WarZ will be like World of warcraft with zombies. Skills, shops, safe-zones, storing items. What a load of shite. -

Face smashers still looking for players!
[email protected] replied to potty's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Hello mate, your clan sounds like the kind of clan I've been looking for. I'm just wondering what's the average age of your clan members? -
Thats a load of crap mate. As many posters on here have already said, no global chat has killed in game team play with strangers. It has nothing to do with how stealthy you are. Since global chat has gone I haven't ran into anybody who hasn't started shooting on sight. I shoot on sight every time now because if I don't, I know the other player will get the first shot and I'm not risking that. I'm guessing you have a gang you travel with and use a 3rd party program to communicate with them. Therefore you have no interest in teaming up with anybody anyway. Either that or you kill on sight anyway.

Radio system with personal number.
[email protected] replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
The option would be there to global chat. Just like tuning into a radio station. Would allow communication with strangers anywhere on the map. If you want to team up with someone you give them your personal number/frequency. Whether you trust giving someone your personal number/frequency would be your desicion though and could still backfire if they are pretending to be friendly. -
I'm new, looking for 1v1s

You could just go play a game called "Call of Duty", it's a very popular first person shooter. You'll find lot's of one v one's on there. :) -

Radio system with personal number.

Edited the idea a little after thinking about what would work best. -

Radio system with personal number.

Glad someone like's the idea. I think the idea would satisfy everyone. People who don't want to chat or see chat don't have to use it. People who want to communicate in game with strangers can if they want to. People who are worried about giving there position away can speak directly to who they want. Might be too hard to implement, just hope one of the developer's see's the idea and gives it a thought. -
Maybe a radio system would work where every person has a unique number/frequency. The option is there to global chat through the radio to other's with a radio but you could also give someone your radio number/frequency. This would not effect peoples immersion because they can chose not to use it. When they dial your number you can accept the transmission or even block certain incoming transmissions to avoid trolling/griefing. This would also stop people eve's dropping to find out your position.

Maybe a radio system where everyone has there own number. The option is there to global chat but you could tell someone your number then when they dial it you can accept the transmission. This would stop people eve's dropping and finding out your position, it would also give the option to meet people in game.

Hopefully everyone will start with a radio. It will be up to the player whether they want to use it or not then. Seem's like this is an interesting debate though. My intention with this thread was really just to see if other's thought the game favoured bandit's more than friendly's. Does seem that banditry is over powering friendliness at the moment. I find it hard to be friendly now. The game has turned me into a cold hearted killer. I want my soul back!

Well the game had chat and was changed. So by your logic the mechanics should never of been changed therefore chat should still be in the game. Not everyone wants to go through the forums and look for people to team up with. Surely having to do that breaks the immersion more than having no in game chat. I don't particularly want to go out and kill bandit's but, as I've said a few times, there should be a choice to team up/communicate IN GAME.

Stat's don't mean much. How many of those deaths are people respawning to get where they want? How many deaths are due to buggy ladders and other glitches? How many are due to hackers? Take all those factors away and I guarantee the PvP related death's % would be much higher. I'm in no way against PvP, it makes the game what it is but PvP isn't a choice any more it seems. Kill or be killed is what it is.
