I was very active in the A2/A3 Epoch and A3 exile communities as well as DayZ SA. I shut down my community last year, but with the return of Esseker, I'm giving DayZ another shot under a new community name and Discord server. Server features: Customized weather: Who needs bright sunny days to remind you of better times? It's overcast and foggy most of the time, as it should be! Starting items: You get a stone knife, a map and a compass in addition to the vanilla items because while I want you to die, I don't want it to happen immediately. MOAR ZOMBIES! I've adjusted the zombie spawns so that more spawn at the current spawns. I hope to have more spawn points for them soon. Persistent time: Time stops for no man. It won't magically be day time after a restart if it was just night! First Person Perspective (1PP): Just because. I intend to keep my server as Vanilla as possible, with only what is necessary to proliferate the survival atmosphere. You will not find traders, easy-mode running or unrealistic claims about what my server has. There's no hard and fast rules. We all know the rules of Fight Clu... ooops, I mean of DayZ. Play. Don't be a douche canoe and have fun! So anyway, the current mods required for my server are as follows: Esseker, Community Framework, SchanaModGlobalChat and VPP Admin Tools.

Are you using the official launcher? Have you tried Magic Launcher? Are you sure you don't have anything set in the filter that would prevent them from being listed? Did you think to add them to your favorites in the official launcher to make them easier to find?

Rather than working on console, those individuals could have worked on PC. Releasing an unmodifiable basic game on a system substandard compared to PC was a waste.

Get OmegaManager: https://wiki.cftools.de/display/CFTOOL/OmegaManager You don't need any batch files. It sets everything up for you and automatically updates the mods and server files.

Use the official launcher, find the server and click on it. Let it load the mods that way. You can also try DZSALauncher and MagicLauncher if you like.

You don't. A server owner pays for the server and can do what they want. Their actions might drive away their playerbase, but that's their choice.
