Bear Traps

Can you save a bear trap once it's placed, or is it a given that the trap is gone when the server restarts? Just trying to decide if it's buggy that I cannot save a trap, or if that option really is not available. Found a partial discussion on this, but nothing conclusive.

Bear traps are risky buisness, if you place one and then decide to move it to a different position, the first, even though not there will still spring and break teh legs.

As to the question, I'm not sure if it's a Server restart or the character dying that glitches.

I'll go for a server restart being the problem as I've lost beartraps before without reason..

The "bug" is on the fix-list somewhere.

So there is no "save" option then? I'm actually experiencing the opposite of the typical trap bug. When it disappears, I can walk over that spot (I have morphine with me) and nothing happens.

Are bear traps still in the game? I was finding them left and right when they were first rolled out. Now, I haven't seen one in weeks.
