Strange Happening

Me and a pal were running around a vehicle spawn to check it, when we saw a player running by. As is our philosophy, we shot him down, he logged off then back in and just died anyways. We proceeded to loot the body and got out of there. About 5 minutes later we were running through some woods and we just died literally at the same time. No gun shots were heard and no one could have possibly gotten us at the same time as we usually move with a fair distance between eachother. Now, my question is: did we kill an admin or a hacker that got butthurt and used his "tools" to get revenge on us?

It was quite strange as it never hapenned before..

Admins can't just make you die. Sounds like a script kiddie getting revenge, but maybe you will think twice before you KOS. I have had hackers who were killing people actually befriend me for showing kindness.

The script kiddie probably looked at his map hack as or after you killed him to see who was close to him, then he killed you both with a script. It's happened to me before, most of these angsty kids go for the nuclear server wide kill option but some actually have a moral code about whom they are entitled to illegitimately kill, bizarrely enough.

Why should anyone have to think twice to please a cheating scripter? If they guy was armed it is fair game and the only person who is ever in the wrong in a scripter death is the little douchebag scripter. Showing kindness to a skiddie is a mental defect, you befriend these idiots and ask for a box of weapons and only take a satchel charge that you then use to murder the morons. Sure they will come back but by that time you have already logged feeling less dirty about allowing bullshit to slide since it does not affect you.

To answer OP, yes that was a console kill where the scripter just executed a command to kill you both, not only are they scripters but they suck so much at the game that they are unable to even kill you use teleports and scripted weapons. They are essentially the worst players to ever touch ground in Dayz, can not even cheat to win.

I've seen skiddies(usually snipers) with shields which make zombies drop dead once they get within a certain radius. It's probably the same script but targeted at players.

Yes, Playershield kills any player within a certain range of them. Saw it happen twice with my own eyes.

Most likely some script kiddie out for revenge, or just some REALLY bad timing. I would go for the latter, since that is just total BS if they use it AFTER they die.
