son54 78 Posted September 25, 2012 This is mostly spawned by those who have ran off north and spend hours running around in pointless woods and duping gear.Actually living in cherno is different. You can expect one or two hotshots to try to take you on but they usually arnt to bright. Then you see groups of random friendly survivors raiding and helping each other just because. So go to hell KoSers, snipers, and those who avoid all human contact unless thats looting a dead body of the dude you just KOSed, take your autism to some other game.

smore98 225 Posted September 25, 2012 I can respect what your saying, that most people just run in the woods since it's just far more easier to deal with, and I do agree that cherno is a good challenge based on the PvP records. However, heading north is a valid tactic to use, as it brings a bit more variety into where you go. I love cherno and all it's random encounters, but it's also a hotspot for random hackers with airplanes and bombs to blow every to smithereens.

RogueOne 112 Posted September 25, 2012 (edited) Not every one who avoids Cherno/Elektro are dupers or whatever your getting at. Most veteran players avoid the south because the action is up north. Only thing you find south where the spawns are is noobs and spawn snipers, No thanks. I bet you wouldn't last 10 minutes in Stary or NWAF where the real killers live so I would disagree that living up north is "easier". It's a video game, you play it. Unless you are professional and make your living off of it as a career.Edit: That came off harsher than I meant it. Should have proof read it first. Wasn't trying to flame. I just found it the training reference funny. Edited September 25, 2012 by fatherjohn

Powell (DayZ) 734 Posted September 25, 2012 I met some guy in the Elektro church, he was in the doorway looking at a dead player. I could have easily shot him, but instead I called out "What happened in there?". He says "Hello?" and we have a really awkward confrontation as he comes slowly out of the church and I'm outside with my lowered Winchester. We both go inside, and I loot some stuff, when out the corner of my eye I see him aiming his makarov at me, then switches to a hatchet. So I stop looting the pile and move to another corner, where I loot another pile. I look behind me and he's aiming at me from behind a bench. At this point GTFOing and I say "well I'll be on my way" and after a pause, he says "Cya". I guess some people just can't shake their murder lust
Guest Posted September 25, 2012 I challenge you to go into Cherno or Elektro shouting that you are friendly to nearby survivors. Time how long it takes to be shot. Go on. I'll wait. The game is what it is. I think it's a little unfair to insult anyone choosing any other valid play style. You don't like those who run north to avoid conflict, but also don't like bandits and snipers in cities? Is there any style of play other than your own that you do like?"Autism is a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior."Let the bandits be bandits, looters be looters, and let you and others who run around cities getting shot and start complaining about it complain.Meanwhile, I'm logging back into one of the several snipers I have set up in Cherno on various Privite Hives. son54 78 Posted September 25, 2012 The point of my post was to counter all the bandits on the forum and youtube saying "oh everybody will kill u unless your on skype so what im doing is good"

The fallacy I'll pinpoint is the idea that people head North to avoid contact. I'm friendly as shit and the reason I go north is so I can attain gear to defend myself with when I roll into town. My FAL or M14 beats your M16 or AK-74 on anyday. I don't go North to avoid contact, I go North so I can survive contact for longer anybody with any brains does the same. Josh225 129 Posted September 26, 2012 Up north to avoid contact? Bro i go up north to hunt groups, the real fun is hour long gunfights with another organised group over some sort of objective.

Just wow.Now beyond everything else people have said about going to the north...I've lived in cherno for a bit, lived in electro for a bit, and yes you do occasionally see people helping each other out. However during my time there, and in other cities, and playing lingor the incidences where people are not friendly towards one another once they have a weapon are far far greater in numbers. It is more often than not far far safer to kill someone than to let them live, or help them out.Personally the number of times I've been killed by people, or have gotten into running gun battles throughout cities when I did nothing aggressive towards them have far out numbered the times that people have helped me out, or that I've helped someone out and not been shot at/killed by them.Stereotypes exist for a reason. They do not apply to everyone, that is true. I've met some really friendly people on occasion. But I've also encountered enough people that my first instinct now is, if i'm alone mind you, that I will kill them if I get the opportunity. It is just far safer. If I start to get shot at I will attempt to locate where from, but usually its some lame fucker with a dmr trying to cap me. Ill just dip outta there and roam for a bit. Usually find a cool bro with a dirtbike or some dudes waiting for a bus

People worry so much about their virtual beans that they will kill people instead of interacting with survivors, which is the point of the user created experience. Dankine 377 Posted September 26, 2012 (edited) Because a lot of people play the game to survive, hence it is safer to kill people you don't know. Stop with this autism shit. All it shows is that you are idiots who frankly don't know the first thing about autism, nor have a clue what you are talking about.
