Hi. Is anyone having issues with the vehicles becoming damaged just through driving (overall car health and spark plug)? Is this a new mechanic? Any input is most appreciated, many thanks.

I love the Surviving Chernarus - DayZ Live Action Trailer from PS4 launch This trailer gets me hyped to play every-time I watch it. There’s some footage of cool ideas that could be added to the game. 1) Be able to shoot weapons from inside vehicles, right now survivors in cars are just mobile targets with zero defense 2) Have more God Rays, Denser Fog and atmospheric effects as seen in the trailer 3) Introduce cool ballistic face masks like this chap is wearing 4) Add option to stab survivors with weapons, like a critical-hit, and release grip so the blade stays inside victim causing more damage over time and bleeding. When survivors rip the blade out they take shock damage that may cause them to pass-out. 5) Load-up troops on the trucks as an option, right now only 2 can sit inside main cabin -Cheers

When will helicopters be implemented in vanilla ?

Helicopters on vanilla dayzmod were usually used just by a few people/groups. They were hard to find, a pain to repair and impossible to hide and they were used to gather more loot and terrorizing the coast. And in this securety state of the game, the hackers would profit the most. How should you repair a chopper anyways? Carrying rotary parts and and a whole engine in a field backpack like back in the old dayz? Simple vehicles for the common players would be more fitable, bicycles, motorcycles, craftable stuff (could you theoreticly craft a bicylce?), easy to repair or even wheelbarrels would fitbetter. For modded servers helicopters/planes sure is a different story. -
butt packs aren't accessible on character and cant hold to drop things out of vehicles ps4

Don't worry about him...he just likes to complain a lot. People like us come here periodically for updates and then have busy lives in the meantime. We enjoy the game and the fluidity of vehicles for what they are. They think they're bouncers in charge of this forum just cause they hang around non-stop complaining, posting excessively. Entitlement at its finest. I second your congratulations to Bohemia. Wonderful job you're doing exactly everything you should! They really gave us the survival game of our dreams. Only some insignificant kinks to iron out at this point. We know the vehicles will be perfectly polished by end of 2022 with the hard work you're doing! Heck, Forza in a massive open-world survival game? What more could one ask for?

Lead dev admitted in an interview a couple of years ago that all plans for flying vehicles had been permanently scrapped due to lack of resources. They simply didn't have the manpower to implement the necessary physics. Now they are currently working on moving over a newer version of vehicle physics from the current version of Enfusion, whether this will include support for other vehicle types than regular cars is another question. Personally I think the maps in DayZ are simply too small for flying vehicles, but I would very much like to see boats and bikes implemented at some point. -

Indeed there are tons of monetised servers out there and for some unfathomable reason they attract a large number of players, who pay for priority queues and god knows what. I'd never ever set foot on a server like that even if they paid ME for it... As for performace - I never said I only play Spaggies. I hop on Spaggie servers whenever I feel like playing vanilla, since official are unplayable. I have occasionally noted a bit of door lag on full servers, but never rubber banding. Rubber banding is a high ping symptom, whenever you see another player rubber banding you know they have a crap connection to the server. Doesn't even have to mean their own connection is crap - but for some reason their connection with the server results in high ping and packet loss. When that happens stay clear of vehicles... -
Agree 100% Been saying this for ages. If and until a fix comes out for the desynch issues and bad physics simply make the vehicles and occupants more durable so they won't be the instant game ruiner they currently are.

There's a variety of items for vehicle maintanance in DayZ, but most of them never see any use. When you crash a car in DayZ even at lower speeds, there is still a good chance you will ruin the engine, the front tires ruin or a bodypart ruins. In my opinion this needs to be changed. We have a pipe wrench, a tire repair kit and epoxy putty in game yet you rarely get to use these as the vehicles are way too fragile and engine, tires and bodyparts will just straight up break beyond the point of repair in most crashes. The way I would balance this is make vehicles with a damaged engine have less power and traction, damaged tires would make your vehicle hard to control, and using epoxy putty on a bodypart would leave visual patches of white epoxy on the bodypart similar to how the damage texture is applied. Your car and it's parts wouldn't break as easily, but instead suffer from negative effects when damaged. Next to the vehicles being buggy, I think this is another point why many people don't touch the vehicles. They are simply too fragile, especially considering any desync will really mess them up if you crash. 😅

Lots of custom clothes and furniture , there are traders but 0 stock, they can only be stocked by the player, food is rare too, so get your hunting skills up. English Good afternoon community. I have suggestions for the game (finish a couple of elements): 1) Implement shooting from vehicles. (There are a couple of implementation options in my head. 1. By allowing the use of a certain class of items in vehicles (people will be able to get weapons and point them inside vehicles). 2. Through a new action like "press the x button to shoot" after which the player will lean out the window like in pubg. 2) Add the ability to "fix" on vehicles (possibly in certain places other than seats, so as not to add 1 option. If this does not seem fair or appropriate, then in addition to "fixing" you can increase the incoming collision damage for such players. 3) Add the ability to attach a camouflage net, a canister (can be fixed inside the trunk), etc. to the transport. 4) Increase the number of vehicles on the map and its variety (I know how problematic it is, but it is very necessary) 5) Increase interactivity on the map. Example: 1. Give the opportunity to play the piano in some buildings (although, to be honest, there will most likely be pianos in a post-Soviet country). 2. Add the ability to climb fire poles. 3. Give the ability to arrange objects as buildings (change their place, rotate, put on shelves in ordinary buildings). 4. allow you to leave notes (at least for a couple of hours) 5. give the opportunity to write books 6) Add variety to the construction site. You don't need to add much. Example : 1. Remove the hole in the tower when building a floor, let it appear when building a staircase. 2. У меня есть предложения по игре (доделать пару элементов): 1) Реализовать стрельбу из транспорта. (В голове есть пара вариантов реализации. 1. Разрешив использование определенного класса предметов в транспортных средствах (люди смогут получать оружие и наводить его внутри транспортных средств). 2. Через новое действие типа "нажми кнопку x, чтобы выстрелить" после которого игрок будет высовываться в окно как в pubg. 2) Добавить возможность "фиксировать" на транспортных средствах (возможно в определенных местах кроме сидений, чтобы не добавлять 1 вариант . Если это покажется не справедливым или уместным, то помимо "фиксации" можно увеличить входящий урон от столкновения для таких игроков. 3) Добавить возможность прицепить к транспорту маскировочную сетку, канистру (можно закрепить внутри багажника) и тд. 4) Увеличить количество транспорта на карте и его разнообразие (знаю как это проблемно, но очень нужно) 5) Увеличить интерактивность на карте. Пример: 1. Дать возможность играть на пианино в некоторых зданиях (хотя, если честно, в постсоветской стране, скорее всего, будут пианино). 2. Добавить возможность спускаться по пожарным столбам. 3. Дать возможность расставлять предметы как постройки (менять их место, вращать, ставить на полки в обычных постройках). 4. дать возможность оставлять заметки (хотя бы на пару часов) 5. дать возможность писать книги 6) Добавьте разнообразия стройке . Вам не нужно добавлять много. Пример : 1. Убрать дыру в башне при постройке этажа, пусть появится при постройке лестницы. 2. Позвольте строительным объектам удерживаться вместе для более ровной сборки. 3. Добавить возможность редактирования размеров забора при разметке (изменение ширины, высоты) 4. Увеличить здоровье заборов и прочего в 1,5 - 2 раза (это очень нужно ванильным игрокам) 5. Добавить возможность заколотить окна (хотя 3 подпункт может заменить это) 6. Пусть у игроков будет выбор, что строить на башне (пол или крышу) Спасибо, что прочитали это. Я надеюсь, что это дойдет до нужных людей.

Hello everyone. So I bought DayZ yesterday.. decided to get the original game after a little "tryout" on cracked version. I absolutely fel in love with the game so me and my friend, we decided to get own server. I got some experience with games and modding after playing Valheim, Conan Exiles and Skyrim with mods, so we really wanted some extra features. We got like 11 mods on the server, everything runs smooth except one issue. And that drives us crazy - theres no "start engine" option after we enter a vehicle. First I thought its just one bugged vehicle, but then I found another one and there was the same issue.. when u enter the car, theres just one option and thats exiting the car. Simply no way to start its engine. And yes... all vehicle parts are pristine. Nothing is damaged nor ruined. Spark plugs, radiator filled with water, battery fully charged, got enough fuel, the car is pristine! - even got both lights working ^^ Aaaanyway.. i did some research and when I spawn the vehicle via Community online tools mod as admin, the car is fully operational. Sooo.. im wondering if thats not an issue caused by some mod on the server. Mods list: Trader, CF, Dabs Framework, DayZ Expansion ( + Core, Licensed, Vehicles and Book), Community online tools, IRP Land Rover Defender 110, Windstrides Clothing Pack. Also.. I've ben messing around with "types.xml", but i was JUST editing the lifetime.. like changing "<lifetime>3</lifetime>" to "<lifetime>3888000</lifetime>", everything was done exactly according the YT tutorials. The only other change in the "types.xml" folder was adding the rubles to the loot pool which I suppose has nothing to do with my issue. Soooo.. - world cars doesn't work.. simply no way to start the engine. - spawned cars via the community online tools work just fine. Anyone ever experienced this issue? or know how to fix that please? Thanks in advance! :)
