I'm sure 70% (if not more) of Day Z players have never even heard of ArmA 2 prior to Day Z. Therefore, Day Z is a title that brings in a 'different' crowd, not a 'new' crowd.

I don't think you get what I'm saying. Of course you can do whatever you please. But to come to the DayZ forum and start blabbing about how it has ruined the game, introduced hackers, brought all these "kids" and such, is a pretty stupid thing to do. This thread was started because peoples gear was lost in an unfair manner. I don't think it was started to flame the devs for a fix, but for enlightenment and to make sure the issue is known. And then you come in and say all these stupid remarks about how its funny that people complain that they lose their gear to a hacker. So what if people are attached to their gear? Read my very short post history, I haven't complained about this mod a single time. I realize it's in Alpha. I realize there are going to be bugs and things that go wrong. My only issue is with your posts in this thread. You are complaining about how DayZ and it's community destroyed ArmA II. And then you are giving shit to the OP for posting a thread about people falling from the sky. I don't know what the original intention of his post was, but stuff like this needs to be known. Does it require an insta-fix? Of course not. Rocket and the dev team have their plate FULL. But if things like this aren't brought to light, how do you know that they even know the problem exists?

Day Z is just a mod for ArmA II that draws in the hacking sort because it brings in a grinding attitude like BF3 or COD, but Day Z does not translate into vanilla ArmA II. I never said it destroyed ArmA II, I simply said ArmA II didn't have hacking until Day Z came along, so really, Day Z has hacking, ArmA II does not.

I play Day Z because it's fresh, but the current build is stale so I'm waiting for 1.7.1. I also get that it's an alpha and that it has a fuck ton of dipshit players that have brought along really immature play styles from other games, but that is part of the mod isn't it?
