    Admins are able to?

    Can they locate players? No, they cannot. (edit - smash_AU is correct, they can pull locations from the logs) A server Admin literally has the ability to do 3 things. Do an announcement or use voice over Global chat. Kick a player. Ban a player from their server. That is it. If Admin appear to be able to locate players, move players (teleport) and or have the ability to locate active vehicles...then they are hacking. Also, servers are limited to 1 server each. If there are two on your server one is hacked in. You should go to the Server Reporting forum... --- By the way, are you sure it's a public server and not a private hive server? Most private hive servers have admin who script/hack as a means to...admin their servers.

    IDK how to see people online trough, so the medics sadly have to reply to my post if something. That thing about people offering help, it might as well be a bandit in these parts of the forum, I'll think I want to be better safe than sorry about this time, have died bit to many times recently. Anyhow, I will be offline until I can find some help, no rush really but would be sweet to get it over with. I think there is some kind of vehicles near Elektro, few motor driven and couple of bicycles. If you don't mind that will say to take a trip :-) Oh, that is nice, edited my post to quote you too if you guys wounder about first quote. Anyway, I'll try add you at steam, still I use the standalone version of Arma2 but I guess it works ether way.
  5. yes i do have an account on a trainer website. If you would have bothered to actually dig around you would have found out it deals in SP games...as in single player. Some games get boring after a while and a trainer just speeds up things. Let me get this out, I am not whining. I have been accused/punished for something and now i request to see the evidence used against me. Did you get the string or should i log on again for a second try? should I make one up for you? I might no have your background in IT but if I do decide to cheat on a game and stay undetected i have the financial means to do so... As I said to TimeDeath when he messaged me, show me the logs that I am using either an .esp or the alleged teleporting, although I am sure that won' happen But since we are at the cheats and exploit point let me ask a few things:\ How come you and your clan get the privilege of using/exploiting flaws in the system? Like your members using tents that are glitched and the other admins using the "I restart servers for maintenance" excuse to replenish the items in those tents Use of weapons that are not in game. Ask McLovin and 2 more of your clanmates. Mclovin died with a silenced PDW on him, and the other 2 were not far from tents that contained such items. DC'ing under fire (McLovin, Whisy or something and 2 more....)...hey I am admin clan I can do whatever I guess that's oki since is the admin's clan So far all you did was talk but i am still waiting for the proof behind your words... To answer your questions, Shiz, I know marvel and his clique. I have played on MG l4D2 servers for a long time.Furthermore I was a donor there. And there it was like it is on his DayZ servers. The admins were ignoring/breaking every rule there was there, issuing bans just because someone got mad of his team lost,or issuing different bans for similar offenses (someone would get a day ban and others would get a week-long one for the same thing) favoring a certain class of players as in giving them ingame items, teleporting them away from danger, spawning loot on coop servers....so yeah, me and him have a history... And ShiZ, you are right, i don't trust them. I saw to many admins here abusing their powers on their own servers and forging evidence. with their it's easy to modify some logs. if they are saved as .txt files they can be edited w/o any trace showing (own experience) if they presented as .jpg or any kind of image format, there is always Photoshop or any kind of image editing software. There is always a way to commit forgery regardless of domain. Fake VanGogh paintings have been passed on and sold as originals,copycats of items, vehicles, although a forgery were deemed original. You name it, it can be falsified. The only gaming logs i deem fairly trustworthy are the ones that are out of the aforementioned admin's reach, stored in a database accessible only to game developers/mod developers, in this case Rocket and his team of DayZ. They are impartial to thisAny kind of evidence that came from the owner/admins of US1037 has the potential of being modified. and I am not talking about just the one they claim they have on me. it's every ban they issued/will issue in the future.

    Why is everyone so agressive?

    One would think that during a zombie apocolypse, the human race would band together to reduce the zombie population while increasing the human population? this is a zombie apocolypse simulation right? I try and picture how fun it would be if players were to start being kind to one another and helping each other survive, obtaining vehicles, tents, medical supplies & all the equipment needed to build there camp sites, like wire fencing, tank traps, sandbags and bear traps, allocate tents for storing food & drinks, medical supplies, weapons & ammo, vehicle repair parts, going out in squads using vehicles or on foot to eliminate the zombie population, seeking out more survivors to offer a safe haven, while rounding up more supplies. I just dont understand why survivors want to murder other survivors, suviving solo can be easy, but its lonely, strength in numbers and working as a team is so much more fun. I play this simulation as if it were real, my humanity is currently at +11,531 but i wear camo clothing, have over 1,600 zombie kills, only 1 murder, a freind who was bleeding out and being chased by a zombie, my MK 48 MOD 0 has a hair trigger and this time it decided to shoot a burst of 3 rounds instead of 1, wish it had the option for semi auto, burst & full mode... Is this what humanity has come to? in the statistics thread, perhaps knowing the % beetween the amount of good guys and bad guys out there would show what the human race has degraded to if had to endure a zombie apocolypse?
  7. Yeah, true story. It's sad we try to bring up a big community by setting up servers and then get a foot in our asses, because we are complaining about bugs, which can't be so hard to fix. As I said, we pay about 100 Euro for our servers and we don't even have vehicles on one server since it was started for the first time. The other two servers don't save anything, that's why we downgraded to 1.7.2.4 now and everything is just fine except of the graphical glitches. I just got the answer the vehicles would spawn within 7 days but as you see in this thread http://dayzmod.com/f...er/page__st__20 many people having the same issue and this is absolutely a no go. alpha back and forth. Having no vehicles on a newly rented server is inacceptable and I don't think it should be that hard to manually spawn them, if a dev would take some time for it. Also the fact, that I got an email from gamed!de they had stopped our server, because we lock them after a restart for 5 minutes, to prevent the database won't load correctly is a sassiness. We tried it several times and when players join the server after a restart and we don't lock it to prevent people clicking on "okay" the tents and vehicles won't appear. So that's the reason why we lock them for 5 minutes. After that we got a threat the dayz team might blacklist our server when we do that again. So I ask you, what is that bullshit about? The server owners already have no rights. We can't even see the log files anymore so since that we can't see dupers, we can't see hackers with locator scripts, who ran straight out of nowhere to our camp and destroy everything just for fun. We aren't allowed to ban exploiters or even ghosters which I experienced again today after a guy logged out and spawned behind us. We are allowed to set up the server name and the difficulty. That's all and that's not okay. In every game you are able to abuse the game when you are an admin. But that's life. There are always people who will abuse their rights and there is no way to avoid that. Like I said, I was banned in several games from admins who were frustrated I was better then them. But I don't care. The rules are way to harsh and when the dev team wants the people stick to their rules, they might have to set up their own servers and don't use people like us, who are students or have families to host their servers and ruin the mod with useless patches or don't even give them what they deserve (like vehicles) when they try help the community to grow. You can't expect people stick to rules, when you don't give anything back to them. So, that's why I'm concerned. The dev team deals with server hosters like they were some idiots and assholes and that makes me angry. I can't program a mod and I don't have to, to have an opinion and complain about dayz. Also I don't expect an aplha to run perfect without any bugs, I wouldn't love this mod so much, if I would, but I expect a give and take basis and that's not the case. And yeah, I did not pay for this mod and I would never complain about anything, but the fact is, I pay for a server, of which I expect, it saves tents and has vehicles though. So, that's why I think I'm in the position to complain about those things. The bugs like a quad flipping over a hill, broken legs from a door or tents, dying from a bug and so on are okay. It's an alpha, but some things are a no go, like those graphical glitches, no vehicles on servers and tents and vehicles don't save. Duping is a problem too, but since our clan don't need to dupe and we don't want to ruin our fun with dayz, we don't do things like that.

    I want a fix for the god damn server hive crap. Shady admins, random restarts make you lose your vehicle, servers randomly shut down forever losing all your vehicles and tents, server hopping.
  9. the admins of server 1555, namefully Bedyr, banned me and all 5 of my clan members for 'server hopping' after we dsicovered their camp, and looted everything in it. if you need any more evidence look up 1555 mega camp location on the forums. in that threat they admit to wrongfully banning us, and claim to lift the bans. That obviously didnt happen. this is also kind of an admin abuse thread, because after we found and took their vehicles, they reset the server multiple times and took the server down.
  10. Here's my 2 cents. I really hope at least some of this reaches dev team. Please discuss constructively. #1. For the love of God, NO BATTLE EYE. #2. Characters bound to specific server with game allowing for maximum 8-10 characters different servers. 1 character per server max to prevent item swapping and building up with "disposable character". This will easily fix combat server hopping, storing items in camps on secure servers, spawn server hopping etc... This will also be consistent with vehicles and tents being server bound. This will also develop communities because instead of people hopping servers they will play with same people eventually developing rivalries or friendships. #3. Time out before log out (like in other mmo RPG/FPS such as Planetside or Wow). Time out should be server side and independent of gamer client. I.e. if you alt F4, you character will stand around on the server for 15 seconds and can be killed. #4. Active equipement slots for : primary weapon - 2 handed, secondary weapon - 1 handed, Tool - 1 handed. Cannot use anything else while using 2 handed items obviously, but one handed items can be combined. Example: Firefighters Axe = 2 handed. Rifle = 2 handed. Flashlight = 1 handed, Makarov =1 handed, combat knife = 1 handed. So you could use handgun+flashlight, flashlight+knife or knife+handgun simultaneously for example. All actions such as cutting wood could be appended by item and accessed without explicitely equiping the item. So you could use 2 handed axe or a small hatchet to cut wood for example. #5. New "household/improvised" weapons for beginner civilian spawns: - Melee: Stick, Shovel, spetsnaz shovel (entrenching tool), baseball bat, baseball bat with nails, kitchen knife, hunting knife, hammer, axe, CHAINSAW (yeeees!... uses jerrycans as ammo) - Ranged: flare gun (one shell magazine, shoots flares similar to M203 grenade launcher. however they do damage to player/zombies), Tazer (knocks players out, inefective vs zombies), Bow, Nailgun (industrial spawn, short range, random low-moderate damage, uses nails as ammo), #6. Ability to craft weapons, devices from junk you find : Hammer + nails + baseball bat = Baseball bat with nails String + 3xempty can = crude alarm (makes loud noise when triggered) string + kitchen knife + stick = Makeshift Spear String + Grenade = explosive trap (will probably be overused kinda like barbed wire near firestation now to kill noobs, but will force people not to run through cities speed looting, and will defend your camps... Could present balance issues, should not credit kill to player) #7. Ability to upgrade vehicle to adapt them to post apocalyptic environment. Example: You may find a broken Ural, fix it to working condition, then add a spiked bumper, armored plating on the sides, engine upgrade and a machinegun on top to make it into a true zombie crusher. And it would look bad ass. (Google trucks made by mexican cartels. here is one) #8. Rivers / lakes / marshes / islands. I worked with Operation Flashpoint engine (which is essentially early version of Arma2 engine) and I know it doesnt take kindly to rivers. Hopefully Arma3 engine (which I assume Dayz Standalone will use) can better handle it. Having a network of rivers (with islands of different sizes!) that can be navigated by boat will give a whole new dimension to survival and safety. You can find a boat and go up stream without fearing zombies, you can make a fortified camp on an island and claim that territory. It can give place to Vietnam like situations of riverside ambushes and people using boats at night to travel etc. It will also create new very dangerous zone: bridges. Being the only way to cross a river if you do not have a boat, they will quickly become sniper magnets. As obstacles, rivers can also serve as sort of boundaries for beginner, intermediate and advanced zones on the map... VERY interesting gameplay possibilities IMO. Unfortunately one of the least developed gameplays in the whole franchise as well. Subject to balance of course #9. Ability to restore power to cities. Fix a powerplant, and it will light up the city at night (for a certain number of days lets say). Also maybe the zombies are not comfortable with light and they will leave a city (stop spawning) if lights are working. The loot should stop spawning as well for balance (if town is safe in real life it will be picked clean in hours). Or maybe powerplant can power some sort of constructable Towers that will repulse zombies (infra sound generators for example). Zombies can periodically spawn to attack these towers giving players a mission to defend those towers if they want to keep town zombie free. This can create "safe" zones (safe from zombies) where players can interact. Either establish claimed territory or create a hub for trading. #10. A variety of clothing, including camouflages, Facepaint :thumbsup: , ghilliy suits as they are in game now. Ability to change hats, and maybe other pieces of clothing (probably will be impossible under arma engine though) #11. No visible distinction between friendlies and bandits should be made (like in real life). #12. Possibility to create squads. Making a squad gives you a slightly better way of spotting your squadmates (like in arma 2 SP now). This is a game and we have to compensate for lack of visual inputs after all. Friendly fire is still on, so if you team up with wrong people its your funeral still.... #13. Body armor. Rare obviously. Found in police stations (Bullet proof vests) or army installations (camo flak jackets and helmets) #14. All buildings should be explorable (probably impossible under arma engine :(. Oh well) #15. Camouflage nets, to mask your vehicles and camps from air ad ground. I also heard ideas of underground structures discussed by Rocket. Thats cool. #16. Separate attachements for weapons. ability to add silencer if found, scope if found. Subject to compatibility between weapon and attachement. (i think its already in Arma3) #17. Ability to claim regions on the map. Cities , forests, islands etc... Not sure on mechanic and implications #18. Diferent infections player can catch. Cold = pneumonia (cough, cure=antibiotics) , Zombie attacks = The Virus (player turns into zombie after 48 hours, cure= Vaccine), any wounds that are not treated for a while = infection ( vision blurry, cure= antibiotics, in not treated may kill) #19. Player with broken legs that takes morphine still has his mobility reduced for some time. #20. Fishing, trapping. Considering it is a survival mod, it makes sense. A mechanic has to be worked out however as I doubt people will sit for 15 minutes on one spot trying to catch a fish with snipers around. Maybe nets, that you can come back to and get fish out of them. #21. A very "light" set of skills. No skill trees, and they could be learned semi randomly through books found in game. For example : Survival guide = Trapping learned OR firemaking learned, Army fire arms guide = slightly less recoil (or rather normal recoil. beginner character has amplified recoil) OR slightly faster reload (or rather normal reload. beginner character has increased reload) Some of these skills, like fire arms handling should also be learned over time. This kind of skills are well represented in ARMA editor by skill slider (in Operation Flashpoint at least). In OP you could play a mission as a recruit that has trouble controling his breath, and next mission as a spec op who is a cold professional with pin point aim. Evolution like this in Dayz could be cool as we all start as "civilians" as long as it doesnt gimp new players too much. --- EDITED 2012-08-19 --- New ideas #22. Improved object throw mechanic. Having a choice between lighting flare or lighting and throwing it. accessible through "firemode" selection. #23. Ability to make signals with road flares/chemlights. Action accessible from mousewheel menu when you are holding a flare. You could for example wave the flare above your head to signal. #24. Urban camouflage. Maybe also some rare high end version of specops night camouflage (without going too much into sci fi) #25. Repairable trains. the railroad is already pretty believable in Arma 2. Putting 2-3 trains that can be repaired and driven one or more cars would be cool i think. Just need to make sure no collisions are possible. can be attacked and disabled/destroyed. #26. adjust weapons spawns to ensure that majority of new players have civilian weapons. getting an AKM within minutes from spawn is a little unrealistic. Some testing will surely be needed, but maybe make all weapons more rare to make people improvise/cooperate more? #27. different zombie types. not just way they move like now, but different power (military stronger than civilians for ex) , different speed, different awareness. Again, more challenge to force people to work together --- EDITED 2012-08-21 --- #28. How about more random AI "special" encounters. Like a rare spec ops team for example doing reconnaissance on the ground. They can arrive by chopper (thus alerting players to their presence), move through several waypoints on the map, engage zombies in towns, and kill players on site (their orders are anything = zombie) and, if alive extract from a different point on the map. This would have a kind of resident evil flavour, government investigation... they would carry rare military weapons, good equipement, if players get lucky to catch them while theyre loading / unloading, they could even get a working chopper... should be a very rare encounter, much less likely than finding a chopper for example. And they should present serious danger to players. A watered down version could be a more common encounter of a small military camp with Ai soldiers being attacked by zombies. or a small military vehicle convoy trying to get out to their evac point.... Again all encounters _could_ be hostile, but then again, there could be some that are friendly and give trade / quest options... Would give a little more rpg flavour to the game, but would keep sandbox gameplay as long as these events are kept very rare... #29. Giving players possibility to use bloodpacks on themselves, basically a last resort do or die choice. Probability death = 67% Probability survive and full HP restore 33%. that way people would use it only when faced with certain death.

    9 day survivor lost to hacker. I was running along the north western perimeter looking for camps and vehicles when suddenly someone took a shot at me. I could not hear where the shot came from so I tried to run for the nearest row of trees. Next thing I know, large explosions are erupting from the treeline I am running towards, and the first thing I thought was, "Satchel charges", (now I believe this to be artillery), so I still think I am in a legit PvP run for my life and don't Alt-F4. Now my assailant starts firing with a different gun and I am shot dead. Heart pounding and now beginning to get the slight inkling that I may have just ran into a hacker, I respawn near Cherno. I run in the general direction of my first possible loot location when I am suddenly teleported to the wilderness up north with a large group of other new spawns mostly barehanded, some with hatchets. People are generally bewildered running around yelling. Suddenly cows parachute down from the sky. And then what I believe was a serious of bombs or nukes went off. After aborting and switching servers I spawned in the wilderness bleeding knocked out and with legs broken. Needless to say I respawned when I could. I dont feel I have it in me to play more right now. I might fire it up in an hour or two.... The only consolation I take from this is a full reset of my kill count now that ammo limits are now in place. From now on, the kill count will mean more. Edit: I found a low pop server and gathered some basics and headed to the NE Airstrip After clearing the control tower, I found what I would describe as a "survivor tent" pitched directly in front of the first hangar. Inside was mostly lower tier weapons, but the remington was better than the crossbow I had. Also inside that tent, to my surprise, was a GPS! Which had not found up until now. The latest patch seems to run very well for me too, btw.
  13. So 4 of us are standing around fixing up a few vehicles and someone with an as50 comes running up, we ALL shot him many times. I alone emptied 1 mag into him, he killed all but one of us, he took over 30 rounds combined.... Is there a hack or something for invincibility? lame....
  14. Stupid argument. Same shit as "it's an alpha". I don't need to program a mod by myself to complain about another and saying rocket is incompetent in programming a mod for a community which is that big. We patched back to 1.7.2.4. There at leat the tents and vehicles are saving again. But paying 100 Euro for servers and getting crap patches all the time, which fuck up the game more and more is a pain the ass. 1.7.2.4 is the most stable build I think. Only the graphical glitches are a mess. But let me see, 1725 has them too. So, why don't roll back to 1.7.2.4 fix bugs which are important and then adding features? Who needed the bandit skin? tbh it's useless. It brings more bugs like losing your backpack and such things. That's the reason why I don't understand, the devs adding more and more features instead of fixing important things.
  15. Since patch 1.7.2.5 I've never seen or heard any kind of vehicle. We checked around 50+ vehicle spawn points over the last few days. Seems they all have disappeared magically. We didn't have any problems finding vehicles prior to 1.7.2.5 though...
  16. So that's why vehicle saves are borked. Servers no longer save the data and the hive does (like for players). LOL that's one way to stop admin domination of a servers vehicles I guess :D
  17. Ok but in the last patch it was a pain in the ass to find a vehicle, Hacked or not I managed to find only 2 vehicles while I played DayZ 1.7.2.3-1.7.2.4 and now suddenly I fount this ^^^ wired right???
  18. That's not the point! The point is that the Developer just think about new features and how to expand the game. My opinion is that DayZ is a fucking nice game and it just brings a lot of fun! But when I see that this Developers just bring new features instead of fixing this bugs which wouldnt be such a big worrk cause for example spanwing at the coast cant be such a heavy bug. Fixing a bug would cost less time than programing a new feature! I already had a lot of fun in DayZ but when i see bugs like spawing at the coast or vehicles which respawn i rage and think that the next game i buy will be WarZ! Yes it's an Alpha and how works a Alpha? You release an Alpha and let the people report the bugs they get! Next step is fixing these bugs, not bringing new features! An Alpha should be so large. An Alpha get released to show the Developer what doesn't work and what they could do better! DayZ dont work like an Alpha! It works like an already released game and that made me sad!
  19. There is a tool that admins can use that shows the locations of vehicles. Its not in real time though. I've only used it once because we had hackers on our server take every vehicle on the map and put them as far north as possible. Most likely you lost your vehicle to hackers since they can see vehicles in real time or just teleport directly to them.

    i was thinking that you should be able to start up chernarus but with the zombie spawns added with the in game stuff in it so you could create your own map with spawn locations, turrets, all vehicles, weapons crates, watch towers, all that good stuff what do you guys think personally i think it would be cool and fun playing with your friends on your own custom built server map
  21. Admins can't see any thing in new patch also there is a BUg with this patch that tent's / Vehicles are not saving so every time server resets they go back to were u found them even if u save

    Can admins see the location of vehicles?

    Wasn't there an issue with the latest patch that made it so that all spawns were glitched including players who now randomly will spawn on the coast even if they logged in a different location? Could apply to vehicles as well since they seem to only be saved before the last patch and it would explain why the loot you took isn't gone.
  23. Bandit skins last between lives. There are more vehicles on the map because hackers spawn them in, use them and leave them. They don't go until they are destroyed.

    How to move as a Bandit?

    So far I've tried the hatchback, pick-up, atv, bicycle, and dirt bike. Bicycle is my favorite - quiet, fast, doesnt use fuel, repairs itself, and with a little practice on the controls you can gun through forests at full speed. I've got a dirt bike with red rims and flames on the fueltank which would be a close second, albiet for the badass factor. Also from the little experience I have, it seems like the bicycle and motorbike wheels have a smaller hitbox (maybe the tyre?) than the 4+ wheel vehicles.
  25. I just wonder why my tents remain untouched. After all, they are filled with the gear I stole out of their vehicles.
