Actually I already abandoned that boat (its speed was like 14 at max), but when I'll find better I might want to stick with it ;) I think irl it would be the best idea to spend nights(logouts) on boat, and scavange land at day, so I would like to try that in DayZ. The other sad thing is that you cant walk on the deck, use binocs etc., thats making me cry to my pillow.

I saw a video of some guys who fixed up a boat on Youtube and wondered the same thing.

It is saddening to hear you can not walk on the deck, from what I can see you cannot even attack from the boat either?

From what I can tell, when you log out the vehicle remains on the server, so I can envisage the ocean having scattered boats from people who have logged out on them haha..

IMO though the PBX should be found, repaired and then be able to be upgraded with more parts to turn it into a RHIB.. i.e you need to find the gun(which could also be used with a mounting bracket on he back of say the Ute), seats etc.

I Logged out on a boat and logged back in shortly after and ended up in the ocean with the boat nowhere to be seen.

The best boat to get is the PBX.

It's very fast and doesn't use fuel to quickly.

Yes, if you log out and log back in you will most likely be in the water. They drift.

That lea right back to the land vehicle problem. Going to shore, saving the boat and hoping for the best.

DO NOT RUN OUT OF GAS. If the fuel is flashing red, hit shore IMMEDIATELY.

There is no option if you are stuck out in the water. Nothing. You have to swim in. And wow, is swimming sllloooooooww. And of course the flag that can be turned on or off for losing your gear while swimming....
