I can understand his anger but if he plays long enough in there to have all that he should know you announce your restarts but if he just hopped in and found a base he deserved it. the vehicles should go back to where they were last saved also so tell him to go get them again.

This isn't really a newb concern as such, but I've been playing for a month or so and me and my mates have found four vehicles, 1 boat (Marzeman then got shot looking for fuel) 1 bicycle, 1 ATV next to a guy who was obviously hacking because weapons kept dropping around it, and I was on NZ05 when Kemanko was on fire and there were a bunch of trashed buses, one I drove for about three second before it spontaniously combusted. So any way, the question is this, can you help with any suggestions finding vehicles?

UPDATE: If anyone is still looking for a good server to make their home we now have Vehicles Spawning in our server. So come on in and Vehicle Horde! :D

So ... I'm actually the admin of US 1550, and today I get a nasty email to my admin email address. Either you need to get a plugin that tells when restarts are happening or if that was a manual restart then I may report ya. I manually go through logs and see who is hacking/scripting and do everything else an admin can do. And it's very rare that I ever restart a server without announcing that it's coming. So I started thinking about it and I did restart one of my servers without a warning today, purely by accident. But "abusive admin"??? WTF?? Are you kidding me? I even run around in my servers loaded with good gear and take pot shots at my players to encourage them to try and kill me. I'm never mad or abusive about being killed, and I never restart the server when fair-play happens. I mean, really? Comeon. Abusive? There's no rule that says I must give a warning, although 99.9% of the time I do. And, I never abuse the restart to benefit myself or friends. The only unwarned about restart today was accidental, while I was in the server via Remote Desktop, I was trying to "grab the window to move it and instead it clicked it closed, forcing the game server to restart. Remote Desktop is a little slow on the take with the mouse and sometimes it's glitchy. At the time I was actually looking at the server and logs to benefit YOU, not me, because of hacker/scripters. Sorry man, but that's not abusive ... regardless of what you think. If you think I'm an abusive admin because you got one unannounced restart and lost some pixels ... then find a new server, and report me. As far as telling me what I need to do (Re; getting a plugin, etc.) you DO NOT pay for my servers. You DO NOT get to tell me what to do with my servers, that I pay for. You DO play for free on my high-speed dedicated server, that I pay for out of my pocket. Again, I follow the DayZMod rules. A couple people with hacked guns, but zero proof that those people actually hacked them. And I was hopping back and forth on my servers playing during that time frame and didn't notice anything unusual either. So .. whatever. Anyway, I guess I'm an abusive admin, so I'm reporting myself for an unscheduled and accidental, unannounced server restart that caused some guy to lose some pixels on the intertoobz. You can't do much about car hoarding. If there's two times the amount of vehicles the clans will hoard those too. The only solution would be to reset the location back to the spawn points at a certain time, and even then most people will just get them back. That's just a thing that has to be monitored by admins, if they're not doing it themselves.

I get that this is the time to test features, but what about other things? Like the car whoring. Why not increase the amount of vehicles by 200%, while making gas only available at 2 or so places? Dogs just seem like a silly gimmick addition at this point in game.

What I can't figure out is that I don't mind being killed by users or zombies but when servers screw up by spawn killing into the debug and wiping your items etc. is to much and I allmost quit the game for good. Too many updates etc. I paid for this? I can see now why Dayz forms want to stay away from Battleye global bans. Anybody here telling me that I'm a hacker is sadly misinformed. Server this happened on: US 50 Time that it happened including your timezone: 4:20 - 4:30 GMT -4 What happened during the incident: We (3 people) are in the Factory West of Orlovets (114078) when a player with camo skin on a bike comes in the factory yard. I try to speak to him twice, he gets down from the bike, runs to me up to 3 feet in front and opens fire (Mk 48 I think). I get 3 body shots on him (M4A1 CCO SD) before I die. Friend A gets 4 body shots on him and dies. Friends B was behind a small storage building, runs to us but sees no one on the scene, takes the UAZ we had (the fight happened right next to it) and drives to our "camp" (no tents, just parking the vehicle there). Admin text starts appearing, gloating and offering a deal to Friend B to swap the UAZ for our bodies (he said he dragged our dead bodies somewhere, afaik that's not possible), since he seems to be craving for attention we just ignore it. After a bit, Friend B falls unconscious when receiving a burst from this admin, falls down with no damage loss and no passed out timer. Admin is now next to him and he keeps shooting at his body dealing no damage. My friend waits for the admin to kill him but he just stays there, so he disconnects normally (no Alt+F4). When Friend B rejoins the game (one hour later) his front inventory is totally empty, no gun, no ammo, nothing, gets knocked out for about 5 minutes and his blood is still full at 12000. Notes: - We had no "camps", we just parked the UAZ in one spot for about 8 hours, after that we used it to drive around the map, we must have parked it again there for a few hours, no longer than that. - The ATV left there was parked for around 1 hour since we had just fixed it (was totally broken). - The server was, to our surprise, mostly empty the whole day (we had joined the day before when 20 something people were logged in). - The camp wasn't static, since it was just the vehicle parked, no tents nor items left there when we were out. - We were moving fast throughout the map the entire time, we just came across a player near Solnichnyi (he was far) and we were shot at in Cherno from afar (no hits), that was the only player interaction we had for a day before the incident. - Friend A was actually quite paranoid most of the time and he kept close attention of players in and joining the server. Album: http://imgur.com/a/920sR Basically, a lot of stuff seemed strange, so we are reporting just in case, the last part is what we think hacking or scripting behavior. - He seemed extremely comfortable with running in front of 2 (the ones visible) people armed. - He should have died after my friend shot him. - He was nowhere to be seen when the third person came into the scene. - He went directly to the camp quite fast (there was a dirtbike in the scene, but he mustn't have used it or my friend would have hear it coming), the time seemed too quick for a using a bike to get there. - He knew where the camps was despite the lower player count the entire day and the fact that our "camp" was mobile, since it was just the car parked. - He spoke about the spot as our "other camp", so he must have thought the other tents we found during the day were ours. This is weird again due to the lower player count during the whole day. - He thought we had 2 camps and got to the one my friend was at in record time, silently. - Finally, my friend gets knocked down by a burst of light machine gun fire, but no damage received, and no timer on display, he keeps shooting at the body, but there is no visible change. Finally, when my friend logs back in his front inventory has been wiped out. Disclaimer: We were disheartened but not bitter about dying, we've had vehicles and the equipment we had before and lost it, the way we lost it was weird all around, so we are reporting just in case. We have had mostly a "pure" DayZ experience (almost no use of third party tools and wikis) so there could be things we are still not aware off.

Hey, was just wondering what's your favourite combination of weapons in this game? Here's mine: M249 (found in a tent near Stary) - this thing is a beast personal defence weapon. Can shoot faster than the Mk 48 Mod and has more bullets per clip. Much prefer it over the L85 just because of the sheer damage it can unleash in a short amount of time. Can also take STANAGs if you're running low on ammo. Perfect gun for hijacking vehicles, especially bicycles, motorbikes, ATVs (I suppose it would be quite useful against a chopper too) AS50 (found in a chopper crash site) - the mother of all snipers. This is the gun were I attempt to make 1000m kills (and sometimes succeed). Can stop a car in one shot and the bullet time isn't too bad even from extreme distances. You will need a rangefinder to get rough estimates of range for the long shots though. Revolver - my zombie killing gun. The ammo is quite common so I dont have to hit deadly areas just for pistol ammo. Has a nice amount of range and a decent iron sight so you don't have to get up close and personal with the zeds.

I used to hoard lots of stuff - heli crash sites drops, barracks drops, light vehicles & their parts (i.e. bikes, motorcycles, ATVs) But now both vehicles and tents are bugged, they're eating stuff, and it's kinda sad : (

You still have to abide by battle eye stuff and any black listed items for the mod, we for example can't spawn in any weaponized vehicles, but the server owner could turn tents into 'legal' vehicles, our entire clan had choppers and any gun we wanted by just asking, he even spawned in buildings to make an actual base (complete with medical tent, landing pads, guard towers, and working gates). Long answer short: you get some more freedom and do just about anything within reason, but you can still get banned by battle eye for certain things.

So some other guys that we had an ongoing seperate teamspeak battle with over vehicles ended up leaving the server but beforehand they had found the first chopper they ended up crashing it with one our group in the chopper as proof (he was friends with both groups), since then they chopper hasnt respawned we checked every spawn point including the old ones... it has been well over a month and no sign of a helicopter, what the fuck is going on o.O all other vehicles respawn fine!

I dont have vehicles and tents hoarded away stacked with everything in the game I usually just have and alice pack stacked with everything and a primary and secondary usually a lee enfield and a m1911. I have got the l85 tws and the as50 before but Why waste my time when I can 1 shot everyone with such a common weapon like a lee enfield. I hit cherno elektro a few barns and Im set and what else is there to do? shoot people and i just do that until i die.

Ive seen that ATV and the Chopper spawn there at the same time quite often. Dont think they share any sort of spawn mechanic or anything at all. Your chopper has probably respawned somewhere else, or not at all. (Ive got at least 2 servers that dont seem to have a chopper at all, even though theres lots of other worthless vehicles spawned that all reset on server restart).

I use the AS50 to counter snipe AND fuck up vehicles, though. But yes, they should do so. Delete System 32, as well.

I have rolled back my server to 1.7.2.4 however I am still having the problems with dissapearing items in tents and vehicles resetting. Would not having the latest beta patch for Arma2 have anything to do with this (currently at 95215)? Edit - Just more info: After updating to 1.7.2.5, everytime our server restarted everything would reset to as it was before the update, all vehicles would respawn and items in tents appear as they were pre patch. I then rolled back the server to 1.7.2.4 and it seemed to save again, once. Now we seem to have a different save that is reverted to everytime the server restarts (Different vehicle locations and tent items to what we had before the first update to 1.7.2.5). I have also seen the bug on my server where random busses appear in the place of other vehicles. This bug is hugely frustrating and game breaking as no-one can save anything on the server and is causing a lot of people to stop playing. Does anyone know how to successfully revert my server to 1.7.2.4?

i can confirm this. ALL vehicles were there and one disappeared in fornt of me earlier so i know they weren't driven. i got killed while there. i was also teleported before this all. The admins on this server is hackers defending themself... We have proof , if that's not enough we, we have a video recorded where we got banned for "hacking" where you could clearly see we did not. Long story short, we found a camp in Krutoy Cap and looted it, several minutes later 2 people ran up to a heli they just spawned and we killed them. Suddenly we got shot by a invisible guy just infront of us. The smoke came out of no where and we died.. That's when we derped around and they killed us by flying over us with helicopters. Somehow they knew where we were spawning AND where we parked our vehicles... I hope this server will be taken down and the admins banned if they havent been already.
