Has Anyone Ever Shot Down a Chopper with a Rocket Launcher?

As the title says - has anyone actually done this?

Do you have proof - a video etc.

I have never found a rocket launcher and whenever i see a chopper i dream of bringing the nazi bastard down.

I have never done this but early this morning i was playing in first period on my laptop when i seen a chopper flying overhead in chernogorsk so i took out my m203 wich was mounted to a m16a3 or something like that and i took a shot at it missed then took another shot and hit it right in the main rotor assembly then a guy bailed out but they were already to low and he broke his legs and the helicopter landed on him his two other buddies died in the crash because the never got to eject. I wish i had proof maybe my classmates could vouch for me. but anyways the pride was unbeleiveablr until i hung around the crash site too long and someone snuck up on me with a ghillie suit and shot me down. It then got me to look up if anyone else has shotten a heli down with a grenadelaucnher and found this thread instead. I like to play in the server, if you filter and search for America Dayz its my favourite. :P happened to be where i shot them niggas down. ahha :thumbsup: :D

My buddy and I happen to joined up with two other fellows one day at dusk. It eventually turned to night and only me and my buddy had Night-vision.

A Chopper was spotted circling a wreck location we drove to and spotted the other two men who joined up with us, they were blind and used their flashlights to make a break for the woods. As this happened me and my buddy made our way, cover to cover until we got to a point where the chopper was hovering trying to kill our other group members.

I had an FN FAL with an RPG and my buddy had a Sniper with NV, we counted down from 3; he sniped the gunner and I hit the pilot directly in the kisser with the RPG, the he-lo went down and we then proceeded to loot it.

Great experience I will never forget.

*Come to think of it, this all happened in Wasteland now that I recall. Still awesome tho.

Hello there

In Arma it's perfectly doable to take down a chopper with a m136. Its just a matter of gauging height/distance to get the "drop" on it.

Mainly hovering helos though.

In DAYZ, I've never seen a launcher.

Our private hive had them fixed for about two weeks (so they actually worked) before they got removed in a patch.

I only managed to kill three things with it, including an ATC and a boat + myself and a friend.
