Any word on an update to fix BattlEye?

I wasn't aware it was broken, update it manually if it isn't updating automatically.

Download the latest version from http://battleye.com/...ew/BEClient.dll

Put it in your BattlEye directories, in my case:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye

I've asked for help with it a few times, basically the issue is that whatever I do - I get kicked with the message "BattlEye stopped responding."

I've tried everything, started a few threads and looked up a few - bit I've gotten nowhere :/ Last step of progress I made was doing the manual update, then in game getting all the correct BattlEye messages, but still being kicked for it not responding - so basically I think the problem lies with BattlEye crashing, or something stopping it working correctly - but I can't think what.

The only idea I have left to try, is to completely reinstall ArmA and DayZ and start from scratch, although I can't see this making a difference.

Finally connected for a server, asked me to create a new character, I did - played for a while, didn't get kicked. I figured it was fixed, and then I went to change server (Because I'm a noob who hates being in the dark and not knowing where he is)

AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN ;_;

Right, so manually updating my BattlEye seems to get me about 20 seconds of gameplay before I am kicked.

Really don't understand this :/ Guess the only thing I can do is completely wipe it all off my PC and start fresh, and hope I get somewhere.

Try connecting to a server but waiting in the lobby until you see the message telling you that Battleye is updated to 1.175 which is the latest version and then join into the game, one of our players had this issue and it was because he did not wait for it to update properly before starting to play. Might not be the problem your having but worth a try.

How is your HDD?

When did you check it for errors and when did you do a defrag last?

Been little while since I've defragged to be fair, so I'll do that.

But I do have 499GB free on it right now.

Try connecting to a server but waiting in the lobby until you see the message telling you that Battleye is updated to 1.175 which is the latest version and then join into the game, one of our players had this issue and it was because he did not wait for it to update properly before starting to play. Might not be the problem your having but worth a try.

I've tried this, I'd say about 9 times out of ten, I get kicked while I'm waiting with the same message :(

Client not responding: This can happen if the server's or your connection times out for quite a while or breaks up completely.

Same for this message from Battleye, have you done what they suggest at Battleye?

Yeah, I had a look. But apparently my router firmware is up to date - so I'm sure the problem doesn't lie there.

Thanks for all the tips guys, might just have to try completely unintalling Armed Assault and Operation Arrowhead, then re-install them, DayZ, etc etc, and see if that works.

I had the same problem. My solution was to download the dll to desktop, then before I connect to any server I copied the dll file to the OA/Expansion/BattlEye folder. This gave me a success rate of 9/10, but I had to do it before connecting to any server, meaning if I jumped out of one server with Dayz still open, I couldn't connect to a new server before I copied the file. If I didn't, I had a success rate of 1/10. It sounds weird, I know, because they never write to the file.

Anyways, since 1.171-ish came I haven't had this problem anymore.

One annoying thing, which is BIS' fault, is that every time I update A2 with a new beta, I always get an old BE-client which has to be updated. Previously this has been successful once out of maybe 20 tries. This time it went without a glitch so I'm suspecting that BE has updated their router's firmware. ;)

I have the same plroblem now .....

With 1.174 I was being kicked every 10-15 min .. then 1.175 came and I was able to play without any problem. Day after that 1.176 came and since then I'm being kicked again for client not responding .....

I should add that my problems with not responding always happened when joining. Once I survived the first minute, I could play for hours on the same server.

Ah, so say I launch with DayZ commander, but not to a specific server (Just to the ingame web browser) then copy the latest .dll files into the correct directories, I should have a better chance of it survivng?

Gonna give this a shot, in the meantime I did e-mail support at BattlEye who told me to check my router firmware (Sigh) - I've told them what my router is, and that as far as I can find on google, it is fully up to date - there was a router setting guide out there on these forums - but I can't follow it because my router seems not to have ANY of the settings I need to change to "fix" this problem.

Gonna launch DayZ then manually update BE just before I connect to a server and let y'all know. Thanks once again for all the positive help.

Oh, and for you other guys having the problem, I attempted a full re-install of everything to do with DayZ - and had no joy, just to save you the time of trying that one!

Well for me it didn't matter if I did it before Dayz commander started dayz or before I connected. My issue seemed to be that once BE had initialized, it couldn't be "re-used" on another server. So before I joined the other server I had to copy the dll again. It doesn't make any sense, but it worked. And I'm on a 70/10 Mbps line with a router capable of routing 800Mbps with NAT and firewall enabled so that isn't (wasn't) the problem.

That is as you know, not the content of the file you see there...this is a operating system generated runtime error message.

This means all comes back to your platform.

Check your OS installation, check your HDD for faults and do a defrag. Also check your RAM for faults.

Any difference if you dont use Commander?

What I´m after is that I want you to close any other application, such as SIx or Commander, after start.
