I'm asking this simple question because I still haven't fully understood how this works, I'm waiting the approval for a server I'll host so I'd like to have this clarified. This is how i tought it worked: - Repair a vehcle, use it, store stuff in it, remember to click on "save *vehicle_name*" every time you put-remove stuff from it - Server restarts - Your vehicle is where you parked it with your staff in it This is what regularly happens to me: - Repair a vehcle, use it, store stuff in it, remember to click on "save *vehicle_name*" every time you put-remove stuff from it - Server restarts - My vehicle is either: --- gone. I mean, it isn't there anymore. last night I was with a friend on a motorbike, server restarted without notice, we went back in and the bike was nowhere to be found --- where I leaved it, but without anything in it (spare jerry cans and stuff like that) --- at his spawn, to be fixed, like if I haven't done anything to repair it. happened last week, we repaired a vehicle and as soon as we started using it the server restarted - when we came back the vehicle was at his spawn, with engine-body-fuel tank and all the 4 wheels broken, like before whe repaired it, but we didn't have anything in our gear anymore - no wheel, no engine, nothing. I'm not really complaining, I'd just love to know how it works in order to do correctly the next time I'll found a bike or a car :° Thanks to everybody that will answer me :) Edit. -> I should add that in the first case, the one with the motorbike gone (we found that at the airfield about one hour before) we were also fixing an Ural. By the time the server restarted, the Ural needed only one wheel to be completly fixed, after the server restart it was again ALL broken (body, engine, etc). I'd like a clarification on this too :(

Hey guys, I was working on editing some of my DayZ series, when I came across a part where I find a red UAZ at its spawn in Stary Sobor. It was completely broken (all parts) and had pretty much no fuel. It led me to wonder, is it possible to find a UAZ, or any vehicle for that matter fully repaired? Thanks for your time! P.S. Do ATV's spawn at the NW airfield? I came across a guy with one, I was trailing him for some time, but lost him for a few mins, so I'm not sure if he found one, or if I saw another player.

Hi I play with my friends quite frequently on this 1.7.2.4 server and we found many vehicles and a chopper which we filled up with weapons and gear that we looted. We then hid them in a forest and saved all of them, however when we returned today after several restarts, all the vehicles are gone and the few tents that we set up was empty. This also happened on the same server several times before. I'm wondering if this is a problem with the server ID?

Title say's it all, they remove the battleye to hack vehicle back once taken. No reason why I was banned for. abusive admin, (graz) has happened many times (rocket wants people to report abusive admins)

Just a quick question can you put any vehicles from arma 2 onto my dayz private server?i dont want tanks or attack choppers just a VTOL-im new to having a server. MV-22

Basically we recently accquired the VS3 civilian packed with guns, ammo, 10 camos and ghillies etc. We then place 3 tents down and come off the server for 2 hours. There was one person on when we left and one person on when we came back and it was well hidden. It is now gone with all the tents. There was a server restart when we left, but why would it have reset all our stuff? We also saved it constantly, especially just before we came off. Can anyone tell us as to what has happened, greatly appreciated.

Hello all! First post here and I was wondering if anyone had any useful tips for finding vehicles? Me and a friend have been alive for about a week now. Despite finding some decent gear, and setting up a small hideout with tents, we have never even caught a glimpse of a vehicle. (other than a hacked police car) I use dayzdb map and we check every vehicle spawn point as we pass. Do they have set spawn points or is the location on that map just a general area? So we decided to make finding a vehicle top priority. Last night we traveled from Cherno to the northeast airstrip checking every vehicle spawn from Cherno to the east coast the whole way there, only to not see a single one. It seems a little odd because there was only like 3 other people on the server at the time. So yeah, just wondering if anyone had any tips. Thank you all for taking the time to read this! So some hackers logged into our server then proceeded to teleport to us and rape us. All vehicles with us were destroyed then we all got some error message about them spawning in pipe bombs? 2 hours later after they blew our old camps up and warped to every camp using said pipe bombs, NOTHING has spawned. Our camps at diff locations are gone along with all vehicles. We've restarted our server and nothing will spawn, every single camp is wiped out like it was never there. Any ideas?

I restarted the server several times but no more vehicles. Anyone has an idea?

I've found a offroad pickup truck with loot inside of it(cz550,5 cans of beans and two road flares) I was wondering is this normal or am I competeing to fix a vehicle? p.s. the pickup truck has nothing repaired

on mine and my friends server us 1925, sometimes randomly after server restarts every vehicle and tent on the map despawn, and randomly respawn (up to) days later. this only happened after the new patch and it isnt just the area where the vehicles tents are kept, we've tried so many different locations, and even found other peoples tents doing the same thing. and yes, we save everything... :x also, sometimes vehicles switch with each other. log off one night with two bicycles, log back in and their's two dirtbikes. this has also happened with the bus/v35. the vehicle you had previously just returns to it's spawn it seems? i'd love input, just to see if we're not alone. is there something i can do as an admin to stop this? our server restarts about every 4-5 hours.

I think we all agree that the land of Chernarus should be littered with workable vehicles. However, how many of these vehicles would be useable to a wandering car thief? For example, for a car to be useable it would have to have the car keys available - unless Rocket implements a hot wiring system. My suggestion is to have vehicles quite common but useable ones quite rare. Vehicle parts however should be relatively easy to come by though in that you would just have to strip another vehicle. Finding random car engines, fuel tanks and tyres in buildings is a tad silly when the first place you would look is an abandoned car lying beside the road. My point: Keep the number of useable vehicles the same but increase the number of abandoned, but perfectly fine cars, trucks etc so that we can blow them up, strip them for parts or just look cool sitting in the front seat. Apologies if this has been mentioned before.

where: Server US 485 When: 4:10am Australia, melbourne time What: Bit of a long story. me and my team mate on corner of the map, then player teleports to us while im trying to unflip an ATV. Begins talking to us and we noticed he has a Draganov SVD with NV (he even bragged about it). i unflipped the ATV as he was talking to my partner and I drove away. i stashed vehicle in bushes then crawled towards where my partner was. I lined him up for a shot and then my legs magically broke. Over general chat he said I looked like i had a broken leg? then came to heal me (kind of confusing). He then said we should team up and said him and his team had 3 choppers (not sure if map allows this?) he dissapeared and came back with a chopper. We boarded the chopper, then saw two other choppers in the sky. all of a sudden we were attacked and we escaped by ejecting. we then saw a whole lot of buses on parachutes coming down. i bugged out then as i knew this is not part of the game. We managed to get names of the guys who did this; video footage coming soon from my team mate who filmed it on his phone Names: Chris (was the guy with us and brought a chopper to us) A.T.E Garry Max Tommo cybzmaster (not sure if they are ALL hackers, but they were around when this was happening)

A week ago or so, my mates and I found a truck in the quarry. We just finished repairing and wanted to leave when the truck got blown to pieces by a few guys on the rocks behind us, and we couldn't fire back or anything because we couldn't fire our guns(Not that we had time to do that, in this case, though) and were an easy target. That got me thinkin' for a bit: Now anyone with a reasonable gun shoots a vehicle(except for the huey) on sight if there aren't too many people in it. Because people in the vehicle are vulnerable and first have to get out before they can fire back. Why aren't there any vehicles(boats/land vehicles) that make the others go 'FUCK ITS A ..., HIDE'? I'd love to see (lightly) armored vehicles or vehicles with mounted weapons on them. Ofcourse these would be military-grade and rare, yet a very valuable asset. These vehicles, and just like other vehicles, could be shot at the tires and come to a standstill. So you won't have a mobile armed death machine driving carelessly around your camp/hideout. It should also have other weak spots, but also be able to fend itself of or pack a punch for longer than the usual car. Examples for vehicles could be(russian/ukraine or not): ^Couldn't resize this one for some reason :S (can float, too) Haters gonna hate. PS: I don't know the names of these vehicles, just some examples of what I had in mind. PPS: Sorry for any grammatical errors of some sort :P

Do you guys think that vehicles will be fixed in the next update? and will tents even somewhat work?

So yesterday me and 2 of my pals, after spending a lot of time searching, found a bike on Dallas 3, shortly after we found a blue hippy truck which is one of the best vehicles in the game as far as im concerned, the joy was overwhelming. We drove it around for a bit because we needed to find a tire for the bike, and then... Boom. Server crash, or restart I dont even know, and we were stranded in the middle of the road with our truck gone. We rushed to where the bike was to find it was still there, thank god, so we drove that around, BOOM! Another server crash/restart, now the bike was gone too and we were stranded who knows where. So my question is, dafuq is going on? I have seen people with vehicle camps and so on, but how can that be possible if vehicles just dissappear when the server farts. Can someone please give me some intel on this just so I can have a better understanding of what the fuc* is going on? Thank you.

Hey, I wonder if there is any fix for my problem. Vehicles keep respawning after I restart my server. This is getting really annoying as players can't save their vehicles at their camps or w/e. We are just getting tired of this shit and thus far we haven't found any fix. I hope people do know how to solve this problem thanks in advance.

I was playin on my favorite server. US 150 [DayZ 1.7.2.4/95417][Regular][3dpon][choff][uTC+10]dayzmod.com - Hosted by =DHD= My brother (rocc) and I were at our camp with our 3 vehicles and our tents, when a Helicopter came outta no where and started shooting at my brother. Broke his leg and almost killed him. Then when he went back to our vehicles he got in his truck and got blown up by a satchel charge. so i hid for a while, then made my way back to my truck and it was gone. next i heard the heli fly over one last time, then i saw the only other 2 players in the game ( =DHD=ScorchedEarth and TAW_Jigsaw) logout. So we went on a hunt for their cant. seeing as they just distroyed ours. We seached alot of the map, for long time. When we came across a camp that had almost every vehicle in the game. 6 bikes, 5 quads, 2 cars, 2 buses, 3 tractor, transport truck and helicopter. now i knew why i wasnt finding any vehicles on the map. so we decides to blow them all up so that they might respawn for evenyone else that plays in the server may find some vehicles. then the next day we noticed one of the 2 players logging on so went to greet him. and then the server restarted and i got disconnected and lost my helicoper. so i logged back in and the admin was in the game now also (=DHD=ScorchedEarth) so (rocc) my brother and I walked back up to thier camp and rocc got there first and started an epic battle, but got killed. so i snuck up on them and got the jump on them and shot TAW_Jigsaw until he logged out just before dying. then i flanked =DHD=ScorchedEarth and shot him till he logged out. The about 5 mins after that rocc and I got a msg "You were kicked off the game. (BattlEye: Admin Ban (Cheating/Hacking). Pretty sure we didnt do anything outside of the Dayz rules. they were just mad cause we killed and took thier stuff. i dont think thats fare at all. Thanx for reading H33t

So... Server: US 1284. Camp location, Malinovka (SE of Polana / NW Of Dolina) They had At least 3 vehicles. A UH1H, UAZ, and URAL. From the looks of it my motorcycle, and someone elses Bike will be there too. As as we found the camp, the admin "Banned us for Cheating/Hacking" B.S. We found their camp, so they banned us from their server... Well, enjoy. It seems to me that every time a friend and I acquire a vehicle. its lost when the server restarts. Now the servers I play on restart every 6 hours or so. And its getting so frustrating because we spend 4 hours finding parts, fixing it up and then driving it to a spot to set up a camp just to have it disappear the moment the server restarts 2 hours later. And this happens with most servers I play on. Its getting so depressing, fixing up a vehicle, the glee of driving one and then logging in after the server restarts to have my heart sink when I see its simply gone, or its turned into something else which is completely useless and broken (Also occurs) Is this what everyone experiences, or should it not do that. Its getting very annoying.

Is it a some kind of bug? we got 3 vehicles and saved them in the woods after logging back in within 15min all the vehicles were gone We tried again on a different server and found a truck saved it logged back in and its also gone

Regarding item slots in vehicles, the motorbike, which we have is filled with 5 wheels as it has 5 item slots, yet takes up 30 item slots in a backpack? is this a glitch, or legit? thanks.

Hello, At first i want so say that my english isn't the best because I'm not native english speaking but i will try my best :) I want to introduce my new Dayz Server, it's running version 1.7.2.4 because of the Vehicle Problem in the newer version. The Server is pretty empty right now but that what i want to change with this Thread :> The Admin Clan can help newbies for getting the basic tools and some food & Soda! We won't shoot at unarmed People if they don't get to close to us. I'm very active and i check the logs everyday before i go to work so hackers won't last long on my Server !
