My channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/goddamnkidstoday has videos of my friend Cody and I generally having a fun time, getting killed, finding buses and trucks, losing them, chasing our vehicles back down etc. I don't know if anyone will enjoy them but check them out if you're interested. If they get some views and comments I'll probably press record more. Videos of hackers and choppers uploading now too.

The heli in the game is now what will keep this game exciting, I'm over collecting beans and killing zombies, more interested in finding, fixing and flying the chopper to find other camps and raid high loot points. The heli gives players a goal to set out to achieve, without it it gets boring.vehicles are fun but that elusive chopper is the pinnacle. The bugged chopper is kinda a blessing in disguise as it allows it to crash, respawn then allow others to find it and have a go. This game will soon turn into protect te chopper if you have it or find, destroy or steal it if you don't. I see some good clans being formed and some heated battles during this process.......mmmmmm know where to hide it..........maybe we need to introduce a camo tent in the loot to cover vehicles... We want the chopper! When do we want it? ....... NOW!

The Admin and his team on US 455 is hacking, they have spawned a chopper in and are flying around killing people, 1 of my mates is friend's with the hacker, and they killed him, so they went back to the shore picked him up and flew him back to his body, they also killed me and my other mate, and were shooting at 1 of my other friend's, so my mate jumped in there teamspeak and said it was us they were shooting, so now there saying sorry and giving us vehicles. Just a heads up to people wanting to play this server, the Admin and his team use hacks. The only evidence i have is witnesses of other people seeing this happen. Edit: Now him and his mates are tping everyone to the same spot on the server and creating a massive death match.

What else you want them to do? They are either going to be deathmatching on NW airfield, stary, cherno or electro. There is nothing else to do after you have a camp with tens of guns and some vehicles.

Ive seen a few vehicles here and their but they are quite rare and you're more likely to find them parked in bushes or hidden rather than in a town somewhere because usually groups swoop in and hide them before others can get to them. Its gotten better but since they cracked down on people saving vehicles off map but yeah. As for the crash..the survivor probably jumped in and plowed straight into a tree and exploded

Good suggestion, it may need some tweaking though. First it would be nice to have zombies not glitch through everything. Locking doors from zombies would be nice, I don't know if I like the idea of any random player being able to block doors from others, seeing as the only places you can get loot is from the buildings you can enter. I cant see how locking vehicles would work seeing as one could break a window or just hot wire the car, seeing as most cars in the game are salvaged and I doubt they would have the original keys to work them.

i've been in berezino twice and it's really less populated. i experienced though that the way to it from elektro can be really deathly and the open spaces there, near tents and hospital can be dangerous runs for the lack of cover. and i noticed that it's often looted by guys coming from deep north inland in need for medic supplies, so probably in a SoS mood from hours and maybe days of playing( i can tell this because in both my two trips there i found vehicles with plenty of gear inside)

Since the latest patches have come out scavenging in DayZ has become way too easy, I have so many beans and soda I can't fit it into my 24 slot Coyote backpack. Dayz was supposed to be a survival game but when I'm playing, food and water is something I never worry about. So I went military scavenging, found some heli crash sites, and got myself a nice M249 saw and an M107 sniper with plenty of ammo. Okay so what now, I'll get a vehicle. So far I have crashed or lost, 2 taxis, 2 ATV's, 3 tractors, 1 UAZ, 1 Skoda, 1 bicycle, 1 pbx, a few fishing boats and a civilian. I currently still have one ATV, so vehicles are great for storing your shit and getting from one scavenging point to the next but they soon get boring. So now I've got everything and I’ve done everything what else is there to do. I guess I'll go shoot people.

YOUR nr 5. is so wrong, that you can only say about yourself, i can definately play after getting the survival equipment, when you play with friends, you go explore areas, find vehicles, try and repair them, get the best gear, which at points can be almost imposible unless you serverjump or loot cycle. its a sandbox there is so much to do, you make your own goals. To say there is nothing to do after getting the essentials to survive in the wild, is just WRONG...

Unless you're lying, you died at least 4 times due to easily avoidable bugs (excluding the instance where you spawned on another player). And you rage about the "bandits" who shoot unarmed noobs in cherno/elektro/balota etc, who for a veteran player should be non issue, since there is no reason at all to stay there once you got some basic gear unless you want to get yourself killed over and over again. The risk there is insanely high, and the reward non-existent for veteran players. So unless you're just bad, you seem to be a very very careless player who doesn't really care about surviving or not. 90% of the real bandits are up north on the map, because this is where you get to fight people who can fight back and have a fairly high chance to get high end loot and vehicles. This is what me and my group do atm and yea, it's alot of fun (at least for now)... We pick one of several high priority locations, set up carefully planned ambushes and take out people who grow careless up north because they have good gear and vehicles. Shooting unarmed players is of course stupid, because they are not worth the bullet and potentially giving away your location, but only really happens in the south. Without the constant threat of real bandits wherever you are on the map this mod would be terrible. And it has NOTHING to do with griefing (not talking about the elektro snipers here). And if you think being a bandit up north where people are usually organized and know how to play is without risks, you're deluding yourself. My main goal in this game is SURVIVAL, and me and my group chose to play as bandits. I have never died to a sniper in either elektro or cherno becausei knew even before i started playing that those areas are death traps, and while i sometimes try i quick loot run there, i usually stop trying after i died once and just find everything i need to survive on my way up north. I see no reason to go there at all besides hunting and killing people who are stupid enough to bring all their high end gear there to use freshly spawned players as target practice. (instead of just doing that in the editor) So basically you are raging about dying to bugs and the "fps-crowd" on the coast. Both of which are pretty much non-issues once you've learned the ropes of the game. But instead of avoiding them, you blame bandits who have pretty much NOTHING to do with the issues you brought up and are one of the main factors why this game is such an intense and brutal experience. The only thing i can agree with is that friendly survivors seeking to group up with strangers should have more tools available that makes it at least somewhat less risky, since committing yourself to that playstyle is significantly more dangerous and almost impossible and very frustrating for people who are new to the mod.

Yea they have radar so it's easy to find other vehicles but the main issue was that they desynced the whole server pretty bad due to DayZ running a ton of scripts based on the distance you travel, and since you travel fast in a heli the server gets on it knees and prays for mercy :)

We have like 12 tents, and sometimes one or two that were full one day show up empty the next. (I don't think it was looters because of the items they took- like crossbow bolts + epi pens vs what they left in other tents like DMRs, NVG, etc... plus it was 100% of the items in those tents... and we had vehicles parked within feet of tents untouched.) It's been happening for a couple of patches. There was also this 1 tent that would always lose anything we put in it. Today, tents had completely disappeared after server updating. Friend restarted the server and the tents reappeared (gear inside). Though my L85 that was equipped disappeared off of my character.

post your server and the coordinates of your tents and vehicles here. then try to protect them.

The way we stop bandits from infiltrating? We usually have a group of 5 or more playing together (atleast when I'm on) anytime we group up with new players we watch them very carefully. For a pretty long time. No bandit will try to take on 5 or more players at a time, atleast not a smart one. P.s. if you guys join remember, we wont always be able to help as a lot of us are far away from cherno and elektro to get away from all the killing their so don't take it personally if we don't come running to your rescue. Your best bet would be to grab decent gear to defend yourself, grab things that can help the group out if you have room (medical supplies, ammo, vehicles, etc) and food and water for the long trek then head to where the majority of the group is at (we will tell you in our chat).

You know that this game has a bug that makes tents respawn all their items after server restart? You know this shit happens in all the servers? You know that the players can't do anything about the bug? You know that I personally have run over tons of tents in hopes for them disappearing but they just spawn back with their gear after restart? You know that one of our team (the team that Crossi is in) stopped playing this game because the tent bug that makes gear obsolete? Did you know that a Ural Civilian truck that we one night stole from north forest just disappeared in front of my eyes and was found again at some random location and got shot to pieces when we tried to drive it back. Like EmotionalFartBlender said, you're just accusing ppl without any solid proof. You're only proof of us hacking is that we have good gear? I would be truely happy if they fixed that fricking tent-duplicate-bug and wiped all thea gear, tents and vehicles. Don't blame players for a bug that they can't do anything about. Should I just stop looting a random tent I happen to find in the forest just because I'm not sure if the gear is "legit"? Should I gimp myself by not looting it? Then face off other top geared ppl with winchester knowing that even if I kill them they don't really lose anything 'cause they can go and get the gear back after server restart? This game is a deathmatch at this point and it remains that way until the bug is fixed.

I approve too. In 1.7.2.3 you don't have to shoot infecteds, you can just run through couple of bushes and thight corners and thats it. Would love to see the horror with this and the horde idea from that other thread. But if running fully geared is made slower, in contribution we need more vehicles/bicycles to spawn.

i guess i'll post this here instead of making a new thread, So me and my bro had/have 40+ day old characters, we've survived a lot together, rampant hordes of zombies while trapped in the military tents in stary (the only gun i had sounded like an artillery gun when fired, so every zombie i had to kill just attracted 10 more) a few encounters with other people (by a few i mean about 3, every time we were fired upon) the epic bugs and glitches of the game (camo got me teleported to the sea of the damned, lost all my stuff but managed to keep my life and sanity, it was a very long and cold swim to the coastline) we mostly played on servers that were in the early hours of the morning, which might be a reason for our survival. any way, my 40+ day spree came to an end today ='[ it was a normal day in chernarus. we had ventured into a mid-day server as we were playing earlier than usual (all our servers were still to dark to play) the sun was blazing down on our backs as we took in the beautiful views and scenery as we headed forth to raid another town on our way back to the NE airfield. so far everything was going to plan (apart from a laggy server) *server switch* so anyway we looted a few places and carried on our path. few dead zombies here, few empty cans there. we eventually got to the outskirts of Krasnostav and thought we'd try our luck for a tent in the super market. (i lost mine when i was taken to the sea of the damned) we slowly approached, checking high and low for the living living while cautiously avoiding the living dead. everything seemed to be going smoothly. we got to the first lootable building on our root through the town... empty tin cans ¬.¬ empty whisky (one day i'll find a full bottle) our age old friend server lag comes and pays us a visit so we have a little scuffle with a few zombies that spotted our defenceless laggy bodies. after putting them to rest we slowly made our way through the town. puting down those zombies that came a bit to close. finally we reached the super market, where things would change. we checked around, no one was about. so we entered the super market, swept the rooms closed the doors and got to work checking the loot. no tent (no surprise there) anywaay, the usual supermarket loot was there, bandages, painkillers, ammo for weapons we don't have tin cans ect. we were just getting ready to leave. my bro was just grabbing a bandage when all of a sudden *pop pop pop* i drop to the ground ***you are dead*** (been awhile since i saw that screen) i quickly informed my brother of the uninvited guest that just greeted me. and they both fell into a stand off in the super market. my bro kept getting hit but did not get killed. but he couldn't see the guy shooting him. so i re spawn and make haist to meet up with my brother and help deal with this troubled youth. i'm charging a long the coast with my torch and bandage in hand. ready blind any zombie or player that dares get's in my way. my bro's giving me status reports on the stand off as i get nearer and nearer. he makes it out the super market a short way before he starts getting fired upon again. yet again this mysterious gunman can not be spotted. my bro get's to the tree line and discovers an ATV "haha i've just got on his ATV" we both laugh at the cruel hand karma has just dealt our new friend. we agree upon a meet up point. as we both reach our meet up point (and my bro flips the ATV ¬.¬) all of a sudden we start hearing gunfire whiz around us (bearing in mind there was only 7 people on this server, and we were being fired upon by the same sounding silenced gun as what was being used against us in the supermarket) we panic slightly *waves arms in the air and runs in circles* thanks to my coastal jog i have a massive herd of flesh eating minions behind me. i decide that they'll do a lot more damage to our friend than my torch or bandage could ever dream of. at this point i have lost sight of my bro. after running around a bit and seeing the fallen bodies of my zombie army i can't seem to see our gunman anywhere. so i give the zombie army the slip (shaun of the dead style) and go to meet my brother in a dock yard hanger. he's already inside. as i run around the corner i see something that stunned me. a row of vehicles parked down the docks. ATVs, Helis and the like. i run in the hanger telling my brother what i saw. our new friend was a hacker... and he was frantically spawning vehicles to try and draw us out. needless to say we disconnected from the server. unfortunately we did not get his name. as *we think* he had made himself invisible. my bro said at one point after he escaped the super market, he id in a tree. he heard a person walking past only a meter or so away. but yet could not see anyone. also on reflection we came to the conclusion the guy had teleported from the supermarket to where me and my brother met. (no one can run that far and keep up with a vehicle) he started firing almost as soon as my bro crashed the ATV. now don't get me wrong' my character had taken a lot of bashing from the patches and updates and was bugged out seriously bad. it's done me a favour to start again with a fresh character. i just wish my old one could have ended in a more fair and dignified way, like maybe being sniped while raiding cherno. or blown up by a crashing heli. but hey it is what it is and i got death by 1337 h4x0r. the best part is, despite all his best efforts. this hacker was terrible. even with his invisibility, he could not kill a person that was alerted to his presence. he could of easily just walked in and killed my bro in the super market. we figured the first ATV was a trap like the ones outside the hanger, he expected my bro to jump straight he fired just as my bro hit the deck to check it out. he didn't even hit my bro or the ATV once as he escaped. he didn't hit any of us while we were flailing about at our meet up spot. so yeh, not only did i get H4x0r3d to death. but it was by a h4x0r that relied on the pure element of surprise and a shift quick bullet to the back of the skull. Ah well. onwards and upwards i suppose. i realise this is a lot of text. but i'm bored and was looking for something to do. so if you read through it, i hope you enjoyed my untimely death TL:DR 40+ day old character killed by hacker

yup im pretty sure they toke them out because once you have one, you can basiclly find all other vehicles in less then an hour...

Thank you for taking the time to save a screenshot and submit it here. We are aware of some scripters injecting some foreign DayZ items such as cars, weapons and there have even been some reported cases of hackers teleporting to their camping grounds and stealing their vehicles. We have found the majority of the perpetrators and they have been brought to justice not only by being banned from our server, but they have also been reported by us with log evidence to the hive. The server is currently undergoing constant restarts and shutdowns to fix some host side errors and to look through the logs further to find these hackers so that no one else will be in danger of having their items stolen or destroyed. We thank you for your patience and hope to see you back in US346 later tonight when we bring it back up again when all is clear.

It's not gone. Most of the time the server must be restarted twice for vehicles/tents to spawn. Dunno why.

even after saving I'm find that vehicles are just randomly dissappearing and do not come back after restart. I've had two cars disappear over the past couple of days. One was parked and saved and a couple of guys in our group were at it just a few min before a restart. After the server restarted boom it was gone. The next one, we were in the car when the server restarted. When we got back on, car was nowhere to be found. we traced our entire rout from the last time the car had been saved.

Do not drive vehicles on the pier/docksm they will bug. Also zombies can't get into the docks cause of an invisible wall

My observations on latest patch. Server Issues: 1. Tents are still unreliable. We have tried and cannot figure out when they actually save their inventories. 2. Zombies do spawn rather erratically, and sometimes they are broken and stuck in place. 3. Loot spawns are better, but are still often broken. Just ran through Elektro on US 236 (all of it) fresh spawn, and not a single useful item in firehouse, grocery store, 2 high yields, church and 3 cottages. 4. Our very remote camp had three vehicles before 6PM. Server restarted and 15 min later all vehicles were gone. They were saved multiple times by multiple users. 5. Z glitched out and spawned ON ME while walking through a door. Broke my legs. I saw him suddenly appear directly infront of me for a split second, legs broke, life down to 6k, and then he was gone. Ninja Zed. 6. PVP and sync is much better. 7. Often get ren and yellow chains. May pertain to quality of server. 8. Zeds are deaf. At least they have hawk eyes. I think a good balance would be to turn down the site by 25% and increase the audible range by 25% or so. 9. Less hackers since 208. 10. A few times, on Veteran servers, I was hearing people talking in chat. Last time I heard that they were in Stary, and I spawned in Berezino. I have no idea how or why. Thats all for now...

Okay so late night me and my friends found a hacker area with cars and about 100 tents and stuff in them all... we just took a bus and quad left a bike that one of us brought there and we were off to get some fuel both vehicles were low we head to some town that seems good to get some fuel quad runs outta fuel about half way to the town so i ditch it in the woods. we come up on a few buildings no loot yet so we wait and shut off the headlights...i then say do u guys hear a bike??? friend says yes lets gtfo here driver starts the bus and theres a guy with a saw lighting us up right when the lights go on...i jump out and kill him he kills one of my friends and then the guy ninja logs to lose nothing. was a scary night..
