Can anyone suggest a server with a decent amount of vehicles and good kit?

Hi guys, been playing dayz for about a month now and love it but my group that plays are starting to get a little bored with having to spend half their time finding and repairing a vehicle. The map is simply too big to fully enjoy on foot, I don’t want to use hack maps but don’t mind a server that has a few little tweeks like extra equipment at the start. I have found a couple of decent servers but as soon as I’m settled in to one it either gets password locked or its linked to some kind of mod that I don’t have. It’s a great game though and I know it’s never really gonna be a pick up and play kinda game but I just want a server that is a bit easier to get up and running on. -
Vehicles don't just explode. You must have crashed it into something, had a player shoot at it or a zombie hit it.

Thought I'd List some of the new changes we added to the server... -Increased Cursor Target Range (So you the scroll wheel options appear when your are further away) -Fixed Debug Monitor (Now shows correct stats) -Added a option to Flip Vehicles (such as ATV etc) -3x Zombie Count -2x Animal Count -Slightly Increased Zombie Damage -More Vehicles (70+ Vehicles and 5 Helis) -US Based Server The server is running on Expert with third person and all other settings off. Currently Working On: Removing Car Wheels from other cars (steal another players wheel to fix your own car) -

I've been thinking on attempting to form a trade faction. If existing factions agree to it, and if King Scuba allows for it, I'd like to procure a Ural/VS3 as well as one or two other, lesser value vehicles like a Gaz or an Old Hatchback. I'd then make runs between different factions, procuring various needed supplies in barter trade for other supplies that different factions need. Possibly even provide transport. Still thinking it over, though. Might not be much need for a Trader's Faction. Also, for some reason I'm completely unable to place any tents. This is unfortunate, because my inventory is completely full and I need to store away what I have before venturing back out into the wastes for more supplies. It's sort of bumming me out. -
Vehicle respawn during server restart?

necro... as of 1.7.2.6 most vehicles save their position when saved, there are a cpuple servers in which this doesn't happen, for aome reason -
as a bandit you can have more stuff, steal vehicles..i'm sure you find soon a camo clothing with the same resistance to 9mm bullets, and quite easy a good car.

Hello guys. Thank you for looking at my thread. I have set up a new Fallujah server with Vilayer Ltd and I am pleased to say that we are now online and looking for more players. We have two main admins on the server, myself and xJon3sy. We would like to invite you to come along and join in the fun that has been going on our server over the past 24 hours. The server so far has attracted many different types of players, there are a lot of 'friendly' players that come on our server and team up and try to survive, and there have also been squads of bandits that are hunting survivors down! So whatever your play style, you're more than likely to fit in on our server. What makes our server different from the rest? - Active Admins - Our admins are indeed very active, and are online pretty much everyday day. If you have any concerns regarding cheaters then you know that a server admin will be present at most given times. Should a server admin not be online, then you can contact the server owner (me) via email: [email protected] - Side Chat Disabled! - Ever join a Fallujah server and you have players constantly using voice comms in side chat rather than keeping it to direct chat? With side chat disabled, this is now not an issue on our server. Side chat is completely disabled so you won't have to worry about any interference or inconvenience to your time spent on our server. - 80 Vehicles - This is the maximum amount of vehicles that can spawn on our server. We have enabled this so that every player that joins our server has the chance to get themselves some wheels, or even a chopper! - Anti-Cheat - Our server is fitted with the latest up-to-date anti cheating script that will prevent players from cheating on our server. We realize that cheating on DayZ will continue to occur now and again but we are committed to dealing with this particular issue and making sure that it is kept to a bare minimum on the server. They spawn as regular vehicles in Fallujah dumbass... We have not yet found the sweet spot for repairing them though...

Nope..it was just the two of us. There is no point in having a UAZ along with two bikes. I've never had much luck to do with any vehicles..they always disappear for one reason or another. We figured they would have to come to Electro after taking their bike and they did so we stole their second bike while at one of the Electro firehouses. They left after that as previously stated along with having a UAZ nearby.

Today was a recreation day for me, and I didn't do anything dev wise or what not. Spent all evening on the server. Looks like we got up to 15-16 at one point. Pretty nice for its 2nd day. To whoever had the Skoda between Starry and Novy... sorry. We pulled up to the Starry tents just in time to see you drive Eastward. We followed and saw you bailed roadside to run at the heli crash out in the field. I fired a couple 203 HE in your general direction to keep you at bay and we scooted away with the car. A fair amount of vehicles have been exploded/crashed it seems. Most notably 2x UH-1H and a Littlebird. I'll be setting more vehicles to respawn tomorrow (I still need to perfect the vehicle spawning algorithm to make sure at least X of a given type of vehicle spawn) A few bugs have been found, and I expect to push out v0.1.2 tomorrow evening/night. This may or may not put back the MP5 SD and M9 SD. Still undecided. They'll be quite rare, if so. Thanks for the ideas, BIOSEMTEX. I'll take them into consideration. Some seem pretty neat. Thanks to those playing on the server as well and making today a fun day. If all goes as planned, v0.2.0 will be out this weekend at some point (signifying the addition of some "new neat mechanic/feature". -

No one is banned for using non-hack programs (like Fraps, overlays, etc.), picking up or using hacked in-game items, weapons or vehicles, being on a server at the same time as a cheater, or other passive non-cheating activity. Therefore all requests mentioning these things as possible reasons for the global ban are ignored. -

This could be interesting and deadly!... I hope there are no bandits waiting in the banana yuccas, ready to pounce on some poor racer ;) -
Two stories, friendos. Okay, so I was playing on the Survival Ops - Hard Corps Private hive server alone. I was at the NWAF to try and see if I can find one of the new vehicles they added, but to no avail. I moved on, but as I was leaving, I hear a gun shot. Had to be a G36C (legit, it's part of Hard Corps). I proned my way over, until I aggro'd a zed, and I broke into a sprint to lose it. I ran through a pine tree, and then I hear two more shots, and this time two cracks accompanying them as the bullets hit the ground near me. I sight up with my AKS74, and he fires again. I get hit in the shoulder, and go prone. I don't quite know where he is, other than he is in front of me. I fire half my mag into his general direction, then get up. I see 3 zeds sprinting towards someone that's not me. I follow their movement, and bang. I see the guy. He sees me too. I get behind a tree just as two more shots land near me, one grazing my shoulder. I lean out, and clear the rest of my mag. Not enough. I reload, and see he's on the ground, and the zeds are feasting. I drop the zeds, and walk up to his unconscious body. A three round burst to his skull gives me a murder and a death message. I take his GPS, M9 SD, G36, Coyote Backpack, and some more stuff assorted things. Just then, the server restarts....And I was in shock lol. STORY TWO I was playing on Lingor, and night was falling. Eventually found me at an Airbase. I see fire in the distance, and aggro'd zeds, so I follow at a distance. Then, all of a sudden, an M240 opens up on me. I prone, and go into the woods, and bandage my wound from the one time he hit me.I keep going. Eventually, I see it's a crashed chopper. I prone over to it, and fine an AK-74 with 4 mags. It'll have to do. Now, a zed wanders too close to me, and aggro's. I sprint for the triangle shaped hangar things, and go inside one. I find another AK mag in there, and grab it. I go out the other side, and I crouch out the back door. Just then, I see movement. Two guys, both have assault rifles. I crouch by a tree. They stop, and the point man looks at me. I look at him. He was deciding if I was a player or not, and I decided to let him know just what I was by a five round burst to his chest. We all prone out, and the most intense gunfight I've ever had breaks out. I focus on the wounded guy. Half a mag later, and he's dead. I start firing on the guy who's left, and drop him after a mag and a half. I get up to gtfo, and then I hear M240 shots again! I have no idea where they're coming from, but I get hit in the skull and drop like a sack o potatos.

watching for vehicles in my logs

I believe that's normal, if you're at least getting spawns, all the vehicles will spawn over time, you're not going to have 80 vehicles to repair everytime the server restarts, I think they only spawn in a radius of 2 km from any player that logged out up to 30 minutes before the restart, BUT all the other vehicles, may spawn over time, but there is a vehicle cap on the server and also a vehicle type cap, so you won't have 10 helis, or 20 UAZs, in a normal server only 1 huey spawns, and if that huey gets destroyed, another will spawn a week later, and that's about the same with other vehicles, but in a different scale, like if there's 5 URALs on the server no more will spawn until one gets destroyed and 4 hours later one more will spawn and that's how it goes EDIT: I forgot to say that it also spawns saved vehicles -
We were just minding our own business on a low populated server with our ducklings at the beginning until we ran into some bandits. We decided to have some fun with them by taking their vehicles. We already had a UAZ nearby and it was just the two of us so we disposed of the bikes. Soon after the two of them left some group of script kiddies joined and spawned in a bunch of vehicles along with teleporting and such. I think a lot of people here are missing the OPs point: vehicles aren't hard to find, the problem is admin abuse on clan owned servers where the admins hoard all the vehicles. I've personally experienced admins resetting their servers to get vehicles back as well as kicking players and locking servers while they get back stolen vehicles etc. Combine that with the fact that admins can also check their logs for all saved vehicle locations and you have the situation where clan-owned servers are hoarding all the vehicles on a permanent basis -
I rented a private server for HFB a couple of days ago and, like many others, I didn't see any vehicles on Day 1. So I read through alot of the posts here and figured that I'd be patient and wait a few days to see if things start happening vehicular-wise. After Day 6, and no vehicles to be seen, I started taking a look at the server logs to see if I could grok out whether or not the server was posting info regarding the vehicles after the daily reboot. Here is what I'm seeing at around the time the first of us logged into the server. So, I can see that my server is spawning vehicles, but only a handful. Here's my question: Should I be seeing all of the vehicles spawn at the same time, map-wide? Or do they trickle in as they're discovered and then get saved and spawned at server reboot like the tents are? -Seth US296

**DO NOT*** do this. If you are going to delete in game vehicles, you will need to find them in the "objects table." If you do as this person says you will be permanently deleting spawnable vehicles. Your patience is appreciated - 12-24 hours is the setup time. If you remove the tractor that's spawned from the database it may spawn the same tractor or something else. It's randomized based on spawn chances (look at the "chance" column in "spawns" table) Yes, based on your server settings. No, you'll have to modify the "pos" column in your "objects" table to move the location of the vehicle. I recommend not doing this unless you know exactly what you are doing. We're looking into installing rMod which will allow this. Please research rMod, it's client & server side. -

Wow. Looks like you got some serious interest here Venthos. Kewl. I have some ideas, use them or ignore them, especially if they are impossible or stoopid. I am a big boy, I won't be offended. Ideas for flares: Attract zombies like smoke grenades do. Do damage like cans and bottles do (setting zombies on fire would be nice). Ideas for Jerry cans: Shoot them they explode. Pour gas on ground, throw flare at spilled gas, buuuurrn! (setting anything on fire is always nice). Ideas for eating/drinking: Fill water bottle when it rains. Eat fruit off trees in orchards. Drink water from pumps and dams even if you have no water bottle. Eat raw steaks (gives less blood but is an option). Degradation and repair of vehicles (toolbox a requirement to fix vehicles): Regular maintenance with toolbox stops vehicle degradation (once a day or it loses 0.1). Where the vehicle is hidden (in the wilderness loses 0.2 per day it is not used). New item: Oil (10 uses per can, used with toolbox restores some vehicle degradation). Medical system: New Item: Medical kit (rare item, uses backpack slot, unlimited bandages, morphine, epi pen, painkillers, antibiotics and chloroform). Ok, so that is some of the stuff I have thought about over the last 3-4 months. All the folks that have already suggested these to sprocket & Co. Ltd. I didn't steal your idea, we just had the same one independently <----- pre-emptive flame retardation -

Adding to that picking up fresh spawns in vehicles is a neat thing to do, don't keep them around long enough for them to shoot you and steal your ride but give them a ride to the town/city/unofficial deathmatch arena of their choice. I know this has been done to death but I still get a warm fuzzy feeling inside when a ghillie suited m107 toting badass gives me a ride in his (I'm not making this up) F***bus. -

An excellent server, i've been playing on it for a couple weeks, and it's exceptional. The players are friendly, there are vehicles for everyone, and you can actually say "friendly" without getting turned into a gooey mess. -
On the FOURTWOZERO DayZ server we are trying to create an environment, on public hive, that caters for styles of playing that are normally ruined by deathmatching players, scripters, and hackers. On our server you will find we encourage players to take the game a little more seriously. By following a few simple guidelines, we hope to establish a server that offers more opportunities for player bases, trading outposts, supply camps, medics, and more. If this sounds like something that interests you, you’re already someone we’d like to have as a part of this movement. We keep a close watch on our server, and we'd like to attract the right-minded people to play on our server and call it home. Our server is home to a healthy population of regular actual friendlies, some bandits who take their role seriously, trading outposts, supply camps for fresh spawns (also useful for you loot cycling noobs), and more.
