I dont think so. I have been playing online games for many years , going back to medal of honor spearhead, and cheaters have always spoiled games. maybe he will learn from this !!

Harsh maybe, but I have three lads and if I caught one of them cheating I'd probably sell their PC, I've played games since I was 13 and the only "cheat" I ever used was a level cheat for Lara Croft on the Playstation so I was only cheating myself.

Let's just hope the lesson had been learnt.

Stiff but justifiable punishment.

I wish more parents were as aware of what their kids do on the web as you are.

Ask the Harvard group of students who decided it would be better off to cheat there way through Harvard rather than failing and potentially ruining there lives. Cheating worked for them, hell you probably mow one of there lawns now! Maybe you should ask your son WHY he cheated and discuss alternatives rather than hashing out a harsh punishment for something so minor. The fact you call him a lil "turd" shows your level of disrespect and immaturity towards your son, and possibly you don't know what your doing.

Your seem very bitter, im starting to think you too could be a turd, you seem to be for cheating rather than against. If everyone had your opinions the game would not be worth playing. Now go do your home work !

@ BudBaker. It's "their lives" and "their lawns"...you probably cheated your way through English class...

@ the OP, you sir have my beans, teaching the young man that actions have consequences is a valuable lesson indeed. Cheating, Harvard or no, will only get you so far and in the real world where one is expected to PERFORM, those that cheat will quickly be discovered to be nothing more than an empty suit.

Thanks god (or any other alien entity) that i didn't had a father like you. If you do not understand what you did wrong (we are talking about a kid cheating, not an adult) then you do not deserve any further explanation. I suggest you to correct your parenting, or you'll grow up (this time for real) some "big little turds" (to use your own words).

If you were just trolling.. ignore this message.

Get this straight, I am not bitter, this is purely reality. You really have no clue how the real world works. If you think anyone is going to be standing next to your son at McDonalds to high five him for doing his best and failing, you are deluded. History is written by those who achieve, one way or the other. Maybe your son is not good enough to play without the cheats? He should be congratulated for adapting and overcoming his situation instead of accepting mediocrity. If you really think "well I did the best I could" means anything to anyone and will be celebrated, again, you are deluded. ALL of the most powerful people in the world got to where they are by overcoming and adapting their counterparts, i.e. cheating. I say good for him! It sounds like your son will be successful in life no matter what the obstacle is before him. As for you sir, FAILURE!!!

2 months is an eternity for a child, might as well make it 2 years jag off. If I were him I'd piss on the motherboard of your computer.

lol.. In my house cheaters WILL BE PUNISHED, if my son cheats his way through life , he will get no where, any adult on here will see that, you are obviously a cheater , maybe not in game but in life, and unlike my son that will be your downfull.

He knows what he did was wrong and has told me he knew it was wrong before he did it, hes accepted that he is a cheating little turd and will now also be washing my car every sunday! bonus

I dont want my son to cheat through life, if theres somthing he dose not know i want him to learn it, not cheat it, and just for the record i have a very good job that takes me all over the world and very well paid ;-)

To BudBaker and WalkerDown, what is it about this that you don't get? Cheating is wrong. Doesn't matter who else you claim does it. Aside from that, his cheating earned a global ban from the game on a SHARED copy of the game. Here, let's get your copy banned so you can no longer play at all. Still think it's no big deal?

As for the punishment handed down, doesn't seem harsh to me. There's this thing parents are supposed to teach their children, it's called ethics. The ends do not justify the means, no matter how massive or insignificant those ends may be.

Beans to the OP.

As for Bud and Walker ... please do not, ever, procreate. Please, please, please stick to self gratification with internet porn. It's actually people like you two that raise children with zero morals that grow up and fuck other peoples lives up.

OP btw please scan your PC for malware. The cheat your son downloaded might just have been a virus replacing your cd-key with an already banned one.

The lil guy was just having FUN, remember that word "FUN". We got a morally righteous dad calling his own son a "turd"... "Don't cheat son but you can call others names" Just like "DAD" Great lesson!! Done with this... Start beating the lil guy too, show him your authority.

To OP, your a PRICK.. I know it and you know it!! But most of all now your son knows it.

So your raging over how someone is parenting? Maybe his punishment was a little harsh, but the kid deserves it. Settle the fuck down....

It's a very good thing that this is the year 2012. If this had happened in 1970 and you said that. It didn't matter who's kid you are, you would have been sent to get a switch from the nearest tree. If you didn't, It would have been gotten for you, and then the cheeks of your bottom end would have been reddened to the point you could barely sit. If you fidgeted, you'd get more. Backtalk or lip of any kind didn't happen much because it would have gotten your face rolled to the back of your head with the back of a hand. Decide to give a glare? It would get rolled to the other side with the other hand. We didn't have child idiots back then, children respected their elders and valued their insight and wisdom. Not much of that takes place in today's world.

Comments and attitudes of this child attest to that.

You know, with your attitude of adapting and overcoming, you should be in the military. Cheat in an NCO Leadership course, see how that works out.

Cheat in an obstacle course, see how that turns out.

Try cheating in a fire fight because your buddy shot your target on the live fire range. See how that works out for you.

Seriously, adapting is one thing, but you have rules that you have to adhere too. You can't go below the hard deck in an aircraft during maneuvers. Why? Because you may end up auguring into the ground if you violate that.

Learning to adapt is one thing, learning to adapt by ignoring rules is a totally different situation that needs to be prevented.
