Guys! Singapore Server SG#00 has gotten a few requests to turn 3rd Person back on so to give a fair chance we shall have a vote. you can vote once, and ask your friends and stuff to vote to keep it off or turn it on. click here to vote : http://freeonlinesur...100861&new=true The reason this vote came up is because as unfair as it is for ambushes, and it does take away some realism ive recieved complaints that its as hard as hell to drive big vehicles with as mirrors dont work, and bicycles are impossible to drive =P so with that in mind. cast your vote!

This seems to be the case with all vehicles. If you save the Ural, it turns into a bus. If you save a bicycle, it turns into a motorcycle. The heli on Skalisky Island ALWAYS disappears and respawns unrepaired. Seems like they need a major overhaul on the vehicles. With regards to tents - if you take equipment out of the tent, then save the tent, it will NOT respawn. The key is to not save the tent after you remove items.

yea and the server in question is private, i have a little eqiupment but not much, when i get more im hoping to get some one in then log in myslef hand it all to em.. just a thought really the server i am on there is a bandit group that hoards the vehicles lol..

The AS50 weighs like 30 pounds. Not quite "immense." They do not require 2-man teams. A spotter is heplful but not needed. They are also used very often to engage human targets. They are capable of engaging vehicles but that is not their sole purpose. Many .50 calibers are deployed against human targets. More encumbrance features would be nice, and less accuracy while crouched, and maybe even some setup time but lets stop throwing around ridiculous and asinine misinformation for the sake of supporting the argument, okay? Just say "They're bulky and take time to setup." That's all you need to say.

I am an admin of a server and for some crappy reason my hoster will not install the plugins that will tell people it will restart. Only the hint of BE will say "server restaring in x seconds" and that's like 20 seconds before restart. Also on the previous update it gave me the same, had the server restart every 6 hours, server just restarted on me. Not saying that what you experienced was admin abuse, just saying it happened. Also I agree with Eatskittens on the fact that tents and vehicles are currently bugged. (No I am not an admin of DE 1307)

Here we go...another oh no something happened to my gear it has to be admin abuse post. Maybe the server just went down. Admins dont have the ability to "see" the fact that you have an ATV and drop the server to take it from you. If it is a 1.7.2.5 server vehicles and tents are known not to save. It happens move on.

I think you guys just need to hide your vehicles better. lol.

Although there have been thousands of topics about currency, I actually like your idea. The only problem is; you shouldn't call it currency ;) DayZ needs more different items and items should be rarer, so an economy will grow by itself. I don't think stuff like cigarets or other drugs (unless for health or boosts) should be added just so it can be used as a currency, but I'm sure it will be used as one when added. By adding more different types of weapons, and thus ammo, you'll create an economy of weapons and ammo. By adding more vehicles with unique parts (to repair), you'll create an economy of vehicles and parts. By adding more clothing and visuals (hats, glasses, etc), you'll create... I think you'll see where I'm going.

I like the idea of having these items, with an alternate use as a currency. Ofcourse, it wouldn't be pushed as a currency, but it would be useful, and abundant enough to used as such. Gee, because that's such a great system. Say, do you see much point in having various vehicles, because i mean, Sedan can do everything any other vehicle can do. What about guns? Why have more than one of each type? the rest is just fluff. Contrary to popular belief, this not actually realistic.

I generally log into one server (with my tents/vehicles, etc.) and even sticking to my one server I still occasionally get stuck at loading screens. I've been put at the coast several times by closing the game and trying to re-join the same server. The way I've been able to combat this problem is by keeping the infinite-loading game up while alt-tabbing back to dayzcommander (or sixlauncher) and joining the server again in a new instance of the game. If I'm able to get into the server properly on the second instance, I'll still be where I logged off originally and then I'll close the first instance of the game that's still stuck on the loading screen. If the second one doesn't work, just rinse and repeat. The most I've had to open at one time is 4 instances of the game before I'm able to properly load in my server, then cancel the rest. Hopefully this helps others dealing with this annoying problem.

I don't get it...where do you people have your vehicles/tents then? Probably on one server, right? So why not play on that server? Most of the people I play with, end up on the same server because of where all our vehicles & stuff are. Seems silly to me, to continuousy switch servers and have to walk 10km, when you can just as easily leisurely drive there... So, if you found one that fits your version, timeframe and has decent fps, consider staying there for a while and you'll have less of these coastal trips to worry about. Of course...if it's free serverhopping you're after...hmmm, not so good then...

I knew where you took the truck from the first time a you said you had found my camp. So after you posted about your street justice video I ran back up there and found the white truck blown up and all the tents destroyed. Really you did me a favor because that camp does belong to a hacker that keeps coming in the server. Did you bother to look at some of the contents of the tents? G36 Mags, solder clothes Etc. in them so I hope they stay destroyed. As far as finding my camp. Everyone in my squad will tell you I don't keep a camp as nothing saves anyway and as far as vehicles go I really don't care about them either. Only vehicle I like to keep if I can find one is a bike. So in the long run you didn't hurt me at all. This whole tread everyone keeps says I'm upset because you guys stole our trucks and cars which could not be further from the truth. I just still don't believe that you guys found in the manner you stated and I think you have proven my suspicions by all of your inconsistant posts. You all said that you had searched for day then you said that you were doing a grid search. Then there the hacked AS50 that you all said was in the ural when you stole it then said you all found it on a dead guy and put in the ural. As I have said before you should just find another server to play on. You and you're group would be happier sniping players in Cherno and Electro on another server. At any rate this will be my last reply to this thread.

Count yourself lucky, our chopper rolled into the sea two hours after it spawned into the game for the very first time after it was re-enabled and has never respawned since. We also have a few other vehicles at the bottom of lakes that do not respawn either, they just sit there, taunting us :D

at 8:19PM australian western time i logged into dayz sanctuary arkbox in this time i heard two people talking about changing the server from night to day for themselves, after this they spawned vehicles then one of them teleported.. arkwolf the admin of the server told them not to do so, then the hacker threatened to hack into his gear and strip him of it.. i listened and heard that arkwolf was recording the incident on fraps.. the hackers name was whiteboii, he was closely consorting with another player by the name of rhyz but i am unsure whether he also hacked. i hope this helps thankyou Edit: this was a private server, but it might help keep an eye out for this player if he hits up a hive server..

vehicles do spawn. I have seen fully mobile bus, we have found broken bus and broken car as well (trying to fix this one)

There never was an issue of it being legal or not. If it were illegal, there's no law in DayZ anyway, and people do what they need to survive. It's just that they use them indiscriminately in the game, against people who would not be a threat in any way, just going from point A to B, while the sniper is sitting in point Z on the completely opposite side. The reason for this is because they're powerhouses when it comes to accuracy and power ratio, the ammo is far to abundant, and the weapons are far to easily procured and handled. We do need weapons that are designed to take out vehicles in the game, since they are present.. but in that case it's a role that should be taken by a player that gives up shooting on-foot players where it is not neccessary.

Every vehicle on our server was reset to the spawn locations and in spawn conditions. Add to this the fact that vehicles won't save their repaired status anymore and it bassically means every vehicle apart from bikes are worthless. DayZ team - PLEASE can we have some kind of update on this issue!? It's really hurting the community of my server as no one can set up camps and repairing up vehicles is totally pointless.

I aint logged in today so i havn't seen the damage, are like all the vehicles just gone completley off the servers or do you thing they have just spawned back at their default locations?? if they have gone completley then DAMMIT im walking AGAIN and if they have spawned back to their default locations then DAMMIT im walking AGAIN! I was about to say never mind ill just go for a wander and hunt out some tents... but you say they have gone too?? DAMMMMMIIIITTTTT!!!

Im still waiting for the Hive fix that makes saving vehicles / tents possible again.. (dayZ is crappy with this not beeing fixed) Im waiting over 2 weeks now....

once we rebooted our server the tents/vehicles came back.. But still doesnt save shit half the time. Sigh.

i play on a private hive 100% of the time. the reason behind this: people using too much hacks on regular servers. the private hive i play on is the exact same thing as a regular hive, vehicles weapons and all. the only reason we use a private hive is because if we had a regular server we'd have to jump through hoops to ban a cheater that we caught. now, if we catch you, you just get banned. if you get reported we look into the logs and go from there. no bogus regulations telling us how to run our server. noone in our community scripts anything, as far as we know (im not the admin but im close friends with him). i dont see why its so frowned upon, its more fun to me than the actual servers, there are bandits, there are friendly's, and we have a good little community. no hacks, no bogus clan running everything, just DayZ the way i believe it was meant to be played. also private hive's prevent: alt+f4 (at least the usefulness of it, you cant connect to a different server and run away), "ghosting" behind someone in a firefight moving gear around servers to "free-farm" we play private but were more legit than most regular-server users.

All my vehicles, and camp sites across 5 different servers have been completely wiped off the face of the map after the Hive crashed earlier this morning...What is going on guys...fix your shit. How many times are we going to get fucked by bugs, programming deficiencies, hackers, and slow problem response times? waved off with a *shrug* "shit happens". I love this mod, but it seems to hate me so. It's an abusive relationship, and for now I'm too much in denial to follow good advice and leave it. Sitting here...telling all my friends "It's getting better...it doesn't happen as much any more." Whilst covering the bruises left on my psyche. I'll leave you Day Z...if you don't start treating me right! No...I was just kidding don't ......*Hive Crashes* WHY DO YOU ABUSE ME SO!

Do vehciles spawn on the server ? I'm very confused with this vehicles issues on 1.7.2.5 version

Just wanting to see what people like and dislike. Don't even try and correct me on what I have put in there.
