Yes, it is entirely possible to modify every aspect of the server. As long as the positions entered are valid and it is set up correctly, your custom items (buildings, vehicles, etc) will spawn. We've added more maps to the list of available ones for servers. The packages will follow along in TCAdmin soon, with the latest few Arma 2 updates. James Warner Vert Hosting -
On the server titled US 69 Veteran Vehicles: MAXED Helis: 3-5 (v1.7.2.6/build 96584) Sidechat- Enabled 3DP-ON WayPoints-ON Nametags-OFF and I would like the be unbanned. I was banned for supposed Remote Code Execution from an admin. To be honest I believe it was because of me crashing a helicopter but I am not sure. I would have asked the owner or admin but I am not sure who one was since after googling, I only found some statistics websites which did not state the owner of the server or a way I could contact them. :L The name used on the server: Tin Tin

What do we expect from DayZ Standalone?

Make ammo rarer and give us the ability to use the rifle butt as a weapon when you run out of ammo. More melee weapons with their own slot so you have a primary, secondary and melee options. Fuel should definitely be rare, but cars and parts not so rare. Also make it only possible to repair vehicles when you have a toolbox Greater customisation of your character in terms of age, gender, race and looks. Almost Skyrim like customisation. Ability to venture underground as well as more enterable buildings - exploring underneath Green Mountain? All in all i just cant wait for Standalone to come out! -

My server is currently not working(AGAIN), tents and vehicles were also gone, and the time of day changed immediately to night. I've made a ticket, this is basically a last straw ticket for us, if we don't get a solution in a reasonable amount of time, we'll be permanently moving to DayZ.st. -
You do realize the real 40mm rounds aren't that powerful also I got this from Wikipedia and I quote,"Upon impact, the grenade can kill anyone within the radius of five meters, and wound them within the radius of 15 meters. It can also punch through 2 inches (5.1 cm) of rolled homogeneous armor with a direct hit (0 Degree Obliquity), which means it can penetrate most infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers. It is especially effective when used against enemy infantry formations." Unless those people were with in 5-15 meters of the blast yes they would be in shock, massive blood loss, and of course death. If Rocket adds any armored vehicles to the game or standalone you would wish this weapon would be included in the game.

Navy F.E.E.L's is a serious/Tactical DayZ clan based on DayZ Takistan.We have a soft side of the clan which are friendly and do little to no combat.Besides the soft side of our clan we do ops, camping towns, gathering weapons, collecting vehicles and supplies. Our mind is not set to protect others, but to protect ourselves. If you can not take being yelled at and reason for the problems you make then do not expect to go far in this clan. They are open to everyone for the most part. Some have other requirements. But a private hive just means they are not on the main hive. Its a seperate character for their server, meaning duping is less rampant and kids cannot log into another server, gear up then hop onto the server. Some have more vehicles, usually side chats enabled to promote a community. Overall they're much better than regular servers. You can look into the private hive part of the forum and read up about them a bit if you prefer. -
Suggestions for the DayZ standalone - thinking outside of the limitations of an Arma 2 mod.

SInce it seems as if we're just pasting our opinion and hoping it sticks here, I'm for virtually all of the items listed by ruaz(?). As a medical student I'm enamored with the health aspect. It provides so much more depth and cooperation/or/carefullness on the part of the players, making both a new way for bandits to betray/perform their dickery on survivors and subsequently giving survivors more chances to help one another out. For example, if someone enlisted a bandit for help removing bullets or amputating a leg, but they instead just severe an artery with a scapel instead causing them to bleed out (unsaveably) fast, killing them while saving a bullet. So there'd be even more incentive to get people you trust to operate on you. One thing I'm not a fan of though is the weapon degradation, unless it is done correctly. Typical guns today can easily go through a few thousand rounds without giving out with the better variants firing many more than that without being cleaned. If they would mildly hinder or enhance performance by cleaning them or maintaining them every couple hundred plus rounds (Low balling it, preferably many more lasting the life of the gun, not the user) I would be perfectly happy. Additionally, were that to take place it should affect each gun differently. The Colt 1911 and any AK should require much less cleaning than the more finicky weapons. To be honest as well, I didn't read all 30+ pages here to check and make sure I'm not being redundant so I'm sorry if that's the case. Batteries though. There is a distinct lack of batteries in the game from flashlights to all of the higer tech equipment such as NVG's, Red dot sights, et cetera. While granted some scope sights don't require batteries using either Tritium or something along the lines, but most do not and instead need batteries to be anything else besides aesthetically pleasing. Lastly, with the random spawning of weapons and items, I'm for the mediated spawning of military grade items with higher chances in certain areas, but having said that everything should still have a chance to spawn anywhere (except vehicles.) Even if it is a low percentage, it would make many people's days when they were to find a soldiers body with a m249 in an attic or something similar. So in summary: Complicated medicine: Please!, Gun degredation: Maybe . . , and Batteries: please add them -

World space coordinates don't work with Panthera though as i have tried :huh: I've added non dayz vehicles into the db just by copying spawn locations from the world vehicle list from another vehicle but making sure i change the vehicle ID to the one i have added. That way the repairing seems to be ok with the new vehicles. :) Also i have added buildings/camp sites to our Panthera map using the deployable tables but that is a right pain in the neck and a long process,also it limited me to 30 units so making a fortified base was difficult if we wanted to make numerous bases.So if there is a new buildings table when will it be implemented and will i be able to keep my bases i've already added without having to re add them?...hopefully i will be able to add more than 30 objects with that :thumbsup:

Austerror DayZ is a new Private Hive Whitelist server. We currently are running the latest @Bliss (v3.6) and the latest ARMA II: OA patch (Build 98220). Side chat has been enabled while the server population grows but once numbers are high enough side chat will be disabled. All saves working (vehicles/tents). Friendly community, no hackers/scripters/wankers. I have had a lot of experience running game servers and pride myself on creating a fair, just and fun gameplay. Still lots of vehicles to find. Also, since the server doing so well, I'm leaving the password on 24/7 just to keep it protected. I don't wanna risk everyone's hard work. -

Actually, this could work also if it's voluntary. There could be ordinary servers and an option to join a pool of servers where server details such as number of players and who's playing is hidden. If the pool is large enough, the player would know that it would never be practical to try to meet up with someone - and all other players joining the pool would be in the same situation. No player would never know if the server is full or empty. A problem could be tents and vehicles the player have saved. It should be arranged so that tents and vehicles follow the owner. Again, if the pool is large enough any server with a clear area around the player's tent could be selected and then the tent be placed there. -

Good story ZCLUTCH - that is the same avenue we went down when deciding on the private hive. Thank you for sharing. As for requested highlights, here's some more info. 1. Regular day/night cycle set to 6 hours behind EST. 12pm noon EST is 6am in game 2. Loot tables (items, chances, spawning spots) are unchanged from official DayZ 3. Vehicles - default saintly spawns (same as official with a few added), black suv added, fishing boat added (only non-blacklisted vehicles) with a max of 75 total vehicles on server. Technically 3 choppers can spawn at any given time 4. Restarts - randomized and daily. lack of schedule is to remove advantage to those players or groups on only at restart to scoop up new items. this brings balance and gives everyone a fair shot at new spawns after restart 5. Whitelisting - server has no password, but requires whitelisting to enter. a white listing application provides information for us to search through communities for a past record of hacking and other malicious behavior. our staff acting on this are very skilled and very objective. put simply, this process has effectively eliminated hacking 6. Backups - if something happens to the server, whether technical problems or its compromised and a hacker sneaks through the cracks, we have complete control and ability to restore it to a point right before the compromise. nobody loses here except hackers -

We do our best to provide the most customization options for managed private servers. - we have full database access through phpmyadmin or direct SQL access if needed - you can change the map (through the control panel), and and vehicles (through the database mentioned above) - you can't edit the loot tables or loot spawns because those are actually contained within the client files and can't be changed server-side. - we have automated database backups stored every 30 minutes for up to 48 hours - we have two EU locations: London and Amsterdam A dedicated server would give you even more control, in theory, but would take quite a lot of research and time to set up. -

looking for a private hive with modified loot tables

I'm looking for a server that has different weapons, vehicles, skins etc. I'm kind of sick of vanilla dayz items as the only weapon on those servers I'm really ever interested in getting is the M16 Acog. I don't mind a whitelist only server as long as the whitelisting process doesn't take a week only to find out that you aren't accepting more people (happened twice now), or a server where I put an application in and I never get a response. I play solo and am really only interested in killing zombies, not people. I will defend myself if i get attacked but if I see you before you see me then I'll patiently wait for you to leave an area, or simply move on unnoticed. Note this doesn't mean I'm friendly in any way. If I'm trapped/backed into a corner and you don't communicate with me I will absolutely shoot first if I feel that's the only way to safely get out of that situation. This doesn't happen often, but this is Dayz and we all know you can't leave anything to chance. -
you mean vehicles like the UAZ? I came across one in pretty bad condition at Balota which I think is an official spawn so I assume so.

Incorrect statement there Bub. I was getting 502 errors without touching the database. Hell, I just got it trying to log into my account to check on an open ticket, that has nothing to do with database changes. Refreshing the page once? Really? That works for you? You're one lucky SOB. I've had times where I had to refresh 10-12 times at least. SS says they are fixing it this week. I hope they do, I know I'm as fed up with it as everyone else. It's not just about the 502, it's also about response times, I still don't find 24 hours acceptable, they do, so since we'll never agree on that, I'll move on when my paid up month is over. Example: I opened a ticket Sunday afternoon Sunday, October 21st, 2012 (12:04) When did I get a response? Monday, October 22nd, 2012 (22:11) And then it was to tell me "This should be fixed with our 3.7 release tonight or tomorrow!" At least it was communication, I hope it's accurate, but in the meantime I have people running into randomly spawning solid objects and crashing vehicles. I don't think this particular issue is SS's fault, I just would have appreciated a response a hell of a lot sooner. My problem has never been with the offerings, it's the delivery of them, and the response times. I can put up with less 'stuff' if I get better communications. . I've spent the last 15 years working and running helpdesk and desktop support teams... I know just how far good, frequent, speedy communication will get you, even when the news is not always good, it only gets worse if you have to wait extended periods of time for the bad news. Maybe SS needs a support manager - doing nothing but fielding and prioritizing tickets... -

We have over 200 players in various Fire teams and groups playing Day Z and using our Teamspeak Server to communicate and coordinate their scavenges and raids. The community is mostly adult gamers over the age of 20 (well over in most cases!) but there are no age, time or skill requirements - all we ask is you play fair and have a bit of common sense about you!
