Hello everyone, I used to be a player who would play the standalone on a fairly regular basis until all my friends stopped playing. It has been years since I have been back on the forums. Could someone give me a recap on what happened in the development cycle. What went wrong/rignt? Is this game still in development? What happened to Dean Hall? etc. I'm glad to be back, Helcol

It was a late Saturday in which I sat there with my finger jammed onto the 'w' key as I ran across Chenarus. As I was running, I realized I hit the side of a barn. Interested, I went inside to see if there was loot. I only found a burlap sack. Disappointed, I walked out the other side of the barn and turned left, only to realize that the other side of the barn was floating 2m off the ground. "You Are Dead" Ladders are not the only thing chenarusians should fear, floating houses is next on the list. (p.s. I had a long range scope and a can opener :() Anyone else experience death from floating buildings?

I really do want to make a chem light runway like i did in the mod, or running through a forest with flare in hand so anyone who was wearing night vision would be blinded. (but please bring chem lights back, I need to go raving in Elektro) -

My favorite part of the forums is how, generally, everyone is respectful of each others opinion and act kindly to one another. In game, however, you would not hesitate to blow my brains out over a can of tactical bacon XD

Recently an early access game by the title Nether announced its official release as a finished game and is selling the game as a released game in the steam summer sale. This came as a shock to me because, when I went back to play it, the game felt thrown together and like it needed more to it. This serves as a warning to Dayz, as gamers, we enjoy playing a nice polished game that has very few or no bugs/glitches/graphical errors/etc. We should all be a bit more patient and wait until the game is fully finished before releasing it as a complete game. So far I am happy where the game is going, if it keeps going this way, the game will have many features that will add to the already successful idea that the mod created. I am so happy with the forum, it is a much more welcoming environment compared to many other forums. We are civil and have conversations that are as civil as possible. I thank the moderators on this forum for punishing people who break forum rules rather than make exceptions because they are die-hard committed to the game, but cannot express themselves in a polite manner. I do have one question: when is the official anticipated release to the game? (not soon, I hope)

This Also, I would like to add that sprinting should, like the mod, slow down considerably the longer it is done. Right now I can sprint from Cherno to Elektro in Usain Bolt time

Personally, here is my list of sounds that I feel should be added. 1. Door Open/Close: this has already been said, but I'll add it to my list 2. Book Page Turning: This would be a nice addition to the books. 3. Smash or Snap sound when opening a can with anything but a can opener: would add another value to running around with a can opener. 4. A Snapping/Breaking sound when you break your legs: would make death by falling even more embarrassing and would make it so that you can tell you have broken bones (a way to take away written indicators). 5. Peeling sound when opening the can of sardines (or tuna, whichever one is open able w/o can opener): Would be a cool sound to add. 6.Pendulum Clocks in game ticking (if they work) and making a loud sound every in game hour: I think this would be awesome to have as an in game sound. I would shit myself the first time I hear one of those ring in this environment. 7.Radios working: many ideas already said for this one, but I've noticed so many radios in houses that do not work, at least some of them should still have some battery juice left? 8. Kicking over a trash can sound: C'mon I'm sure some people out there would love to scare your friends shitless by doing this. 9. Sound for the water pumps and for sipping out of a pond: Will most likely be added, but will add to my list anyway. 10. Window shattering sounds: I'm not to sure whether the hospital windows come broken or if you can break them, but I want to see more windows that I can break rather than an entire town with broken windows every time. That's the ones that I can think of at the moment. Feel free to make your own list and critique my list. I will check this later because I have to be somewhere. I'm interested in seeing what you guys would like to see in regards to in game sounds. {edit}: color change
