Is it possible ? - who killed ?

Recommended Posts

Our server went Private vilayer, and I was wondering if there is a setting or config or something we can turn on that will show up bottom left to say who shot who.

So is this possible, I know the game bugs out every now and then and shows this info by mistake so I hope there is a way to turn it on all the time.

thanks in advance.

You can't have that on your server at the moment, i am afraid.

But it would be a good feature, a bit of fun and also to spot hackers names easy.

It allready works, have seen it on multiple servers, shows up as friendly fire messages & is easily configurable by the server host.

Yeah need to know how to turn it on tho Razorman any chance you could show us some server IP's or a server name I can look for might be able to talk to the admin or host directly to find out how they did it.

Here you go:

http://community.bis...ver.armaprofile

Adjust the "DeathMessages" value

This is only: X was killed

not X was killed by X as the OP wants.

It seems like it was ingame in the "old days" but got removed. It would be possible to get it out, if you know what code got taken out/replaced to remove the option you want.

but i dont have the slightest idea of where to start looking tbh ;)

Yeah its crazy not having it, I mean whats the point of showing a player being killed at all if you cant see who killed them, we need to be able to see who's killing people.

Its something that should be left to the server admins to configure.

I believe rocket took it out, coz it was to unrealistic to see who killed who.

With some minor script modifications you can add it back in!

Help the people out mate, give us a link, a description of what to or anything really.

If you know how to do it and its that easy, pls share with the rest of us, as this question has been in the forums for a LOOOOOONG time.
