karthanistyr 1 Posted September 17, 2012 Ok, so, I was strolling alone in the wilderness, until I heard footsteps just near me.I quickly scanned the area and spotted a guy running towards me, wearing military clothes, and blood all over his body (looked like a zombie skin or something)But it was clearly behaving like a player, because, it was then running around me, not quite agressive. I noticed a chopper in the field just near me, it wasn't there before.I suspect it was an admin, because it was suddenly kind of teleporting, it disappeared several time to appear 10 or 20 meters further.And then it killed me, but not before me putting several Lee Enfeild bullets in the chest. Invulnerability also?Are the admins supposed to do something like that? They spend their private time to nail down cheaters and also pay the monthly rent of the servers.The company that can do something against cheaters (ArmA license holder) and which made over 20 million dollars recently out of our money is pretending that this is "Alpha" and we have been "warned" - ....yeah I say - right.... I also do not care that DayZ standalone is under development.What they have to do is to remove few scripts and release DayZ server side "tuned" ArmA - they have just to spend a week and remove teleport, invisibility and invulnerability scripts. porter653 1 Posted September 17, 2012 IMO you just need to develop the ability to quickly abort if hackers upset you, because you are going to deal with them, often.And what I mean exactly is to abort if you're susipiscous that someone is a hacker. Don't abort because you got outplayed and someone is going to legitimately kill you.Hackers often dress differently. There are only players with civilian clothing, camo cloths, or ghillie suits. There are only certain kinds of zombies. Learn what these are, if you see something different then get off the server. If you think the hacker is friendly and dare to stay on, then within a few minutes someone is going to upset the hacker or he will get bored and kill the entire server at once.If hackers don't upset you, then screw around with them and have fun before you die.If they do upset you, the only way to handle it is to switch servers. If you're playing with friends and they don't believe you and don't want to switch servers, then laugh at them when they all get taken out.And of course you won't always know when a hacker is about to kill you, they will get you eventually.
