Non-DayZ Vehicles? (Chinooks plz >_> )

Well I have a new Bliss Hive server and it is possible to add the vehicles to the database and them "appear" but you have to push out the updated files in a manner similar to Takistan. I'm not sure exactly how to do it, but I know it CAN be done. -
Any Tips For Finding Vehicles?

Go to "Pobeda dam" always somthing there or at "black mountain". And if you see vehicles riding at same spot over several days it's a good indication a camp is nearby / or in a general direction of the map -

Would both cases require that the players who join the server need to install new/more files? I've noticed that some of the newer maps appear to have vehicles on the ban list, perhaps I'm mistaken, but wouldn't that, if true, also ban those vehicles? -
Vehicles that have taken damage over time and maintained regularly would gradually allow oneself to recreate blueprints of said vehicles. Finding different types of vehicles and maintaining them allows you to have multiple blueprints of different vehicles. These blueprints can be used to create the very same vehicle you have owned but would take significantly more time to recreate. However you could work in the comfort of your safety zone to create these vehicles once you have gathered all the necessary parts. Having multiple blueprints provides you with the ability of creating a vehicle that wouldn't normally spawn on the map. If such a vehicle maybe stolen they cannot be repaired by anyone else apart the owner of the blueprint. What you guys think of this idea? p.s. Vehicles should be able to tell you how many miles you have done so as to tell if the vehicle has been running for quite a while.

In my opinion people are quitting for two main reasons: 1) No more updates. In the beginning it seemed like updates were coming every couple of weeks each time the game changed (for better or worse) giving you a reason to play to see the changes. 2) Hackers. The hacking situation has become ridiculous. Why bother creeping around slowly building up your loot when any minute an invincible soldier can teleport to you and kill you. I played on 4 separate servers the other night each with middle population and each death was due to hackers. I understand that the reason for 1. is all the effort is going into launching the standalone before War Z comes out and that once it is out it should solve 2. So until it does I may pop on every now and again for a bit of Elextro mini game but putting the effort into building bases, fixing vehicles is not worth it when it is taken away so cheaply. -

I hear that rMod essentially loads itself after dayz and unbans a lot (all?) of the vehicles. Note that both your server and your players will need the custom mods loaded along with DayZ. If it doesn't work as expected, or you want to actually customize things further, then you need the various Bohemia Interactive tools to essentially do some mod development and edit the PBOs. The newly changed PBOs will then need to be signed by you and given to your players and hosted on your server. It's a bit of a steep learning curve if you've never done any sort of mod development with Bohemia Interactive before, but once you're up and running it's not too bad. In either case, you'd need access to either add new mods entirely or overwrite DayZ's existing PBOs for your server (depending on the route you go). -

Stop whining and find a toolbox. I used barbed wire to fortify an active outpost in a dense urban area, though it is enter-able and not completely blocked off. Also most vehicles can knock it down. Wire that is, my outpost is better than that. -

Server restarts didn't help in getting the vehicles to their spawns, so we asked the cheater/hacker (who came to us in the first place offering help, not the other way around) to destroy all the vehicles in the server so they can spawn again, because no one on the server had a vehicle due to some retard teleporting them all (if I understood well) outside the map. We wanted the vehicles in their original spawn so we can find and repair them, and we didn't do it for us, we did it for the good of the server and other players on it. -
Totally loving lingor, more vehicles, more mil-spec loot, more action. Have had better player interactions there too. Taking a nice holiday from chernarus and enjoying the sun. A quick story. The other day I got an M24, and headed to an elevated position in calamar to snipe. Local time was around 0600, and whilst the server was lo-pop, sure enough I get a contact within 5 minutes. Watching this guy (asterix) move, I know he is gonna be a hard target. Always running, he never stops, sprinting through the residential buildings to the west of the airfield. When he gets within 300m, I say fuck it and start shooting while he is still running. Miss, miss, hit, miss. I tag him but no KO, and he is in a building. He proceeds south, using the buildings for cover, whilst I hock the occasional 7.62 at him. In side chat, he asks another player if said player is the bastard shooting at him. I chime in, and identify myself as the bastard In question. He wants to loot the airfield, but knows he is fucked with me on overwatch. I explain my bandit disposition, but propose a compromise. I will let him live, and assist his looting, if he blood bags me, and of course, I know he needs a blood bag too. We strike a deal, and amazingly, he does not kill me on sight. I assist his loot run, we hit the hospital, and heal up. We decide to roll together for a while. I had spotted a Ural earlier, so we check it out. Loaded to the gills with guns! We hop in and head north, and apart from one small misunderstanding (with shots fired) when I accidentally drove off without him, we are all good. That is, until I prang the Ural into a roadblock, destroying it and killing myself. He survived though. I bequeathed him my M24 and Alice pack, and wished him luck. Until next time, my little Gaulish pal!

Invisible wall at edge of map?

They must have placed a setDamage 1 trigger on the edge of the map. I think it's fair to allow vehicles and tents to get deleted after an hout outside the map, but this seems a little excessive. -

Hello everyone, since I have had enough of the hackers / scripters and have seen what the private hives have ( such as custom scripts and custom weapons etc ) I took an interest in them, at the moment I'm looking for a good server near the UK which maybe has alot of vehicles, custom weapons or a custom script for the Chernarus map, can anyone recommend a server for me?

specialization is the key and would be a reason to team up. I'm amazed at how everyone is an expert in operating all military vehicles, guns etc. Give specialist roles where only certain guns can be operated by so and so group and poof you will see better cooperative play. There needs to be some balancing with backpacks as well, maybe engineers have more slots for gear but cannot carry many weapons etc, right now it's just too easy to play multiple roles without too much hassle. -

I'm thinking the vehicle crafting Rocket was talking about will probably be more along the lines of reinforcing vehicles with armour or whatever. Crafting a vehicle from scratch seems a little ridiculous.

DayZ: Night Life, the way it should be IMO

As stated before a great idea. I liek the potential of it affecting NVG and thermal tools, this would render them almost useless in lit up areas, A gameplay changer. Groups or teams of people could make it their gameplay of choice, An engineer if you will. repair vehicles and repair downed facilities without an actual class system. I would love to be part of a community in game with a specific role. From medic to security and everything inbetween without breaking any realism. It goes without saying after 5 years there would not be any working infrastructure in Chernarus, so Player interaction would be needed. Isn't there also a Generator in Arma 2? it could be ported in and allow a means of powering most basic elecrical systems. It could not however power a whole power station, so I'm wondering could here be a re-fueling vehicle near an airport for example? Or perhaps a ship yard tie in? (On a long note a train delivery, but admitedly this would take the game away from the apocalypse scenario) Fuel would eventually run out and is not a finite resource so could scavenging vehicles etc, produce a sustainable source (think spawning items but in motorised forms) -

I was playing it last night, ye in buildings specific for this map, there was almost no loot, but search for loot able building that u know from Cherno map, there should be loot. And than there is an airfield with like 20 barracks, and hangars... But i didn’t like the map, its boring and all u have to find is an AS50 or m107 and head to the desert (not my game play style but sniper kiddies will do it for sure..) and find an elevated point, lie down and snipe...unless u are in the Cities, u can be seen from over 1 km away... But if u like vehicles, that is the right map for u, my teammates found like 5 choppers, cars with guns mounted etc.. And yes if a Infected gets agro on you in the desert he will chasse u till the end of the map, or the next city u come across, no trees to hide in the desert… My favorite map is still Cherno… -
Lets face facts, this game has some serious problems (not that this is a complaint thread). There are some simple solutions but they aren't very pretty and come with their own drawbacks, but they are (IMO) the lesser of the two evils. I'll list the ideas below, if you are a hack or exploiter don't bother posting a teary sook, no one cares that you will be back on a level playing field. Unlootable bodies - I know this idea will never be popular but it will help reduce the massive problem of needless player killings without affecting the game to much. It will also help reduce people teaming up to cause havoc, if they can't get their buddy to bring them their gear and have to start again from scratch they will be less likely to risk their lives. Vehicle resets - Every vehicle will reset after an hour of no being used, simple enough? No more hoarding by clans, no more finding a vehicle then hiding it for a week so it can't be used. If a vehicle sits unused for more than an hour then it resets and goes back to a spawn point. This will free up the vehicles for the general population to use instead of the elite few who have them now, the end result will be that vehicle will be a lot more easy come easy go. Tents die when you die - Tents can still be used but when you die so does your tent and everything in it. Will stop people being killed and running straight back and gearing up, it will also act as a punishment for death and make people more cautious with their lives. As I said they are not perfect solutions, each one has it's own drawbacks and will still have loopholes that can be exploited but the total net effect will be positive, I think the game would be a lot better off if we introduced these sorts of fixes then worked from there to try and improve them. What do you all think?

New Server going up Tomorrow NEW MAPS inc. Fallujah and Takistan

Sorry For takistan and fallujah ONLY. Sorry i should have been more clear on that, and for these 2 maps this amount of vehicles is completely necessary. Chernarus etc will have 30 Vehicles. Please bear in mind that 15-20% of these are old pushbikes and they dont all spawn at same time. Thank you Legacy. -
Anything that makes hoarding vehicles easier gets a categorical 'no' from me... You were probably hiding all those vehicles on the edge of the map and only getting in them often enough to stop them respawning anyway.

Wtf is that thing Radiix. starting to second guess the whole coorperation thing lol ;) And Fraggle, Lingor is fun heh, you gear up like a motherfucker in 10 mins and vehicles are just everywhere, i mean everywhere heh. Big ass cities and alot of water :) And some serious jungle :) -
How to find vehicle spawn point from logs?

would also like to know how to interpretate the coordinates. A scripter portet all vehicles of our server and all players to his location, killed everyone and moved the vehicles to an unknown location. We got the logs but we do not find any vehicles till now.
