OK... so the new physics engine is in place. There are a crap ton of community servers that are possibly going to suffer worse now with this engine switch. Vehicles and security exploits have been my main problem with DayZ, and while supposedly making vehicles try to run better with an engine switch, it better not be a final step. We need some optimizations done on the server exe.

I was playing the game "Unturned", and while it is largely lacking in features, graphics, etc., there was one thing I took away from that game. You had the ability to shoot from your vehicle as a passenger, I know my friends and I have been hoping ever since they decided to do the standalone that vehicles would get an overhaul, and that being able to fire from inside a vehicle would eventually become a reality. Have the developers said anything about this, or has anyone asked them in one of their dev streams? I'm very interested to hear if this is something they are considering/working on.

So my clan plays on this server. We thought it would be worth it to post an honest review of the server here. So far we have been playing for about 2 and a half weeks and we have a decent base setup. The admins here are real and play legit the server population needs a jump start to grow. The prices here certainly match the vehicles. By that I mean a BTR60 for example is rather pricey. It evens out to be 4 rubies which translates to 48 briefcases essentially. You can get a brief or 2 at most missions. There is usually 2 or 3 missions up at a time. Third thread over the last 2 days but i'm curious.. I did play the Arma 2 mod and there were vehicles on there but i haven't come across on any vehicles on here, will vehicles be put on here soon?

My suggestions is inspired by two videos by brian hicks. He said that he would like to see no more than 10 vehicles per server. And a lot of people don't agree with that, they would rather see 50-100 vehicles per server but only enough resources to fix 10-20 of them. Brain has addressed this saying > You have to be very consciences when you approach something like that to consider how the players will meta game it. If the vehicles are everywhere and the items spawn in limited quantity, you are going to see people who are going to look for methods to exploit the system and meta game it, whether that be server hopping empty servers for parts, figuring out ways to duplicate the item etc. Moving it to a controlled low spawn separate system from loot and something that CANNOT transfer between servers controls that experience significantly better than having it be common vehicles and rare items because items by design transfer across servers. So this is my suggestion to satisfy both sides and imo, greatly improve the feel of the world. -------------- Two types of vehicles. Drivable - Non drivable. Drivable vehicles would be rare, no more than 10 per server and they would often spawn damaged. Just as vehicles always have. Non drivable vehicles would be more common, much more common 50-100 per server but they would be in such a state that they could never be repaired. Some of the conditions these vehicles would be found in are - Completely totaled on a building or into a tree at the side of a road - anywhere Burnt - anywhere Shot up by military - near military bases Full of dead zombies and rotting flesh - mostly in cities Rusting to pieces - near the coast or in the woods Each type of wreck could spawn different loot. You couldn't take tires from a burnt car but you might salvage an engine part. You couldn't take windows from a shot up car but you might get one from a car full of dead zombies/rotting flesh. They could also spawn regular loot of all kinds. A totalled car at the side of the road might have a corpse in the front seat and some gear in the boot for example. To even further dilute the amount of parts you could make it so you need specific car parts for different cars, you couldn't take a wheel from a bus and put it on your hatch back for example. ----------- Spawning - There are three ways I see for vehicles to spawn. 1. The same way helicopters do. I like this because it means the loot is never in the same place. Though it would mean that crash sites and vehicles change which would seem odd. 2. Static. All vehicles spawn in the same place but scavenging parts is difficult. Low spawn rate and high demand. Each time the server restarts 25% of the vehicles could spawn parts (or something to that effect) 3. A mix of both systems, 50 static vehicles and 10 or 20 random spawns that will have fresh loot making it more difficult to farm them. Vehicle parts would have to be specific to each server as Hicks said. ---------- I think that fixing a vehicle shouldn't be something you can do in a day, you should be salveging parts from different cars all over the place and stashing them away in caches, hiding spots and tents. What do you guys think? I apologize for any formatting mistakes, I'll try fix them if/when they pop up, haven't used forums in a long time

Its an overpoch on chernarus. Custom additions to every city! I have WAI and DZMS installed so Lots of missions to do. Ikea missions as well as Treasure missions that spawn rare guns like the as50 and L85 Thermal! Free base building starter kit for joining the server! Building supplies are cheap and maintenance is free!. Snapbuilder Pro makes building a base easy! Random spawning weed fields that you can harvest, smoke and sell. God mode from locked vehicles and in safe zones. Auto-refuel and Self-bloodbag. Increased loot spawns and over 250 vehicles! No Lag great FPS on the server! Server IP: 192.111.147.34:3801

They added vehicles spawns but no vehicles???? i was looking forward to them so me and my crew could go on an adventure to the southern parts of the map seeing as we stick around the novo region and have slowly started migrating south but the trip seems very daunting to walk all that way.

I found an amazing DayZ Epoch Napf server I'm currently playing with my friends, We have had amazing experiences already tho we have only played aproximately a day. It's based on Napf map that is found in arma files so you don't have to download another map for this one. Really friendly based community I made 4 player and 1 group encounter and none of them ended up with a shoot out. I'm here marketing the server because it needs more players. will other ATV's/small vehicles be added besides 4-wheelers and motorcycles?

Hi guys, I simply have a question about ATV's and other smaller vehicles when they will be added. I know 4 wheelers and motorcycles are already confirmed, but are other types of ATV's and small vehicles going to be added too? I have some suggestions for others I think should be added besides just 4 wheelers and motorcycles. I will include basic description and picture of each one. We are a very very friendly staff team there is no admins getting killed and shutting down the server we accept the fact that we died. We have added buildings, camps, outposts and airfields to make your DayZ Overpoch experience great. We have added weapons, ammo, and building supplies to our traders. We have a pretty decent player base. We have a very active admin team that has experience with what we're doing. I'm pretty sure the vehicles spawn with a random amount of things on them so finding them with nothing is possible.
