the tale of my morning... i join my server to continue my run to stary of yesterday. well equipped and with my first ghillie suite in my backpack. shortly before i reach stary, i see another player running towards the city. friendly as i am i didnt shoot. now the time for my ghillie came, i went all stealth and shit. drop my alice pack, switch to the suite and zip, teleported to the beach with all the other players. i quit. rage number 1, my pack is gone, still laying on the ground near stary.... i join another server. rage number 2, i freshly spawn at the coast near electro, apperantly i got killed while disconnecting. i shit you not, after 15 seconds i get teleported again, along with all other players and all vehicles. this time i run, i have nothing to lose. i can escape, get teleported back, escape again, get teleported, and finally insta killed. sigh. i restart. again close to electro. i enter the city, loot what i can, until i get, surprise surprise, teleported again, this time to a bunch of nice guys in guillies and military weapons. you can imagine what happened. last try! again i spawn close to electro, this time on a very low pop server, dont want to get hacked again. i have a good run, find me some nice guns, an alice, map, matches, etc etc. eventually i go into the church. player! i call him, saying im friendly. he does not react, looting stuff in the church. i think he is friendly as well, but always keep an eye on him. eventually he starts shooting at me with his makarov, so i have to kill him. rage 3, my very first murder. stupid idiot. after leaving electro heading north, i get insta killed while organising my pack, being happy about my new toys.

Just two questions that needs to be answered.............. Have you and your friends already repaired and hidden all the vehicles, and if so, can I have one?

Just for those of you guys worried about us in iG hoarding vehicles/crash sites. We're not hoarding vehicles, so don't worry there. In total we have 2 hueys which are our main vehicles, aside from those we have 1 motorbike and 2 cars (Reasonable amount of vehicles for our group I'd say). We do have a hatchback we use for storage currently as tents are damn rare on this server, but that one will likely be parked somewhere people can find it when we are done with it. And we're gonna go easy on the crash sites from now on. We'll hit them, but will make sure we leave gear there for other people to discover as well.

He basically said - wheels and scrap metal should spawn with vehicles so you don't have to find the parts to repair them. The answer is 'no'. Shrooms. Definitely shrooms.

Take down those screenshots and copy and paste the particular log found in the createvehicle.log with the IP and GUID removed. You do not want to post that information on a public forum. The IP in particular since there are things that can be done to someone via having their IP address on hand. Do it quickly as well before a moderator just edits or deletes your thread. Also, just because there was a createvehicle kick doesn't mean it was spawning vehicles. Createvehicle kicks happen when your client fails to load into a server, or there's a mis-match when loading in(during the phase in which your body is in the debug plains) that you are actually a bird(seagull) so if that kick happens to look like "Player Name Guid #0 "SeaGull" "Player Name Guid #1 "Seagull" Then it's nothing to worry about. But still, post it up here. If you see a kick rest assured it's doing it's job. It's preventing people from executing that script, so even in a case where it's sketchy as to whether or not to ban that person, it's still going to auto kick every time anyway. For the record, anything that shows up in remoteexec.txt is 99% of the time malicious and should be banned for. It's usually shitty public hack scripts people found on google.

I stopped reading at " You and one other logged in during the fight.." I was logged in the whole time and I was miles away from the fight so the idea that you had of me being close by shows just how much you know. I can pretty much guarantee you haven't seen head nor tail of me within the weeks I've been playing, let alone tracking my movements, you massive fat curly tailed liar you. Anybody doubting this just has to search for UK125 admin abuse on Google and watch the revenge vid from the SaW clan. The FAGGOT ADMINS on this server store all of the vehicles off the map, which I'm pretty sure they shouldn't be doing.

As you can tell lots of people want to keep Berezino for themselves...What I want to do is a little bigger. My basic premise for encouraging this movement is that I think you need two things to establish a safe zone in DayZ: you need to be well equipped and you need numbers. I want to use Berezino as a place to evac community members too using cars and helicopters after they first spawn, they can then gear up with all essentials needed in (relative) safety from other players. Keeping and holding on too vehicles is difficult as an individual so numbers are needed to do it. Using Berezino as a base we can work in squads to raid the North for vehicles to be used for community purposes - such as spawn evacs, aerial support and medical assistance. We can also use the vehicles to raid military and helicopter crash sites for loot. Once our numbers are well geared we will be more capable of fighting back if attacked. Keeping and maintaining the server helicopter for community use will be the top priority. The helicopter will be protected at all costs, as it will be the core of our peace-loving community. The helicopter is our God.

I think DayZ deserves a vote. But more importantly it needs a bigger dev team because they seem absolutely swarmed. I'm a patient guy and will wait for fixes so I don't complain as much as others but the tents and vehicles need an urgent fix. To me it's the biggest problem. My buddies and I can put up with the graphical glitches as it's just a case of quickly flushing the screen or rejoining. But our server has emptied since the latest patch because the regulars can't progress. We rolled our server back to 1.7.2.4 just so we could save vehicles and tents again but it's still pretty empty most nights because hardly anyone is using this patch. To be honest I don't really care that much about dogs either. They'll just be bandit magnets. Zombie dogs would be a more welcomed addition, there's plenty of doghouses for them to spawn at, and they could be very rare to spawn and be a bigger threat. But right now, the major bugs have gotta be fixed before adding more stuff. Stabilize the game so at least the whiners have nothing to moan about and can only get excited about new additions to come. Complaints aside. You have my vote and I wish you all the best!

I was wondering if all those people who are moaning about the tents not saving, and dupping crap out every restart have even thought about what life would be like in game when they get fixed. I mean think about it.. just for a second... How long do you normally go before a hacker joins the server and insta kills you and you lose all your stuff ? think on it.. For me, its about an hour, I can play for about an hour on average before eventually and ultimatly a hacker joins spawns at my back and rapes me of my loot, hides my body and spawns all the vehicles into debug. For me the only thing keeping me in game is that Tents Dupe and I can and have resisted the urge to leave the game because of the hackers because I know that my tent is there keeping me in game. I want them fixed. But not until the hackers are gone, I can handle losing my kit, but not to a hacker who can kill me without me even having a chance to fight back. so think about it.......

Ok so, I've repaired the chopper on my server twice now, And after a restart it automatically re-appears on the spawn point. After EVERY restart it appears back there fully damaged except hull. I know there is currently issues with vehicles/tents with the vehicles not saving inventory and tents have the same gear in them again upon restart. But vehicles on my server still save where ever left. Except for the chopper... Does it hate me? It ain't easy getting it fully repaired fuel and hidden at camp so our clan can use it the next night, Especially when I do it alone at 4 in the morning. Can anyone offer a reason as to why it keeps returning to the spawn point? Today's effort i repaired it (I was on the island with rotor/engine/windowsx9 in my backpack ready to go) So I logged in there it was. Repaired engine then rotor, Then I did all the windows. I jumped in too make sure it needed 4 scrap metal, But magically after doing the windows everything was in the green (It was all red but hull before putting windows on) I thought this was strange. Anyway i went back to elektro as i still needed fuel found 3 jerrys whacked em in flew to three valleys then spent 15 mins filling the chopped (Takes for ever by your self :\) Now half way thru filling the chopped i checked the time, And noticed my server was about to restart (6am my time) So i stopped filling it, I got in it, Hovered it in the air for a min then landed, I ever used the scroll/save (Which I know only works for the inventory but I did anyway) I then sat back and watched it as others where on server. After the restart which went as usual no hiccups, I logged in and chopper is gone, Back to island damaged :( WHY??? tl;dr Chopper wont save after serve restart, Why?

I understand your frustration. And i'll monitor the situation closely and have a word if its get out of control. But if you could see what i can see you would know that there are still many vehicles which remain unclaimed - infact there are 70 vehicles on the map right now, and iG are hording less than 10%. Once i figure out how this damned forum works :blush: and get it up on /PDR we can decide what and when we do resets, soft resets of just vehicles etc once a month for instance, or a compelte reset of all characters, maybe even move between to lingor and cherno every other month etc.

Probably a new server and they wanted to hoard al the vehicles and didnt want you butting in on their patch lol, did you find the helo?

I'm not sure how to find the server now. The best thing everyone can do is Put "Desync" into any filter they can find. Any server that pops up should be the right one. It's no longer named US 23 but we are looking for a way to change the name back to that. It may or may not show up in DayZ Commander as the correct server, I'm unable to get it to show up but other people have had it work. To connect to the server you have to install Beta patch 96061 or higher and install DayZ 1.7.2.5, this can be easily done using DayZ Commander. No need to worry about tents or vehicles not saving with the latest patch now, it seems to be fixed, along with many other issues. We will try and assist anyone with any connection issues asap. While playing if you do happen to find a vehicle that seems to belong to another player, we would appreciate you making a note of it in this thread, it will help us know for sure that vehicles spawns are indeed fixed. You're not required to do this, it would just be useful. I really don't expect there to be any issues, I just want to catch them fast if there are.

The only thing that worries me and don't get me wrong they are a good bunch is that the IG's are going to start hoarding all the vehicles.

Sorry for repeating, was just saying flood control. But well, why just try "rebinarizing" the files, while Barb wire is fixed and Dead Bodies are fucking up the screen? I walk up near them and see them OK, but at distance they doom everything. Why not remove them and in their places make zombie spawn points? Seems more realistically to see zombie soldiers everywhere, instead seeing dead bodies and zombie soldiers. And another suggestion: The vehicles destroyed on the road. Why not make them zombie spawn points aswell and make loot to be found in them at a low chance? Evidently 1 loot spot and high-value, someone would place stuff in trunk and GTFO with the best they got. And the Humvees, the destroyed ones. Military zombies coming out of them, and a 10% chance of weps be found in the back of humvee. Even lower chance. And last thing to say: The vehicles on the road are rusted. The dead bodies aren't rotten, nor the zombies. Why the vehicles would rust so fast? Usually a vehicle rusts in 100 or more years if I am right. Make them static, but with cracked windows, either flipped on the road, either with broken engine, a failure wich would present the death of the people in the vehicle, but would keep the stuff OK inside the trunk. Or make them carbonized, seeming they may exploded.

you can sometimes drive a vehicle with red indicators.. we were able to fix only three wheels on a V3S with red engine, hull and tank and still managed to drive it away (although I don't recommend it) vehicles have different sized fuel tanks so it has effect on how many jerry cans you need for full tank but you can drive for a while with just one windscreen is only aesthetic

Is there anyway to get more vehicles on the server ?

It would remove 4 months worth of duping and hacker saturation on the servers. It will take quite a while before the situation becomes as bad as it is right now again. The best thing would be to hive wipe AND disable tents alltogether (save tents for standalone). Fixing tents would be good but hackers could still fill up non-duping tents with hacked in gear. With no tents they are limited to llegit vehicle slots since spawned in vehicles vanish upon daily server restarts.

Servers hesitate to patch because they think a previous patch was more stable/fun and that more people want to play it. As poll shows 85% so far would like a hive wipe. Hopefully server admins are also likewise enthusiastic. Although you may have a point though since most server admins run clans and have vehicles and large camps so they may be more reticent to support a hive wipe. But nonetheless i'm sure most of them are as bored as us because of the impact of mass duping. I'm sure a large numbers of servers would happily patch if it meant that some fresh fun was injected into the game. A fresh hive wipe with tents disabled (until tents can be fixed) would get me playing the game again. Right now i've taken a break because it's gotten a bit boring. Most of the people I used to play with left the game a few weeks back as well. Hackers will still be a huge pain, but it would alleviate one of the main drawbacks of day-z right now. Super super mass supply of bazillions of high end military gear. With no tents even if hackers spawned in crates, there would be no way to stockpile them and it would be a slow crawl back to saturation so wed have fun for a few months still

I did this crossbow challenge for a couple of days on my own initiative. It was massive fun but I was up in Berezino at the time and it was so damn quiet I ran into no-one to try it out on! That said, I acquired some nice vehicles and loot. I learned how to aim the crossbow by going into one of those industrial building with the big blue doors and shooting at the wall, doesn't take long to get the hang of it. I killed about 200 zombies in a couple of days, around 75% of which were headshots (I was practicing in case I ever had to use it on a player). I'd definitely recommend others try it.
