Thats all a matter of how badly you want to keep your stuff. If it isn't worth the time it would take to crawl around, or to try and solicit medical assistance, then go ahead and suicide. Though if you do I recomend you at least try to run into some zombies rather then simply use the broken leg suicide, more satisfying.

And then learn your lesson about not carrying multiple morphine injectors. There is nothing at the airfield that you *need*. When you fall below acceptable amounts of medical supplies, you get more medical supplies from some place safer.

I crawled from Devil's Castle all the way to the airfield once. Found a morphine in the last room of the barracks LIKE A BOSS. Of course, you can easily just call the medics, as I suggested.
