tents placed in water and nonenterable buildings

Recommended Posts

I was infilitrating a teamspeak server on a public hive server where I overheard a group of regulars saying they placed their tents in both water and the inside of nonenterable buildings. They also have a vehicle placed inside said building as well. I know the coordinates for both but I am not sure how to loot the tents. Any suggestions?

I'm still a bit confused, how will they reach it if you can't? Anyways get to the place and check it out. It might be popping out.

Get into the water slowly until you can not move anymore without swimming to get close to the tents. Crouch/go prone to go under water and violá, you should be able to access the tent. Similar game with nonenterable buildings. Just walk around them spamming the scroll wheel on your mouse until you can access the tent.

Pretty lame tactic to use to be honest but oh well... here's hoping for standalone.

Both my 'water tents' disappeared after the server software was updated to the latest version on a private hive.

I'm still waiting to get an extra tent to test that it's still as safe as pitching on land, or if it's counted as 'off map' now.

They're difficult to spot, but are usually less than 20m from bank or shore. You have to get within a few metres to

spot them.

For the tent in the building, I think they mean that they stood beside it when pitching it, so that only the entrance

sticks out a little, if at all. The only problem with that is that when you try to pack it again, you lose it in the building.

Other than that, it gives better protection on the ground than trees do, and above from helicopters.

For the vehicle, I can't imagine how that is clipped inside the building. I think what they mean is that the house

has an awning on the side, and it's parked under that to prevent helicopters spotting it. On the ground, parking

a vehicle in plain sight next a remote building is probably almost as good as trying to hide it in a forest, since

the trees don't offer much protection at all.

I don't think so. What's lame is that the map is no good for hiding items that took you countless hours to collect.

If you want your tents to last for more than a few days, you have to do everything possible to hide them, including

using clipping.

If you go into the game's files and remove the trees, bushes, buildings, etc. then those items won't appear in the game and you can walk through them or see through them. However, nearly all servers will kick you after a few seconds once it detects that your files are missing. If they have a vehicle parked inside a building, it means that the server you are referring to does not check your files for accuracy and thus you can remove trees and/or buildings. Cheaters will use this to scout entire forests in a matter of seconds, or hide stuff inside of buildings.

If you do this, however, basically every server will automatically kick you after a short delay - other than this one, of course, since they have that safety disabled.

The tents in the water you can find just by proning a few inches into the water and looking around, no cheat required.

EDIT - And obviously, I recommend not playing on that server. It is operated by cheaters.
