I remember the simple days; I'd start near Cherno and start making my way around the city looking. Perhaps meet another survivor for better or worse (it would make the game exciting, at least) and I'm near my end of my run so I progress out of the city only to be taken down without warning by a cowardly sniper on the hill.

This, my friends and foes, is one of the major things wrong with the community; those who snipe in the hills to those who are defenseless. Not only is this merely a completely dick move, but what joy do you get out of doing such an act? Perhaps you enjoy the feeling of those who's life you've ended in a second when they were no threat to you or could of even defended themselves against such high caliber rifles?

I've felt the pain of others that lost their hard gear; the devastation when your screen lights up and the crack of a sniper enters your chest. To know that I have to wash, rinse, and repeat the same thing I've just done for the last 20 minutes in another, or perhaps same, city. I've felt it over, and over, and over. To the point I have to change to.. low population servers...

Whatever it is that drives such an insane habit, it needs to stop. We need someone to purge the sinned from this earth. I can't deal with it anymore. I send a message out to all of those snipers in the trees, bushes, and hills that look over main cities to snipe the innocent; I am that savior of the pure, I help those who cannot help themselves, I kill those who desire to kill, I am the light at the end of the tunnel. I am Toast, Protector of the Innocent Fresh-Spawns.

I recommend you grow some eyes in the back of your head, snipers.

Let's see if I can sum this up. Some folks like to hide on the hills and take potshots at other folks for the sheer joy of killing. Other folks don't like this, and feel that is a cowardly way to play. The snipers don't like being called cowards, and complain that they have every right to act in this manner.

Does that bring us all up to date? I think I have a solution - Snipers, carry on as you have been. You do in some odd ways provide a needed service in Chernarus - that of keeping people on their toes. I don't like your playstyle, but that don't mean shit, now does it?

Victims that are getting pissed about it, maybe you should consider taking up Snipe Hunting as a hobby. Systematically search and destroy any camps you find, watch the typical Snipe spots for bandits and kill them on sight. Make it harder for them to enjoy their kill count. Hell, maybe some of them will enjoy the adrenaline of being both predator AND prey more than sitting around taking cheap shots at gearless spawns. Castigate them in the forums all you want, that's not a downside for them, it's justifying their "fun".

Snipers, when used tactically are meant to take out enemies that WOULD be a burden to your squad, being a SUPPORT class. When used solo, it is viable, but frowned upon.

When used against unarmed, it makes you a retard.

Think of this: you are in WW3. Instead of looking for valid targets, you are busy sniping the innocent civilians.

He's just saying snipers can be dicks and he's warning them that he's going to hunt them. Afaik he doesn't say this needs to be changed, except by his hand.

Okay, I do agree that freshspawns shouldn't be killed the first few times they spawn. However, sniping is a lot safer. If you saw someone with an M249, and an entrenching tool, would you rather go up against him toe-to-toe with your M4? Or would you like to blow his head off from 1600 yards away.
