No no, sorry. I found the vehicles, but I had a group member/friend to fly the chopper and airlift me back to retrieve the vehicles [repeated process]. I have footage. Also, it wouldn't be hard to steal said vehicles by myself; all I would need is time. In fact, it's really easy.

No, not EVERY play with a vehicle is hacker, and you should slap yourself for thinking so. I stole a V3S, Heli, URAL, motorbike, offroad and something else from a group the other day. I left them a hatchback with all wheels blown out and a double barrel shotgun in their. The ultimate torture. Also, I've fixed up a bus, motorcycle, found a bike, fixed up an offroad, fixed up a GAZ, fixed up a UAZ and fixed up an ATV in the past weeks or so. In fact, several of said vehicles.

most of the times loot spawns..barns or firestations..deerstands or crash sites the second one of every life..i usually search for hidden tents or vehicles when i don't need so much stuff

Sorry for your troubles mate, had that happen myself. Few things to note... to my knowledge the DayZ mod config (which is set by DayZ) only allows 11 vehicles at one time on any given server. More than that & they are usually hacked in. Also, atm the DayZ database does not save tents & vehicle content... no matter what you ether from a player or admin position... tents & vehicles will always revert back on server restart, which most servers need to restart more than they do (6/8 hours). Vehicles do maintain there location on restart, hence the problem on many servers as players simply fly or drive vehicles into the ocean... server restarts & the vehicle respawns underwater. Unfortunately until DayZ fixes the issues on the backend saving items in tents & vehicles are pointless, having more than 11 or better stated.. 11 vehicles that you can actually use on land won't change & getting vehicles back at all via a server whip is again, not allowed even when requested my the Admins for the purpose of cleaning up old tents, vehicles, ect....

If you like to have the bejebus scared out of you by crazed hopping zombies or the tension of hearing another player's footfalls as they climb the stairs to your location. Maybe you want to bait a sniper into revealing his position for your team to take out. Or just wonder through the countryside slaughtering coos and living on your own. If any of those things appeal. Put your hand in your pocket and splurge. The stand alone is months away and the hackers are getting dealt with. Hopefully have a hive db reset in the next patch to get rid of all the tents and reset vehicles.

We have a helicopter and 4-5 vehicles, we have acquired them all legitimately but pretty much lose them every 1-2 days due to people using map hacks or hackers teleporting them. The other day the admin banned 5 people that ran straight to vehicles from fresh spawns. Don't assume everyone is a hacker, hacking may be rampant but far to often I see stuff being blamed on hackers when it's quite likely it isn't a hacker

try fixing the chopper on skaliciky island then, 14 hours on my own to get all the parts and repair it, always in fear someone would log in at any point next to is with the right parts to get airborne. it took an hour and a half with 7 of us repairing it.. unfortunately choppers dont magically appear 3k north of black lake! however most other vehicles and camps do ;)

Cause prick server owners, lock the server when it starts; hoard all the vehicles and hide them so other players cant find them. Just hope you get lucky and find someones hidden vehicle :)

Vehicles grow in the woods like mushrooms. Search, and you shall find. Stealing is a lot easier than fixing.

Restarting will fix it since vehicles aren't saving anyways on 1.7.2.5 LOL

Don't listen to the lies from this forum. The mod is fine. Most of the hackers were just banned and the hacks detected. The tents and vehicles are a little buggy though.

I like this idea. This will give a fair shot to players on every server to get vehicles that are usually being horded by clans.

If I am specifically hunting vehicles I always have a jerry on me. 20 litres should get most vehicles at least away from where you've found the car if not to a fuel point.

There is nothing wrong with hoarding vehicles, people bitch about it because they'd like DayZ to be more like GTA.

Better get walkin son. Kids these days, back in my day we used to walk everywhere. It didn't matter if it was from kamenka to krasnostav. In fact me and my buddies still walk everywhere, because fuck vehicles.

First, I want to point out that I'm not looking at the bugs with losing gear, duplicating or placement. Right now this is serving a purpose in the Alpha Mod because there are no ways for loot depreciation in game. But, no matter how well you hide your tent, it is going to be found in the game right now (even without hackers). Pretty much every tent I have had on various servers has been hit at some time. On many of them it was raided every night. And new tents would appear within a 1-2 sqr km grid with the same stuff I had in my tent. Other times the gear would be stolen along with vehicles or anything else I had there (or someone destroyed them). It was getting to a point where my gaming experience was completely revolving around scouting out my tent and the areas around it to try to identify where my gear went. And Rocket is talking about this Chernaraus+ map to possibly go up 200 players on one server, which is only going to amplify this. I already feel like in order to not be griefed every single day is being online 24/7 and protecting my tent. But I have a life and a full time career, so it can't be done. In reality though, why should I need to do this once the game has integrated an adequate loot table and better means of loot depreciation. I mean, if I had a tent, Id be sleeping in it when Im not "online" and if someone came along to steal all my stuff, someone is going to die. But its not just that. I also really don't like how tents last for so long after you die (3days). With this setup it means your never a fresh spawn. When you die you can pick up some food and water and head straight back to your tent to rekit out. It feels like this completely removes the concept of a new life when I can use equipment, gear and weapons I have from a previous life. Shouldn't tents be destroyed when you die?

I'm in favor of a wipe, not just of the hive, but of servers. No point in wiping the hive if I can just log into my favorite old server and regear, then spend some time shuttling the old stockpiles to new servers where I'll be up against a bunch of 1866-wielding nubcakes. Wipe vehicles, wipe tents, wipe wire and tank traps, wipe it all out. At the same time, completely revamp item IDs, so that anything that's scripted in that has the wrong ID can be spotted and eliminated, and the scripter banned. Cheaters will catch up, but it'll give us a few weeks, maybe a month or two of unadulterated test time, to see what the game can be without the wiggle room.

basically the server transmits positional data of anything you could care to know about in real time. People use mapping programs or ESP hacks to find vehicles, camps, players, heli crashes. It's pretty vile.

I have found multiple Mountain Dews. My character now has had one on him for over two weeks now i believe. All my other buddies have died one way or another. But i keep on truckin threw. Got close to drinking it though the other day due to looking for camps or vehicles in the north. Maybe the curse has jumped threw me to them since i have it and they dont. Not sure though.

many people play this style of "endgame" without understanding that there really isn't any end game at all vehicles just let you get around faster, the real endgame though is pvp, and no other game besides DayZ (only exception eve online) gets me this excited in pvp

It's been pointed out before but you are not listening. YOUR server is not working correctly with regard to vehicle spawns, yet you ignore this and go right back to blaming the game instead. Why don't you guys work out how to fix the server (other Lingor servers have working vehicles, get your shit together or stop fucking crying about it).
