is easy and could be done in a week. As for the rest of your comments, I agree. We waited patiently during the last 18 months when there were bugfixes and small changes. I want BI to dedicate resources to the big problems (vehicles and now security). These are engine level issues that I suspect the current team isn't well versed or isn't allowed to change. I don't care if we don't get a release until the summer. I could care less about guns since they all go pew, pew, pew. I haven't even tried the alarm clock - does it attract the infected? cute, interesting... I guess.
