It's not a problem to add stuff for sure, maybe coordinate with the mods and @Baty Alquawen to choose 3-4 options that would be nice for the community and we can add them ;)

Hi, I don't know of an option that would to this based on time, on this version of the forums. It can be disabled entirely, this decision would have to be made by the Mods, if they deem it not necessary to be visible to all users, that we can disable it (the Mods can always see who and when a content was edited). There's also a "Merge concurrent posts" option, which would merge concurrent posts if they were posted within a certain time frame from each other, this also depends on the Mods if they decide that it should be enabled, and agree on the time between posts.
