Thinking of becoming a full-time city dweller

Recommended Posts

DayZ, as it stands, is dead to me. Sorta.

But, I recall that my best moments where the odd times where I was on a near full server and in either Elektro or Cherno. I oft ended up going 1v1 or 1v2 with a makarov and maybe the occasional winchester or Enfield. Heck, I've had a few good runs with a goddamn crowbar!

To think these moments where I forgot about food, water and zombies in a game about survivalism and zombies is a strange thing.

So yeah, now I'm thinking about doing this full time, at least until something better catch my eye.

Maybe catch a shogun on a low pop server and hop right in a high pop server in the residential areas of either of the big cities. Not hiding or anything, just running around, aggroing and meeting other players whom I'll probably shoot down. Not on sight, mind you. I'll make my intentions clear by shooting high once or outright speaking it out.

Even thinking about playing a ice-cream truck jingle on loop in direct chat...

So, that's my plan. Those are my handicaps.

Endgear? Camps? Tents? Got that, had that, went there.

So, got to spice things up. Anybody else trying to wring DayZ for the last delicious joy drops?

I'm planning to do a gunshop and hand out the majority of my weapons and gear that I have, as I have multiple of a lot of things.

After that, I think I might go and make Cherno and Elektro safer places. Or at least, more fun places.

I feel what you're saying. I stopped playing a couple of weeks back and just now playing other games and waiting for the standalone.

I wish they were doing a new map for it though.

And every other player is there for the PVP too, which kills it.

Elektro and Cherno are mostly runned through by beaners and the likes, which can make for some interesting meta.

EDIT: i've tried lingor.

and before someone tell me to try Takistan, I did that too.

They actually are updating it and adding more features / spots etc.

With the update to the scripts/hacks bypassing BE globals again, it is getting tiresome.

I'll wait for WarZ and DayZ retail, jump on with some mates when we're bored. But half the time we get insta-killed or thermal sniped. Plenty of games releasing soon that will tide us over such as Borderlands 2 until retail.

I do not have enough beans to give you.

What I do is basically log in, run around Elektro or Cherno for basic supplies, head off to get better weapons, return and try to help out new players by killing any bandits I see, bloodpacking etc. until I die. It gets quite intense at times.

I agree. I pretty much hang around Cherno now with the occasional trip to Balota and Elektro. It is much more fun not worrying about your gear, just having a bit of fun. I set up my own apartment in Cherno for a while.

Setting up a shop sounds pretty fun actually - might give it a try.

DG's Bean and Ammo Shop - open for business.
