If there was a bicycle on every corner, Chernarus would become very small, very quickly. Best to keep vehicles somewhat rare. -

Hey Reo, The problem will reside with your ISP. If you want you can add me to skype and i will run through a few things with you to ensure you get connected. @DutchMike 1. Does the rented server require anything (harddisk free space, etc) from my pc? No nothing from your pc is required 2. Am I abled to enable vehicles? (Especially helicopters) Vehicles are automatically enabled but as for helicopters this is down to the DayZ devs, if your server is extremely popular i cant see why they wouldn't enable it. 3. Am I abled to change the time of day? We will change the time for you if required, most server owners find that sticking to the local timezone is fine for them. 4. Am I abled to ban players? If you have correct and proper proof, yes you can ban players. You can not however just ban players for any old reason as i am sure you are aware. 5. Is there anything I need to know before hosting a server or while hosting server? Not really, You will get provisioned a server, then once your server is only you can play and enjoy. 6. How much control of the server do you have? You get full 100% control over the entire server, however we do not condone anyform of cheating etc.... as i am sure you are aware. Best Regards, Lee -
Wow. 8 vehicles? In over 140 hours of playing DayZ on many servers over the past month or so, I have seen only 1 vehicle in motion. Actually, I heard it at night on some server going down some road North of the North West airfield. Only seen it for about 4 seconds as it passed me by. Tried to type in chat "hey hold on, friendly here can you pick me up?" But it was too late, and the driver didn't give a shit to respond. Oh wait..I did see a bike. That was my brother, whom I've been trying to meet up with for about the same time in the game. He rode the bike all the way from Elecktro to Polana where I was at. I spent about 50 hours finding gear for him. By the time we finally met up, the aggro of the zombies caused the framerate to crawl. I ended up dieing because the zombies were also coming through the walls (no-clip issue) of the building I was in. He came back and collected my gear and we logged off. The following day we were finally going to try meet up again. Soon as he logs in he get's sniped by a bandit. Moral of the story? Nerf bikes. Add trains. And there should be molotov's to burn zombies and bandits to hell.

i fcking want to add one to our 8+ vehicles group. We have been collecting about every vehicle we found. But never this one. What is it exact location?

Oh man, I acquired a tractor, fully repaired it, stuffed it with awesome loot and then stumbled on someone van, full of stuff and fully repaired. I relocated both extremely far into the forest.. start cooking some meat and someone came out of the middle of no where and shot me in the back with a handgun. Lol! It was fun while it lasted.. not sure how he found me, but he's enjoying a lot of gear.. Guess that's what I get for Soloing haha.. oh well time to start again. Hope whoever was on US125 enjoys that stuff. It's a regular server.. so at least now I can go to a vet server.. vehicles kept me tied down. Didn't really like name tags.. might be how he found me. Good times Btw, if you want to prone without making sound, do a circle straif type motion. Example: Up/right same time or up/left same time. Seems to work Also Hugging buildings appears to greatly improve your visibility (or lack there of)

This is a team of morally depraved sycophants. They're completely devoid of intellect and inept skillwise. If you enjoy fart jokes, racist bigotry, and general stupidity, this is the team for you. If not, log into Atlanta 31 and please kill them. They have the clan name -TS-. They have it say their server is running a lower version so people do not join their server, but its actually running the correct version. Right now, they're gathering vehicles and stocking up on gear at the NW airfield. Their plan is to raid Dallas 11.

Okay so here is the deal, playing solo is fun but risky and you are very limited. So i want to gather a small squad/team of 5-6 people maybe more. I wanna do this cause it would be great to always have someone to go with and make new friendship ofc. So the goal with this team is to actually to move to get the really good gear, raid more dangerous places and get vehicles etc. I prefer some mature guys 17+ or so, need voice chat and to speak english at a understandable basis. ^^ My steam is: secreth92 add me there if u wanna chat about starting a team. So reply here or give me a pm if you are interested hope to meet some great and fun people to do some scavenging and surviving with, Peace!

Possible for it to reset out of doorways every couple of hours or so ? Or wherever it has been placed ? Obvious reason being people barricading all important places in a town so no one else can get in quickly , even when they are logged off. Serves no point when they are logged off. Other reason, people not understanding how it works , find the item, place it exactly where they found it, serves no use, we came across some last night in the corner of a building with some other spawned loot near it. It had been erected in the corner right where it was found, my mate glitched while he was picking up a bandage near it and was stuck half in between the wire and the wall, could not move. We had to move server which was no biggie but if it happens when under zed attack or in a gunfight you are at a serious disadvantage. Vehicles, if someone has a vehicle , does that mean another will not respawn where it was found until it is blown up ? If so, that clearly means all of the vehicles on a map are gone in the first couple of hours of a complete reset . The bigger 'clans' or groups of people rush the vehicles and camp them until they are mobile and nobody else has a chance of ever getting wheels. In over 150 odd hours of playing i have only seen two tractors an atv and one lorry. Two of them, the lorry and atv, moving out into the wasteland area of the map when i had just spawned at Kamenka. The lorry i saw at night and was used to cart a couple of guys around who were just farming Balota and the military camp then driving back to wherever their stash was. Everyone knows that the bigger groups have vehicle stashes , im fine with that , working in a bigger group means a lot more fingers in the pie, but If a vehicle has been taken could there be a possibility it will respawn again ? If that already does happen please disregard my whole vehicle rant :) cheers

Let me recap then Sean. The FoG server was getting bombarded with requests to join the server, this resulted in the server being periodically locked, which I myself experienced. Nasir feels like he has irrefutable proof that the admins locked the server so that they and their group could make a rush for the vehicles...thaaats about the jist of it. Double tab Enter about 5 more times and I got in so I do not know what his problem is. -
Negative, nyxe; there is currently nothing preventing you from flying outside of the map. Many people hide tents and vehicles out there.

The reason i ran when i saw you is id rather not get in a gun fight and lose my truck load of weapons. You saw us on the hill before we set off? Well it seemed suspicious thats all, i am not saying you were the hacker it just seemed suspicious. I actually doubt it was you now thinking about it because whoever was hacking was clearly able to spawn vehicles, we pretty much died at the same time so I think from looking at the situation its obvious it wasnt either of us. I lost a lot and i mean a lot of weapons when the server went to shit. I actually eventually managed to spawn and I spawned in the middle of nowhere infront of two choppers, so i took one of the choppers and flew back to see if my truck was there but I couldnt find it. dont know for sure if i was in the right area though but it seemed to be gone as i traced my route back from the shore. I have now switched server as I have lost everything I had on UK6 which is extremely frustrating but hey what can you do. The server seemes to be plagued with hackers as i have lost a few vehicles mysteriously over the time iv been on there and they were in different spots and well hidden in the woods. I dont know how they are doing it but its irritating. So I apologies mirabeu as im sure it wasnt you, before the whole thing went crazy it seemed like you were the most suspicious as it just happend to be when we crashed you turned up and then people started dying. The reason I spotted you is I was scouting around to see if there was anyone around and i saw you running, then i died... -

Fate and another squad solved my problem for me. Our camp was raided during the one hour when none of my crew was online. All 6 of our vehicles, all loaded with weapons, ammo, repair parts, and various other bits were hijacked. That combined with the tent wipe freed us of our burdens. Let the hoarding begin anew! -

All I can say is suck it up whoreders. You are part of an ongoing development stage of a game to help test and refine to contribute to an end product. Be thankful your playing at all, most games in development are closed to the public to test in alpha. Even then most open to the public are closed beta's. Tents, vehicles and anything else that is persistent other than players should wipe with each MAJOR version update. (ie, 1.6-1.7 not hotfixes that update within 24 hrs like we have had with 7.1.1-7.1.5.) Untill we reach beta. No one should be hoarding tents and vehicles in or out of map without expecting to loose them during the alpha stage. Your a test subject, nothing more..playing is a bonus. -

I had this problem with several tents, lost everything apart from the 5 vehicles sat right next to them. -
So lately I've been running into entire servers getting killed by someone running rampant in the debug forest. Today was the worst my team of 15 was moving our entire camp including 9 vehicles when the entire server was killed by someone in the debug forest. To me this is a game breaker and should be taken care of ASAP. So now for my solution possible moving the debug forest to the ocean making it not accessible to anyone with enough time to run. Another solution possible giving the copies in the debug forest God mode but that could also have its own set of problems. But anyways this should be a top priority I've been killed more this week by debug murders than anything else and its getting old.

Around the edges of the map, All the west side, All the North side. Even off the map. Dont bother with parts. All the vehicles have been repaired / moved by now. You need to steal / hijack someone elses. Good Luck

doo et. we lost our stash of gear including some rare weapons + ammo/loot. in the vehicle reset. We gave up on tents and just used vehicles as you can hide them easier in map. -

To the people whining about tents, that was an intentional wipe that everyone was warned about in advance. It's posted right here on the forums in this very section. To the people whining about their vehicles. This is an alpha. If your vehicles were parked in the "green acres" part, then you can't really complain. They said it was a risk. If you had vehicles placed elsewhere and they disappeared, then that sucks, but remember. Alpha. Alpha has lots of bugs. Bugs and alphas go hand in hand. And eFFeRR. Really? Adding features to the game is stupid? It's sad that you don't care that this is an alpha, because you obviously don't understand what happens in the alpha stage of a game. -
