Blood/Food/etc stops working with Debug on

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I'm a relativly new player to DayZ (I'm loving it!), and I've run into an issue. When I started, everything was running fine. Then, after a while, the debug monitor dissapeared. I figured out how to turn it back on, and it's still the small version in the top right of the screen. But when the debug monitor is turned on, all off the food/water/visability/audibility/ect stop working and just show solid green (ex. With debug monitor off, standing up and running makes my visability monitor go full. With Debug Monitor on, standing up and running shows that I'm still completely hidden and completely silent).

I've tried googling the issue, but always find topics about how to either turn the debug monitor off/on, or how to make the debug monitor go back to the small size in the top right. Everything is still playable for me, it's just a bit of an annoyance to have to hop into the options and change everything just to see my actual blood count.

Anyone have this issue before? Any ideas on how to fix it up?

Thank you,

EnderMurdoc

The debug monitor is eventually going to be removed entirely, it's only there for debug purposes. Currently you can switch between a working debug monitor or working HUD icons.

Some private hives have it set up so you can have both working if you want it badly, i usually just turn it on if i really need to see something on it, i can usually tell if i need blood without it.

I hope we can tell somehow how much blood we have. There is a huge difference between 8000 and 9000, and boy you better be sure about which level you are at.

So true. I think it'd be really cool if the blood icon would have some sort of an indicator if you're below the magical 8000 "zombies might knock you out with one punch"-line.

As of now just determining from the colour of the drop-icon is just.... vague as hell

Have to say it does annoy me that we play the game with it on and then they just pull it out of the game. So you've no idea how much blood you've lost, whether you need to waste that vital blood bag or not. One slash from a zombie and you could pass out if your blood is lower than you think.

It changes the game's dynamics. You have to be much more vigilant for zombies because you can't always tell when they're close. I just hope they can at least change the hud information so that with the final version we get more of an indication of our blood status, so we have time to get to food/blood/medical help.

yeh would be cool to have a hotkey just to show the blood level only, but hey it doesnt detract from the game any.
