How to install Panthera and join the server

1. Download Panthera Island
   
2. Download DayZ Panthera V1_3
   
3. Extract both the files in your Operation Arrowhead folder.
   
4. Download the updated key files and extract them to your @Panthera/Addons directory
   
5. Put -mod=@dayz_panthera2;@panthera in your launch parameters.
   
6. Filter for 'Shacknews' and join
   
7. Have Fun!
   

Tips

- If you get caught trying to get through some building doors, go prone.

I dunno whats up. It shows up in dayz commander and in browser for me. We have a bunch of people on now. You can see the IP in my sig. Try that with remote connect.

I was banned from the server a mounth ago for accidentaly using Side instead of direct :*(

Any chance an admin can unban me for that?

I can get on servers and stuff but there is some weird bug that makes it kinda unplayable, there are some type of bushes or something that is very common in panthera that is like complete black/gray and some houses aint showing, so i can only see loot float in the air and i am able to walk right through the "houses". On all other maps everything works 100 % excellent. Any way to fix this, or anyone else had the same problem ?

Edit: Requests.. can you take 50 cal's and thermals out of your server's loot tables and replace them with 5.56/7.62 variants like the m40? We originally left due to a dwindling playerbase but we found a server (survivedayz) that tweaked a lot of the little things.. as a result combat was much more spontanious and put everyone on a (somewhat) even playing field.

Dalfy really wants his m40 camo.

You have to coyp your arma2 addosn folder in your arma2 oa directory.

Beo, did you forward the whole port range? Could cause the not connectable issue.

DayZ Commander is now supporting Panthera , easy way to install files required

Edit; Just seen on the Commander forums it only supports the vilayer version of the mod :(

Yeah it should be all forwarded. It was configured in the past for our lingor server which rand for a month or two without issues.

Hey Lance. Nice to hear from you again. I checked the logs and saw you attempting to connect. Early on it was reporting missing mod files but it looks like you got that resolved. I'm guessing you were using dayzcommander or something originally. Are you still having issues? It just shows you disconnecting after that with no error message that I can see.

As for editing the loot tables, I think that would take me actually repackaging the mod itself. I have played around with this type of thing a bit. I need to figure out how to sign the files for one thing. It is something I want to look into. I would actually like to remove some of the higher end weapons to make it a bit more 'survivor' if you will but It will probably be a while before I get anything done. My company is moving to a new location IRL (and X-com and Dishonored are out :P ) this week so it is going to be tough to find much time to do anything extraordinary.

I was never able to resolve the " You have been kicked from the game." thing. I had assumed it was battleye originally so I updated it, didn't help. I had downloaded panthera through dayz commander at first so that was what caused the missing mod files. I dled through your link though and enabled the panthera mod that wasnt vilayer and that resolved. Now I can't stay more than 15-20 seconds in the game without being kicked. I'm not sure how to resolve this as I've troubleshooted in every way I know how, outside of completely reinstalling the game.

As for reconstructing the loot tables.. I'm unsure of how to go about it, it'd certainly be something to look into. The effect of removing the fear of being scoped out by an unseen enemy at 800 meters with a round that travels 800m per second is definately worth it in my opinion. This is coming from someone who used to use the same tactics to brutally murder innocents searching calamar for beans, it's just not fair.

Bloodriki search for your client rpt file. Dunno where it is located, jsut search for .rpt on your machine. Propably answers in that.

This topic needs moar Dalfy. But seriously, Beo, I'm glad to see shack back up! Panthera caught my eye awhile back when it first came out privately. I never said much to Lance or anyone but it looked quite fun. Hopefully i can play on it soon! And about the loot tables, i think Garrett knows a thing or two about it so you might want to talk to him. Removal of .50's and thermals are great IMO. Whoever thinks they need to be in are honestly shit. They make the game too easy and broken.

Are you getting an error message when trying to join? Did you copy them to the '@Panthera/Addons' directory?
