Brush yourself off and go find another vehicle and gear. Sucks but focusing on the loss will only make it sting more, take it from someone who has lost his fair share of awesome vehicles to bugs.

So I'm new to server admin, I'm not sure how to read the logs tbh and our server has been hacked three times within as many hours today. I've taken our server offline becasue its getting silly. All vehicles and tents moved to Solnichi island, invisible players where you can see the muzzle flash and puff of smoke from a players gun but you cant see the player. I'm getting funny things turning up in my remoteexec.log: "if (isnil ("trtrtrtrtr0n")) then {MYplayersobj hideObject true;};" "{ if((getPlayerUID _x) == '14157126') then { _x hideObject true; }; } forEach playableUnits;" Are these hacks, or am I seeing things where there is no evidence? Any help appreciated.

BTW, 2 weeks without matches or a map. Certainly doing it wrong. People who horde stuff in debug = bad. People who horde ANYTHING on map (vehicles included, whether we like it or not), are certainly "allowed" to do so as the capability is in game. Dupers, wells they're derpers. Hackers, with any luck they will discover that hacking video games causes rectal cancer, and spontaneous combustion. Otherwise, I haven't tried do make a tent in a VERY long time. But I will likely try to do so again soon, due to the fact that they save properly again. Play anyway you like, just don't hack, exploit, or grief, and you're AOK.

Hello there The armband ability is already built into arma. But it's just not enabled/programmed for many of the classes. Especially the civvies. But it IS doable and indeed works on vehicles and on *some* infantry armbands. rgds LoK

server is great fun, except of course for the corrupt admins. allow me to explain... Myself and my confederate 'Bum' found this server and where happily playing on it for 2 days and agreed with everything posted here so far. After jvo added the new vehicles we logged in and headed for the prison,hoping to upgrade our guns and gear. Shortly after setting off ,bum finds a spanking new SUV with an AS50 inside *SCORE*. we go back and save the gun in our tent. Next we drive to the prison and start looting-before long we hear a helicoptor piloted by what would turn out to be confederates of the server admin. so we drive off in the SUV chased my frantic LMG fire and the two of us are killed,no big deal. OK,we say-we have the AS50,lets shoot that sucker down next chance we get. However this is where the story turns sour,because whilst on my way to the tent,a heli piloted by our beloved admin is seen heading right for our tent location and sure enough when i reach the tent- the AS50 is gone,and different guns in its place. A real kick in the teeth, effectively saying 'here take these assault rifles,because we dont like your ability to respond to us in any meaningful way'. Later side chat talk confirmed that the admin,jvo "had to get our SUV back" and my response of "lucky the AS50 got stolen" was met with stony scilence. OK,so now revenge- we assume we are up against corrupt admin but what the hell. We follow our only plan which is to find and destroy said heli and SUV + whatever else they may have. Luckily the next day we spotted the admins heli flying back and forth from a certain area and assume this is their base location. We creep closer,takes us another day because of RL issues and then we reach the location. We spot zombies and then an AS50 armed player (xepher,also admin powers)climbing a tall building and we decide to try and flank. In front of us we continue to spot zombie spawns and advance,watching the hillside like madmen,expecting to get shot. CONTACT, both xepher and jvo are spotted in open ground and we engage,killing both and snatching up 'our' AS50. Victory? it was short lived. bum "we only came for our AS50" and then....... 2 days tracking and following a good hunch lead to myself and bum,being kicked from the server and then in subsequent group chat from the lobby we are branded hackers,and told we will get a global permanent ban. So if you want to play on a server controlled by corrupt admins,on a private hive- be our guest

To the guys that got us at sniper hill, Now that tents and vehicles are fixed my buddy and I decide to set up a camp. We head towards elecktro scouting sniper hill from the north first. On our way down the hill from the peak my buddy is on my left we're taking turns advancing while the other covers. I hear steps on my right (buddy was on left), I thought I was just hearing things cuz I stopped to listen and didnt hear/see anything. So we proceed further down the hill. My buddy spots a lone sniper well supplied with tools, backpack, and guns. He dispatches him and proceeds to check him out. I made the mistake of leaving my cover position to come down and loot as well. After about a minute shots ring out and i fall unconsious, no bleeding, no broken bones, but uncon. My buddy got hit with a grazing shot had to bandage but otherwise ok. He takes up a defensive position to cover and try and return fire but couldn't find them. After a few min he gets taken out and the 2 guys come down to loot us. I'm still unconsious about 1/4 of the hourglass left. First guy in camo comes down starts looting the sniper. He ran right past me and I'm hoping that he forgets to check my body or gives me enough time to get up and shoot back. No such luck though, had about 10% left on the timer when his buddy comes down and realizes I'm still alive and fills me full of lead. Just wanted to say well done and it was a blast, nice kills you earned them, enjoy my empty alice pack, m9sd, m16, and almost full toolkit, my buddy had a bit more but still well earned. We learned alot from that experience and am looking forward to our next encounter.

Just want to give everyone a heads up. They're rolling the update right now. Watching your email, they're sending out info on how to update. Also,just a note. After update, if you do not having any of your tents or vehicles just WAIT. They're still in the database but some people are having issues where the objects are not being found. They're currently working to sort that out. The stuff isn't gone, it's just not being called into the game properly.

Yes having a script kiddie log onto your server and teleport all the vehicles way the fuck off the map is fun!! I'd rather deal with occasional artifacting and problematic tent/vehicle inventory saving then having some fuck head take the fun away from the server.

I don't think anyone hates people that acquire and store gear. But people do hate people that horde more vehicles than they need or can actually use.

Restart the server, Kick/Ban the hacker. Restarting the server will put most vehicles back at their last save point. Do this immediately, by now it is probably too late.

And we mentioned we saw 'mYsT*TheNOX' suddenly having a chopper <2 minutes after all vehicles (including the chopper) were teleported to 'the hacker'. Would like to confirm this report, witnessed 2 vehicles suddenly disappearing next to me and saw said chopper above Berezino with mYsT*TheNOX as driver.

We were playing on DE 1081 19:21 (gmt+2) While we were driving we got teleported to an unknown place. About 20 Vehicles were standing around and someone started to shoot around. Friend instandly disconnected and i tried to save our Car. Directly after that we saw a Heli flying around with mYsT*TheNOX as driver.... do not know if he was driving when he was teleported, but i guess he was the hacker. people on the server: "V4in" "Dr. Nick" "mYsT*TheNOX" (expected script kiddy) "Sgt.Davidson" "Bir0m" "[uNA-A1]Owl[LtSC]" i just hope the standalone will come soon.... this week i've got 8 hacker encounters....

This Server is working 24/7 and is Full saving tents/vehicles! It is 1.7.2.4 because 1.7.2.5 is NOT saving tents/vehicles! This is not fixed by the official DayZ Mod Supporter! This is going to be fixed with 1.7.3 and then the server is going to be updated to the latest Patch and beta Patch! The Server is held up-to-date with the latest Beta Patch! Please join and have fun! If you want your vehicles to reset, just restart your server. It will respawn the heli. That is what he asked for, that is what I told him to do. Venthos you must have some kind of social awareness problem because the OP clearly just didn't understand what he meant by restart, he just wanted the helicopter back. Once again, I'm gonna give you leeway and assume that you have a different host and maybe restarting your server doesn't respawn all your vehicles. Hell, you claim that a restart would wipe tents which has never happened to me so obviously things work differently on your server (or you don't understand it, can't tell really because you got all defensive). It does for me on my server though, so if you don't know what you're talking about maybe just bow out of this thread gracefully and save some face instead of calling me "dumb".

Right i have a suggestion about the blue box things on wheels. I thought that it would be good for the vehicles that are able to hook up to things, the tractor for example, should be able to hook up to those blue box trailer things and these should be able to carry a large amount of items so you could drag around a home basically. Also if it is able they should be enterable and easy to hook/unhook so you can unhook it and leave it somewhere. So cheers

In a couple days the server is going to receive another update adding roughly 40-50 more vehicles. This will bring the final spawn location count from roughly 50 to 160 or so. Also as a heads up I am not updating the server to 1.7.2.6 until I am sure it is not going to be more harm then help. Figuring that out will probably take the next couple days while the other servers find the bugs and problems. I know there is a already a problem with the debug menu and hunger/thirst so it will be interesting to see what else pops up. The vehicles and tents saving properly is nice but it really isn't currently a problem on lingor420 and hasn't really ever been.

This is the guy I was talking about, some self entitled asshat who thinks this game is finished. Who gives a shit about your gear and tents, cry me a river I have lost so much stuff and never whine like an idiot. The vehicle issue is a pain but if they ever fixed the debug plains and forest and wiped any gear stored there this problem would not exist (you would just find more vehicles stored on the map). Finally, nobody gives two shits that you were killed by someone, brush yourself off and go gear up or quit. Met at least one last night (teleported to our location and I know this because I watched him appear and head straight for us) and then was killed by a L115 (hacked sniper rifle) and once again know this for a fact because we killed two in the group (including the sniper) and found all hacked weapons. Still happens but admins can ban without all the fuss.

I can't stand bandit's with ghillies and AS50's killing new spawns in cherno and elektro. It would soley be a squad for fighting and gathering gear on the northern part of the map, and finding/repairing vehicles. Only reason I would even venture south would be to counter snipe douchebags picking on new spawns in cherno or elektro.

Christ sake. I am not coming here to ask how or if I can do this for the explicit purposes of getting a helicopter. The fact I want this done is because it appears that a hacker has taken the chopper. There was a hacker box next to it with you know EVERY item in it. So obviously that is how he fixed it. I am investigating the server further for other vehicles to see if they have in fact gone missing as well. the server has been up a week at the most. So to reiterate. I want my server restarted so that the hacker abuse can be undone. I very much doubt people have put lots of camps up in such a small space of time when there has only ever been 10 at peak times on this week.

Lots of bad information there. If you read the original post, you would see he's explicitly asking about how to: "reset the vehicles and even wipe all the tents etc at the same time on the server" He's asking this because he noticed the chopper gone and a hacker had spawned a gearbox in its place. He's now afraid he's been screwed out of vehicles/has spawned gearboxes all over and wants to "reset" his instance ID to a brand new one. He is not asking how to just simply restart the server. You just read the word "restart" and made wild assumptions. Of course restarting the server isn't admin abuse. You really thought that was the train of thought here? I hope you feel dumb here, because you are. You'd have to be to think that 3 different people in the thread are all claiming it's admin abuse to issue a server restart.
