Directional Threat indicators. ?

Recommended Posts

I dont want developers wasting time catering to the lowest common denominator regards equipment. Fuck that.

After building a computer, nobody wants to have to buy ANOTHER sound card just because the developer of one game was satisfied to ship it with bugged audio integration.

I cant see anything bad in this idea, in my opinion the white dots could even be disabled but a visual sound indicator for nearby sounds would not give anyone an advantage but solve disadvantages.

I play on a gaming notebook with a decent soundcard and a logitech g35 headset and i cant tell directions properly. And dont dare to say "uh just play with surround set" or "arguments" like that, i play at night cause i work in the daytime and i cant turn sound up.

How about surround headset? :D

Rocket have mentioned this in some interview, just implement it... not a big deal if its disabled at default, so anyone who needs it can use it.

Those peripheral dots must be removed, so retarted system for multiplayer.... those can.. and are being abused so bad.

Just make screen edge flash red for indicator, very light faded red tint and it fades away in half a sec or so. Flash could be stronger depending how close the shot is.

Yes get rid of those stupid dots on the side of the screen.

As for the SA, Rocket said they would be implementing things for people with hearing difficulties. Maybe they could just fix the sound rather than have indicators. A bullet hitting you should make a sound like a thud on whatever side you go hit from.

..which is only available in regular setting. nameplates have to be removed from SA or just keep them for group member ID. It's easymode on pvp and yet another spoonfeeder option for whiners.

Thats what i said...

and it's not only available in regular setting. You can customize (almost) every setting, at least that's how it is in singleplayer. So veteran can have nameplates and regular can be without them.

And why the hell would you need a 120€ sound card? you can get a mobo for the same price with an 8 channel audio card.
