Well he has just effectively closed his mod to me and many others because he is trying to do what he thinks is right. I am able to look past my own disappointment and respect his reasons for doing it. It is quite easy to get emotional about this game. I suggest you give him a little while to cool off and ask to be whitelisted again. His mod is precious to him, you should respect that, not give him 15 reasons why he is stupid for being emotional over it, at a time when he is feeling very vulnerable, because his work has just been violated. Surrounding yourself with yes men is never a good idea for a leader, however, venthos is also a creative person, an artist even. Let him be passionate about his art and he will make something beautiful for us. If he wants to be angry about people using his work before it is even finished, that is his choice. Possibly not the healthiest choice, but it is his to make. Somebody vandalized my San Pedro cactus to get high. Should I be able to not be pissed off because I knew that someone would? Let's hope venthos does not do with his mod what I did with my cactus.

I am assuming your post was directed at me, my post was not specifically directed at you, more the people that stole venthos' code to make a profit for themselves. But if the cap fits, wear it. And yes I did read your posts on redux and even agreed with at least one of the points you made, I was very aware of all the others as being based on 'fact'. I am sure you feel strongly about your opinions, and being devil's advocate is something I am all too familiar with. But, venthos is a person and should be treated like a person, especially by a community that would not exist without dedicated people like him who do what they do because they love it. When degenerates come along and treat him like a mule that is only there to pull their wagon, I think that is wrong, and so do many others. Apathy is the decay that taints our modern culture. I hope you can understand why we would like to protect and support him as a person and not a mule. Even if it is just for a computer game.

You will know where the map ends because there is not even any grass on it. The loot maps on the net are incomplete. You can go a long way north and and a short distance west beyond most of the popular loot maps.

The combat log system has worked flawlessly for me up to this point. However, I have problems with desync, cos I am in New Zealand, so it is probably just a matter of time until I fall foul of it, undeservably. (<---is that a word?) The problem with the internet (bear with me) is that everyone acts as if they won't get caught. "The true test of a man's ethics, is in how he would act, should it be possible to never be caught", quote from somewhere (kudos ancient dude) perhaps Rome Total War splash-screen, I can't remember... Point is! Give them a 25% chance of dying on disconnect (oh dear, the RNG). That's a 75% chance they will live if it is an accidental disconnect (btw I try to never shoot zombies if at all possible, definitely don't start shooting them if you are yellow-chaining), but also, a 25% chance they will get caught. Let them roll the artificial death dice, if they want to play dirty.

In regards to your events plans and heli crashes. I read a post ages ago that suggested the choppers could be operated by AI and flying around for a bit before crashing. That would be really cool, especially if you could shoot them down! I like the idea of NPCs as well. Lore: They could be a special forces squad sent in to perform a mission maybe? (e.g. search and rescue of a ditched pilot or, clear area at cherno to recover sensitive item from safe in the hotel or something). Any remaining government forces would be at the mercy of our anarchic environment.

Heh, Shadybitz and I always seem to end up doing things we shouldn't and getting ourselves killed. Especially in that area and usually with a blue van. The funniest time was when we both got killed because shady fired his Enfield in the supermarket and drew every zombie in that town on to us. The time I accidentally threw a grenade was not so funny... but you get the idea. If you had called out friendly we definitely would have tried to kill you, so you made the right decision there. I was already lucky to be alive at that stage after bumping into someone in the forest near Berezino and he let me live (shoulder wiggle ftw), being shot up while driving the van by some guy with an AK (I almost bled out from that one) and then having you snipe us while we were having a good ol' aussie BBQ in the woods (no beer unfortunately, can we have beer plz Venthos?!). So it was a hell of a fun night. My nerves were shattered! I have experienced chloroform, it was funny, shady lol'ed a lot, I waited 3.5 mins. Is it possible to make a stab attack similar to this if you have a combat knife? Stealth kills (melee even) would be cool.
