[ex medic] So I caved and went Bandit.... sorta... (+ questions)

Please note: this is not a QQ thread, people accusing me of QQ will simply be ignored.

After playing medic for so long, I decided it was time for a change of pace: I turned bandit; But not the “cherno sniper” or “costal shooter” kind of bandit, who runs around popping the heads of the unarmed dudes hugging the coastline. Not the bandit that kills people because it’s fun, or kills everyone on sight because of paranoia; A legitimate bandit, not a psychopath (or little kid) using the term ‘bandit’ as a shield from being called a greifer. (because let’s be honest here, your Cherno sniping is to have some fun at the expense of the poor costals down there.) I’ve been legitimately robbing people and I have to wonder, is anyone else doing this?

Are there any other bandits out there that prefer a nice, clean, stick-up as opposed to the shoot-n’-loot approach? If so, I’d like to hear your stories, and maybe get some tips on how to pull off these muggings more efficiently.

Here’s how 90% of my encounters so far have played out:

Me- "Drop your gun, and secondary; do not turn towards my voice!"

Random- “FRIENDLY FRIENDLY FRIENDLY FRIENDLY (screaming into mic whilst turning and firing at me)”

*Bang bang*

Me- “Did you seriously think that would work? (while looting his unconscious body)”

But hey, for every 3 people who don't listen: I get at least one person who can drop his gun and walk away unharmed. Which is nice, I like it when no death is involved. So again, any tips? Or am I stupid for trying to be a legitimate bandit?

[[Edits: Ironically enough, I was (kinda) beat at my own game yesterday. A man wielding a lmg stuck me up for my bizon, he made a mistake by not requiring me to face away from him and I emptied half a mag of MK (which I had in my backpack) into him before he could react and fire back...

It's pretty funny watching the reactions to a friendly demonic voice demanding their gear.

Well, I understand their twitch reaction, but maybe you need to tweak your initial approach -

personally I'd rather be robbed this way, than just shot in the back with full auto AKM fire like happened once before.

I don't play on hive servers much anymore, after my 30+ tent camp was burned to the ground. I'm mostly playing on the "forgotten" private hive server.

I guess I just don't respond well to demands from a complete stranger (in game or out of game). I'd be the guy turning around hoping for a lucky shot as caving in to a total strangers demands in a video game is simply not an option.

Haha that is awesome. I have been killed only twice by other players. One random sniper outside Stary. That other guy, also in Stary, I just opened the door to the super market and he blasted me. Wish he would have held me up haha.

Hive servers I play a legit nice guy, but on private hive I like to just run around Elektro (actually on the street, not from a mountain top) for the PvP, I think I might have to try this out though.

I've always wanted to do it, but I'm most of the time sitting on a hill sniping while my buddy goes in and loots. When were low of supplies, someone is doing overwatch and someone goes in and loots. So if you ever see "Elite Skydayz", turn around... PLEASE :D

New plan, I will forever carry a grenade now. I think this is much better and more effective, as equiping and turning would be more troublesome of course. Come at me.

From going from bandit to medic, no bloodshed is better and more fun. I even let the poor guys keep thier weapon when I had an overwatch, but I'd take the ammo or leave them a hatchet. I'd love to be robbed by someone like you rather than just shot on the job. It's been a while since I've been looting bloodbags and hear someone suddenly telling me to drop everything, blood bag them and leave. XD Ah the good ol' days.
