Is the radio legit and if not can admins ban me for having it?

I killed a bandit at the NW airfield today on SE 46, the guy was loaded with everyting, all legit exept mabey the radio? I got all tools incl the entrenchment tool and military flashlight, NVG and rangefinder plus an M107 and micro uzi sidearm and ofcourse the cayote backpack. Thanks mr bandit named C"something" (I dont remember) :) Is the radio illeget, if it is I will blow it up with a grenade :) Thanks

Everybody who has a Radio are able to use Side-Chat.

But those without a radio can't see it.

Edit; But to answer your other question; Yes. Admins can ban you for having it.

Admins can ban you for anything they want, pretty much, since the server is most likely not connected to hive, and therefor not much can be done if they do, as far as I know.

1: Radios have spawned in the game for months...but they are ALMOST useless....there are likely plans for it later on in development.

2: Go to the place we do not mention with the radio and enjoy a little something something, very few DayZ players have experienced (at least first hand and without cheats).

Thanks guys! So it has been legit before and later removed, that means it could bee one of the ones left from the older patch. Wow so you use it for the sidechat on servers with disabled sidechats. Hell yeah Im KEEPING THIS BABY!!

I heard storys about green mountain, I been there before once and will probebly never go there again, not alone anyway....I got no one to play with.

You can get banned by over zealous admins but I think it's pathetic to include this item in the script to ban for dis-allowed items and the chance of this item being legit are so tiny you can say it was scripted in, there does appear to be quite a few appearing the past few days as on a hi-pop run last night my crew picked up 3-4 radios from dead players who had all inventory tools.

You've clearly never had a radio before. You cannot use side chat. The purpose of radio's is to communicate with other players, but you can't actually do it, so it;s useless.

There's a high chance that you will be able to communicate with other players who have a radio, most likely bandits will have them to communicate with survivors who need help. So I'm waiting for it.

Well Rocket if your out there in this crazy world, have the radio actually be a radio. It'll make my life so much easier, and a lot more exciting; probably even other people will feel the same way as I will.
